Hi,
I updated the Ascend theme a few moments ago, and after I had, I noticed that our job listing pages are now broken.
The message that comes up is:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/bluespo6/public_html/wp-content/themes/ascend_premium/templates/entry-meta-custom-date-author.php on line 36
There has been a critical error on your website.”Any advice on how to fix this?
Thanks.

Hey,
Sorry, I did not realize you were using the free version. Is there a reason for this?
As a workaround you could add your call to action into your static homepage. To change the tag within the built-in home call you action you would need to add a custom function into a child theme. Or else use premium.Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Staff Grid – Shortcode?
November 18, 2019 at 1:10 pm #240761Hi, I’ve created different staff profiles using the Staff feature you have.
The staff page is nice, but I was wondering if you have a shortcode to include the staff grid within a page, so it can be styled easier?
Thanks!

Hi there,
We are working on a page which includes several Slider Revolution slides. While the page displays correctly, using Safari on a Mac desktop the page scroll is not smooth, its like it ‘sticks’ before scrolling up or down too fast. This behavior is not noticeable with a Chrome browser.
Switching to TwentyFour theme, the scrolling smooths again and goes back to jumpy when switching back to Pinnacle.
The page can be viewed here: *Login to see link
I appreciate any guidance you may provide.Thank you

1. Sorry, I didn’t realize you were adding your gallery through the advanced gallery block. From your advanced gallery settings in your edit page you should see a Caption Settings tab and there you can turn your captions on. Does this work for you?
2. I’m not experiencing that unless I tap the image. Would you like css to remove the hover for mobile devices only?

In forum: Ascend ThemeHi,
I’m having difficulty getting consistent line spacing between lines of overlay text on the slider for different screen sizes and resolutions.
For example on a tablet screen if I turn the device on its side, the text overlaps whereas when I place it in portrait mode the spacing between lines is too much. (I’ve also added a separate slider for phones as the performance of the video is a little sluggish on small devices)
I’ve created 3 lines of text on the home page slider here…
Any suggestions? I’ve tried different line heights, but its a crapshoot
on my tablet (landscape)…
on some devices its worse

November 15, 2019 at 11:35 pm #240683Hey,
From the output of the slider on your home page there isn’t any information for layers. This means your server dropped the layers or something in your database failed while saving. Or any number of other server errors. Regardless it means the layers are not in the database so the best thing is to restore a backup. Once you get a backup loaded then you should check your php error logs to see what happened. It could have been a error caused by some other plugin that prevented the save from running, I can only guess without more info.Ben

Shoot, I missed this until just now. I didn’t get a notice from the site this time. Sorry! That setting was on. https://meadowcroft-dyeworks.com/crayon-box/
As to what I’m seeing on my mobile phone, it’s with each of the 12 large images on the home page: https://meadowcroft-dyeworks.com/

Something weird just happened. I have a Kadence Pro Slider for my Home page, about 7 slides. All have text and all have images. I was adding some images to one of the slides, slide 6 to be exact. I was trying to add them in the “exact” size, as GTMetrix was telling me it was better to have the images the actual size than having to resize them each time on a load.
Well, I did resize a few and add them to my media folder. I then added them to the slide, saved the slider and then reloaded the home page. It seemed fine for awhile. Then I decided to add some images of baseballs. I also loaded them up.
Now all my 7 slides are blank! No text at all, just background images on slides 1-5, and 7. Slide 6, now has no images. And all the text I had put in al lthe slides is now gone.
What happened? How did it disappear?
Site: https://www.cagesplus.com/
This is serious and I need to get the text back on my live site.
After just about every new images I either changed or added, I did a “save settings” at the bottom of the page. Please help!
