Have a new question, I tried but did not get a solution.

I used a “Row Layout” block with a background image on top of the page
It is set to “fixed” and “cover”. The problem is, when opening the site (in Firefox), after about 1sec the image realigned. That does not look good. Any idea why this realign is happening and if I have a chance to get rid of it?

Hi Team, we haven’t activated blocks as yet as we don’t have time for the learning curve whatever that may be, atm.
Yet I get this error {“this block contains unexpected or invalid content”} comes up when I go to edit pages and I need to convert my pages to html every time I want to edit them and need to edit as a html document which mum cant do so she has to wait for me her daughter to add all the changes and links etc to any page.

any ideas on how to fix this thanks, I have attached some screenshots

Thank you soo much, the code removed the logo display.

I don’t understand the width 90% but that was probably done for a reason? {likely to get the menu to spread full width of something} I guess thats not standard? I might try removing it and see if the sidebar pops back up to the side, Without any other things going wrong.

Thank you for the direction I was now able to remove it from all pages except the reviews {testimonials} page.

Thank you, I don’t see any update recommendations in my dashboard, which is how I usually update, is this because it is running a child theme? I’m not sure how to update without breaking something?

Ben I’m not sure how to address what you mentioned? a long time ago you made the child theme for us, to make some necessary changes to the way things appeared. How do I fix that code?

Here are some screenshots so you can see the issues in the way it loads.
    topbar loading incorrectly
    http://mosaichouse.co/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Top-menu-loading-incorrectly.png

I would upload another shot but its not doing it this minute, it was displaying al the product descriptions on the home page and there were large gaps of white due to this and it looked a mess but won’t seem to do it now…

    Thanks so much

Hi All, got an urgent one re: reusable blocks with Pinnacle Premium. It was all working fine a week ago but now the blocks still show in the front end and existing content through the admin but if I click on the plus to add new block the Reusable blocks tab does not appear UNLESS it has reusable blocks on the that page already so it’s not very helpful!

I’ve updated, disabled, rolledback, etc, with no joy. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, Google has recently started emailing about schema warnings. But your markup is correct on the page: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.senzaconfini.at%2Fprodukt%2Flustige-esel-karotte-socken%2F

The warnings are to alert you to a potential issue but they are not errors which are actual issues. Since your product doesn’t have any reviews then it’s actually correct that you have no rating or review tags because there wouldn’t be any information to outline.

    Does that make sense?

Thanks for the feedback, yes the controls in Gutenberg for page width are found on the topbar in your image, you will see that with many different types of blocks as well.

Archives are planned, eventually, everything can be AMP, google doesn’t yet show those pages in search but they may in the future. Also for some, it makes sense to just redirect all mobile traffic to AMP (essentially making a mobile theme) and that is planned as well.

I contacted them, no response for now and I don’t expect too much support because the plugin is meant to restrict whole pages.
And it does the job well. I could restrict the archive pages but then unregistered users can’t use them anymore.
The plugin does not filter the loop, just blocks pages.
I need to filter it if user role subscriber is logged in …or find another way to build archives.

    Thank you for your time

We have a plugin that is built for site origin pagebuilder and allows for this: https://www.kadencewp.com/product/kadence-fullpane-vertical-slider/

I don’t yet have the javascript built for this to happen within Gutenberg, but it’s something I’m considering as an option for the advanced slider.

How do you change the typestyle size? One page has one size and typestyle, the next has a different typestyle and size.

I see no where to change the type or size.

Your website isn’t very user friendly.

Custom Sidebars are working on my POSTS and CATEGORIES, but NOT on PAGES.

These are the steps I am following to add a CUSTOM SIDEBAR to one of my PAGES.
    1) I have created a CUSTOM SIDE-BAR (Theme Options-> Misc-> Create Sidebars.
    2) Then I go to WIDGETS and I added some text to my custom Widget.
    3) Then I edit the PAGE and select on PAGE ATTRIBUTES on the right menu and there on Choose Sidebar, I selected my CUSTOM SIDEBAR.
Then click on UPDATE the page.

However when I go to view the page it still shows the DEFAULT SIDEBAR, it doesn’t show my CUSTOM SIDEBAR.

    This is the link:

    Thanks!

    Hi guys

I’m building a site with Ascend. On mobile devices, I’ve set the height of each page section to 100vh, and I’d like to have the page automatically slide to the next section when the user scrolls with their finger. It’s the same kind of effect as shown here:

Are you aware of a way to do this, either with a plugin or custom javascript?

    Thank you Hannah, worked great.

    Unfortunately I found another problem.
The Site uses “Restrict User Access” to hide a post category (MITGLIEDERBEREICH) from unregistred users, but I found a way to still get those posts.
Open a post single (on homepage bottom are a few) and go to the Sidebar > Archive > November 2019 …and that will show you also the “hidden” posts.

If one tries to access the category or it’s posts directly, the restriction plugin works fine.

Is there a way to leave one category out of this loop?
That archive widget is a bit limited, jet good to have on the sidebar. Hope you have some ideas.

Thank you for your answers Ben!

Nice to hear, that we have same opinion in cases of Home-Layout-theme-options and Gutenberg.

About bullet point 4, “4. How to add full width rows on a boxed content page?”
I found a solution in your blocks:
Using a “row layout” and looking directly in the options at the top of the block. I looked all the time in every single option on the right side, but to “break the boxed layout”, you have to use the following options in your “row layout”-block at the top. It does exactly what I need.
    Wordpress-kadence-full-width
(you have to click the image to see the option i mean)

Hope to find the missing blocks (and features) in the future in your block plugin. In the mean time I will deal with everything I have. 🙂

I think I will post some more suggestions and questions in a few days. But before, I will dig deeper into your theme and your plugins. As I said, it’s great! And with the suggestions, it will be perfect!

    Hello,

I have WordPress 5.2.4 and Kadence blocks 1.7.2 – but the using the row layout some chapters get very narrow. I wonder if it’s a thing in Gutenberg, that you cannot see the grid, as I drew here with green.

I attach a screenshot of the Bear pages. The blog pages won’t scroll till the end, that is the bottom of the footer.

Your tip about the blog page option, no sidebar, was great! I hadn’t noticed that.

    Thank you,
    Ulla

I believe you can use the same action in a child theme as this one: https://www.kadencewp.com/knowledge-base/add-conversion-tracking-script-woocommerce-thank-page/

    Let me know.

    Thanks for this!

    1. Yes, by January (or sooner) all demos will be using Gutenberg Blocks, at the moment I don’t plan to have any using a page builder. All the demos are currently being redone with Kadence Blocks 🙂

    2. Yes, all the demos will by default not use the home layout to create the page, it will still be there for backward compatibility. I first had to get all the blocks built, now I’m implementing demos to match.

Every Feature Virtue and Ascend have out of “theme options Homepage” settings should be available with your block plugin

Yep, I’m close just working out a portfolio grid/carousel block as one of the last missing parts as well as a carousel for any type of nested block 🙂

    3. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll add it to my list to work on.

    BLOCKS

    1. That’s a good suggestion, I will look into that. By the way I’ve added an advanced slider block, it’s not totally the same as the Kadence Slide pro but does give you some options to build in Gutenberg.

    2. It’s a widget used in builders, making a block version is planned.

    3. That’s a good point, it should be added to blocks, it’s a little different then adding a svg like the others so I need to get creative.

    4. The page you linked to isn’t using boxed layout? Can you link to your site? One option is to make the page content not contained then add a row.

    5. Right now only a shortcode, making a block version is planned.

    6. You can do something similar with our info block, see here: https://www.kadenceblocks.com/info-box-block/

    7. Animations on scroll are part of the options, see here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-10/

7b. Hmm, it’s not just css to power something like this because of the on scroll event. So just targeting the image in a testimonial block would be tricky, let me think on that. Perhaps a case for a custom option just for that block. I do plan to add normal animation options to the testimonial block really soon.

    Ben
