    There is a warning in page source which I can’t identify. I’ll post it in a private reply.

    Thanks,

    Phil

    Excellent, that worked. I also added this –

    .select2-container .select2-choice {
    border-color: #fff;
    }

    to display a white box around the dropdown box.

    One more thing I’m realizing is hard to use in this dropdown: it highlights items using the dark red used on the site for links and page numbering. While that color works great for those things, in this dropdown it makes it hard to read the black text that’s been selected. Is there a way to selectively change the color for selection just in this dropdown?

    Thanks so much for your quick response this morning, it helps a lot.

    Some of the images on this advanced gallery page are stacking one on top of another on first load. It doesn’t clear until the page is refreshed. I added Cache enabler and also Optimole image optimiser today hoping that would help but it is still happening. Do you have any thoughts what it might be?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    it is possible to display only posts in the search results of the page? Thanks in advance, Gabi

    Hi, we are using ascend theme ( with siteorigin page builder) and, like in this page you can see how, when the page content is not enought, the footer climbs up the page and shows in the middle of it.

    usually we add a white space on the page content to enlarge a bit the page lenght but is not a good solution.

    is there a more elegant way to push the footer down to the browser bottom?

    thank you very much

    I would like the URLs for portfolio pages to include the category they are in, instead of the generic “portfolio” that WordPress supplies.

    I do not want to change the Portfolio Permalink Base, because I have three different categories. Each page should show its category in place of the word “portfolio” in the URL. All of my pages are assigned to only one category, so there should be no ambiguity.

    So, for a portfolio page of type FILMS, instead of
    website.com/portfolio/portfolio-page, the URL would be website.com/films/portfolio-page

    And for a portfolio page of type PHOTOS, instead of
    website.com/portfolio/portfolio-page, the URL would be website.com/photos/portfolio-page

    I would prefer not to use a plug-in for this unless it’s absolutely necessary. Does this require altering a functions file?

    Thanks if you can help with this. I will post the site in a private reply.

    I thought it was the Kadence Image Carousel as I haven’t installed any other image carousel plugins. How can I set up the image carousel in the body of a page like this one?

    That was super helpful for the front page.

    Do you have a suggestion for the button on the contact page, too?

    Hi Ben, I’m stil experiencing problems with the Elementor footer and header.

    The current header is from my theme settings and is not from Elementor settings. The Elementor header is saved as a draft as Header Test 2 and is not live.

    Whenever I try to create a header it changes the page background colour from white to grey and also cuts the homepage feature image at the top replacing it with a grey header colour. I have entered CSS to make a transparent sticky header until grey. If you scroll down you will notice the Elementor header is transparent and then turns green, but the header behind is grey. I haven’t put setting for this. Note, this is on the draft header which is not live.

    Could Elementor be changing other forms of coding or theme files which are impacting different visual aspects of the page? Having looked on the footer.php and header.php it is still showing information for ‘ascend header’ and ‘ascend footer’. Could this be overriding Elementor settings?

    Thanks in advance,

    I went to my website today and I noticed that all of my sliders had disappeared from my website pages. I’ve been using this same theme and website for a couple of years. I checked Slider Revolution to be sure that the sliders existed (they do), I went to Theme Options> Home Slider> “If Revolution Slider” and made sure that the slider name was properly entered (and, it was) and I still can’t get my sliders to appear. I use this same theme on another website and it is working properly. I checked out the data from one website to the other and I can’t find any reason my sliders are not showing… on any of my pages.

    Any suggestions???

    My url is … this is the url that is not working right.

    The url that is working is .

    I read somewhere that the standard editor will go away and not be supported by WP by 2020 or 2021. Is that true? Will Page Builder continue to be supported?

    That is not true. The classic editor will be supported until no one is using it any longer. Which means most likely they will be around for as long as WordPress is.

    Is it true that as soon as you hit return in a paragraph block (or any block for that matter) you have ended it and have to add another paragraph block to start another one?

    That question doesn’t make sense to me. It’s true that a new line block is added but each line of text on your site should be its own paragraph block that is how it’s supposed to work, you can always edit a paragraph and add to it at any time.

    Using blocks, how can you add a background image with some opacity to it and have text on top of the image? Not just a title and subtitle, but some titles, text (several paragraphs) and buttons?

    You need to add a Row/Layout Block. Then you can add unlimited blocks within that row. A row can have a background like you requested and an overlay with set opacity.

    See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYb24ncjVsY

    How can you add a background color for several paragraph blocks and not have white space between the blocks? I don’t want to change the entire theme colors. I just may want to change it for a few paragraphs for emphasis on a particular page. Oh, and by the way, I can’t seem to add a background color to a list block.

    You need to do as I said above, add a row, set the background in the row and place as many blocks within that row as you want.

    All these are easy to do with your PageBuilder, but I can’t seem to do it with the new “block” structure. Even your Pro Blocks doesn’t seem to handle it. Am I missing something?

    Sounds like you are missing the row layout block. That is a very important block.

    I hope that helps!

    Sure, try changing the above css to this:

    @media (min-width: 768px) {
    .page-bread-container {
        float: left;
        margin-top: -80px;
    }

    }
    Does that work for you?

    I suggest this css if you want it above:

    .page-header {
        display: flex;
        flex-direction: column-reverse;
    }

    .page-bread-container {
        float: none;
        margin:0;
        text-align:left;
        padding-top: 0px;
    }
    .page-bread-container #kadbreadcrumbs {
        float: none;
        text-align: left;
    }

    Make sure to remove what you previously added.

    I’m seeing three products on your home page? If you are still having an issue can you send a login so I can see your settings?

    Hey,
    You need to talk to the Marketing agency about which plugins they suggest. If you need code to output with add to cart button for example or on the thank you page then you can’t add that in the header scripts. You’re going to need a plugin that specifically integrates with Woocommerce to add this kind of tracking code.

    There are various plugins that do this. for example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-e-commerce-for-woocommerce-store/

    Hi Spencer,
    Here is a response from the developer in reference to a similar request:

    There isn’t any scrolling action happening when you collapse an accordion, the issue is that your page size changes and the browser by default stay where it was scrolled to. If you are 1200px down the page it stays there, if by collapsing the accordion the height of your page is how only 1000px the viewport will be showing the footer. This is one of the accessibility things with accordions and why many suggest it’s best to avoid accordions if you have a lot of content.

    There isn’t a whole lot you can do but I do know of some javascript hacks that could force the browser to move to a specific area of the page.

    Let me know if you would like a javascript hack and I will flag this for the developer.
