Trying something else:
I made a staging site to test some stuff out.
I made a portfolio page with the portfolio template and used the filter option.
I have made three portfolio test posts.Two problems:
1.
Filter is working good, but when you click on for example ‘timelapse’ it filters to two posts. When you click on one of the posts and go back it is not filtered anymore. I would like to see that it is still filtered. Otherwise it is not a nice user experience as I have a few different genres. I don’t want that my visitors have to filter everytime they click on a post and go back to go to another post…2.
Another strange thing are the breadcrumbs… For a portfoliopost it shows: home-blog-portfoliotype-porfoliopost.
Blog should not be in the breadcrums of the portfoliopost.Thanks in advance!

Hey,
This has to do with limitations to the permalink structure within WordPress. You can have competing permalinks with a custom post type.Since portfolio by default uses portfolio/post-title-slug. you can’t then use portfolio/page-title-slug.
By setting a page to have a parent that parent page slug is used before the page title slug in the permalink.
You will need to change your portfolio page slug to something different if you want it to have child pages. Meaning your portfolio page url slug could be my-portfolio and then your child pages would be my-portfolio/page-title-slug and that would not conflict with portfolio posts.
Does that make sense?

Hi all
we want to embed a fullwidth background video as banner on our website.
At the moment we have hosted this video on our own webspace because we haven´t found an option of embedding it from utube. Is there an option to embed it from utube or vimeo?
How can we set the video shown fullwidth and playing in the background?Our video is just a “slider” of a few pics using the Ken Burns effect. Has any Kadence slider a zoom feature like the Ken Burns effect?
My last question: is there a an option to use the video only on the main page and replace it on all others sites by one picture?

we have been using the free version of the Virtue Theme since a couple of years because it´s really awesome. Due to an relaunch of our website we have decided to upgrade to pro version and we´re looking forward using it with tons of options.

We prefer a full layout (header and footer) with a centered container of fixed width. So we choose the full width-layout as page layout. So far so good. Now we want to enlarge the default container width from 1170px to 1400px using.container {
min-width: 1400px;
}in the theme css.
Is this a sufficient and complete way to do it? Or do we have to implement this in a child-theme?
Further it seems that the default container width for mobile devices are linked to the mentioned width of 1170px. Do we have to modify the container width for mobile devices in a similar manner? In this case: what are the ideal values?Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I have a pinnacle premium theme, but somehow I cannot post in that forum…
I want to change my portfolio but cannot figure out how to do it. This is what I want:
A page with the portfolio types/categories. And when you click on a category all portfolio posts of that category/type will show on a new page.
I tried to make a page with a few images with links to pages with a porfolio grid template with the page ‘portfolio’ selected as a parent. On each template I selected the specific portfolio type which has to be shown but I get a 404 error. This error only happens when I set ‘portfolio’ as a parent.
Cannot figure out what the problem is here!
Don’t have a link because I deleted it. If nessecary I can make the page like I want again so you can see the problem.

The easiest way is through the domain where you want to deactivate it. Just going in and deactivating on the activation page.
It’s possible that you created the site on a development domain then moved it to a specific domain, during the move the URL wouldn’t change on our site (although I’m looking at possible ways to do that) but would maintain it’s active status through the first URL it was activated on.
If that isn’t showing for you to deactivate then it’s likely not active and will show that on the site in the couple days.

It’s just a matter of what needs to come first, we’ve found that most users don’t use a testimonial submission form. Instead, they collect there own testimonials and put them on the page, using a block interface to add instead of another post type makes it really simple for people to add and edit testimonials in a visual interface and because you can make that one reusable block it’s easy to show them multiple places and manage them from one place.So building first for what most people are looking for gets the priority. However, adding a post query block that can output in testimonial styles is something I have on my list. It’s just not very high.
You can, however, add a carousel or a grid of your testimonials posts using a shortcode so there is a current way to do it just not a block interface yet.

I am working in http://www.puentemodular.cl, the desktop version is Ok., it starts with a video on the home page.
My problem is with cellphone version, I am using just a picture because of quicker loading but I don’t know why when I open the page the music of the video starts to play.
I used Kadence Slider pro for the video and the picture. Is that my mistake?

Plz can you advise how I can change the default height of the default title area on My account pages and potentially other pages too?
I’ve figured out how to change this on categories and how to add images but I don’t wish to have such a high title area on every page.
I am also using elementor but i’m guessing it’s best to make these changes through the theme itself?
Yours from the snapshot looks about right but on my site the height of the red background is huge!

I do believe it was some sort of conflict with the update. I have not yet contacted the developer, but that will be my next move.
On another note, I was wondering if you could help me figure something out with the top bar. It seems since I’ve added a navigation and cart total to the top bar that there is a random FaceBook icon that’s appeared and it just links back to our home page. Not sure how it got there or how to remove it. Any ideas?

Hey John,
When you reach a certain amount of variation possibilities Woocommerce changes how those are controlled because of site performance, It goes from javascript on the start of a page-load to an ajax mode that queries the site once a selection is made.
You can use a function to change how woocommerce works and force a large variation product to be handled via initial load but I do not suggest it:

Hi Duncan,
I don’t believe there’s a way for the button to take on the theme styles by default. However, you can set default styles for the advanced button from the Kadence Blocks Controls > Kadence Advanced Button. You can find the Kadence Blocks Controls from within the block editor on the top right of the page.
