Hi,

as this theme displays the cart quantity in the header section its necessary for the “get_refreshed_fragments” feature of Woocommerce to be enabled to ensure that quantity is accurate.

This usually results in the longest wait time component for serving and displaying a page – most noticeable on mobile devices which are now more important than desktop for ecommerce… further on from that this also is now a ranking factor on Google search.

I’m currently using WP Fastest Cache for my client’s site… I’m aware WP-Rocket now has a feature that disables “get_refreshed_fragments” for first time visits.. and this is the only caching plugin i’m aware of that does this.

I was wondering what’s recommended as a caching plugin for this theme where Woocommerce is being used?

I’ve optimized this site as much as I can and I don’t see the CPU hitting the limit on the server side (from viewing those logs in C-panel)… So I’m not sure what else I can do to improve performance.

YSlow Score
C (71%)

on GTMetrix however Ubersuggest is giving me 9s for mobile devices which doesn’t seem very good.

From Theme Options > Home Slider you can choose the “Images in Carousel” slider. Then you can set your homepage as the latest post page from Settings > Reading. If there are specific areas you’re wanting let me know and I’ll be happy to help you implement them.

You just need to paste the code directly under the shortcode in your edit page. If you want to send login info I would be happy to help implement this.

4. It’s really bad for performance to force that many posts into a page. Why not use pagination?

4b, there isn’t an option to change the blog template image output. You would have to edit your own child theme and override the parent theme template to change how the images output.

5. It’s not an option at the moment but I’ll put it on my list to consider for future updates.

Hey Robin,
In your edit page it looks like you have the image size set to large within the image block settings. You should be able to limit the image size there. Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

Hi There,

I am having a problem with getting an image to display as I’ve styled it- actual width of 300 px wide. Every image I try in that row behaves the same. Instead it ignores the settings I’ve specified and goes full width. It seemed like buggy behavior so I checked to see if the theme had an update I could install and it did. But when I installed it I crashed my site. The page I was working on is here:

(the logo is the image that won’t behave)

Since I had to have the site restored, the hosting service (GoDaddy) said I should alert you guys.

I don’t have a ton of plugins and no new plugins in a while.

This css will hide that space:

.page-id-259 .vc_empty_space {
    display: none;
}

You can paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Custom CSS.

I’m still seeing it, but I think it’s being added by your page builder plugin. Regardless, you can override with this css:

.headerclass, .mobile-headerclass, .kad-fixed-vertical-background-area {
    background: #fff !important;
}

Thank you. It didn’t work. But that’s okay. I will just stick to the grid layout for all pages and that solves the problem. Actually, I think I like that formatting the best for our purposes.

1. You can add as many images to a post as you would like. I went into your test page and added an Advanced Gallery Block and created a full-width slider with your two images. The title and subtitle colors can be set from the same place where you set the title image (in your edit page under Post Title and Subtitle).

2. Which editor are you wanting to use? Please pick only one:) If you want to use the block editor you can add all your text into a paragraph block within the editor. If you’re wanting to use page builder by siteorigin you can paste your text into a text or visual editor widget.
Kadence Blocks is a toolkit for the Block Editor.

3. Which main post page do you mean? Your archive page? If you do not set a title or subtitle under Post/Page title and Subtitle settings then the page will pull from the page/post title set for that page. Does that make sense?

4. If you click the dropdown arrow beside Add New (when creating a new page or post) you should see an option to choose the block editor (where you can use kadence blocks) or page builder by siteorigin. Simply clicking Add New will take you to the classic editor because you have the classic editor installed.

hi I have installed Ascend Theme and I would like change Kadence slider on front page.
Usually is done in Theme Options, but I just found out it is not possible change anything.
I run Child theme, but this remains even I change to last version of theme.

Hi, Gang,

When I click on a Category, the category page shows two posts in different formats. I have reviewed each post. I have checked everything in the panel in right sidebar and in the formatting below the post. I have no clue why this is happening.
