Hi there, the social icons and dropdown arrows aren’t showing up on just this page of my website: *Login to see link
They’re displaying everywhere else but the blog. Any thoughts on what that could be?

September 17, 2019 at 11:36 am #237602Thanks Ben, that has worked for the footer. There were a couple of pages where the padding seemed to be sticking, but since adding your revised CSS for the footer it seems to have resolved itself.
I have used very small images (320×320) for a visual index, the others are 1350 high to try to get them to look good across different devices. I need to work on this. I have just added another post in connection with this issue.
Thanks again

September 17, 2019 at 11:17 am #237597Hmm it’s the transition in.. I see:
Update to this:
@media (min-width: 992px) { html, body, html body .animsition { height: 100%; } html body #wrapper.container { min-height: 100%; position: relative; padding-bottom: 107px !important; } #containerfooter { position: absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; } }I see the top padding removed. What page are you referring too?

September 17, 2019 at 11:06 am #237592ok, thanks for posting. I see that when you add an image and then edit text the image is not shown. It’s still there just not shown. Reload the page and you will see the image come back.
I’ll put this bug to be fixed.

Hi Jon,
For this to apply to all posts you would just remove the post id. Like this:.single-post header#kad-banner { background: url('https://socialwork.uky.edu/socialworkwp/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/downtown-wide-low-level-page.jpg'); background-size:cover; background-position:center; position: static; padding-bottom:32px } .single-post #topbar { background: transparent; } .single-article article header { display: none; }You can find all of our theme documentation here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Image sizing
September 17, 2019 at 11:01 am #237589I’m working on two sites (artist) that both have a similar objective; one important image on each page, very little text. The idea is to get a good sized image (but not full screen) on a white background, across a variety of devices. There is a mix of portrait and landscape format images, and in some cases there will be a click-through to a Lightbox for additional views.
I’m still finding my way around Kadence and having some success, but sizing images using advanced gallery etc is proving challenging getting them to look good on both large monitors and smaller laptops (it’s fine for tablets and phones). I don’t want the images cropped by the window.
I have to confess I hadn’t heard of Gutenberg in this context a week ago. I’m wondering if vh/vw or vmin is a good approach, and is it compatible with Gutenberg and Kadence? Perhaps there is a better way I have missed?
Thank you!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Woocommerce image sizes
September 17, 2019 at 9:47 am #237586Hi,
I have a question regarding the image sizes for profucts. If I don’t use the theme’s image sizes but rather enter my own in the customizer settings, I am unsure what sizes should be chosen since image sizes will depend on screen size. For example: On desktop, my main product image on the product detail page will have a certain width, but on mobile it will be LARGER because image and product summary will be collapsed underneath each other, so the image actually now takes up more space then on desktop. the same applies to shop archive pages: On desktop, I might have 3 columns and each image might be let’s say 400px, but on cell phone there is only ONE column meaning each image will be larger then 400px. So what sies should be entered? Always the largest size a particular image can have?In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: CSS: header background image on a POST
Thank you Ben, for the code & the explanation. I think posts being so different from pages really threw me off.
One more question, what would be the code to apply this header to ALL POSTS, not just this specific one?
And is there any documentation any of this (CSS posts/pages, header/topbar), for me to read further or to use for a reference?
Thanks,
Jon

September 17, 2019 at 4:42 am #237582Thank you. I copied/pasted the CSS to Theme Options > Custom CSS. It has worked partially (the footer hasn’t moved on most pages and the content isn’t moving up on new pages added since) so I wonder if I have done something wrong. I note there is also another place to add CSS under ‘Customise’. Is there a difference in how these function?
In forum: Virtue ThemeI am trying to right-align the nav menu on my homepage based on Site Style 4, so that the right edge of the last word in the menu is aligned vertically over the image below it. Currently there is 20px of padding to the right of the last word.
Image attached illustrating what I’m going for.
I have tried to add custom css to address this, but it also reduced the padding between menu items. I would like to maintain the current spacing between menu items.
Thanks if you can help me out here.
In Theme Options>Home Layout in the Homepage Layout Manager, I have Page Content enabled.
When I active Site Origins Page Builder it removes my Page Content from the home page but it does not disable it in the Homepage Layout Manager.
The Page Content is replaced with a section from the Virtue Template that I’ve long since removed.
The image shows the Virtue Template section that replaced the Page Content when I activated the Page Builder.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeI am using Pinnacle Premium with the Kadence Related Content plugin and the WooCommerce pre-order plugin. On a product page, the information for the related content is incorrect. The price and button for the related product displays the price and button for the product.
This seems to be the oppositte of the problem I had back in January 2018 when the price and button of the product were being populated with the info for the related product. *Login to see link

September 16, 2019 at 12:58 pm #237559I suggest you use this css:
.postid-9144.single-post header#kad-banner { background: url('https://socialwork.uky.edu/socialworkwp/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/downtown-wide-low-level-page.jpg'); background-size:cover; background-position:center; position: static; padding-bottom:32px } .postid-9144.single-post #topbar { background: transparent; } .postid-9144 .single-article article header { display: none; }Posts and pages are totally different, you can’t treat them the same, the output and template are totally different.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: SEARCH does not appear to find basic words?
September 16, 2019 at 11:48 am #237550WordPress search does have a hard time searching content withing a page builder. Siteorigin exposes the widgets internal text for search a little better and if you use that with the flip box it shows in the search results but elementor doesn’t get widgets content into the search. If you use none “WordPress” widgets, items that are specifically created for elementor those are usually able to get into the content in a way that WordPress can read for search queries.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Shipping options style
How can I change the look of the shipping options text in the Cart Totals box (both on the cart and the checkout page). It’s hard to read and compare for customers because its in bold, how can I lessen the weight of the font for the shipping options? (Just the options themselves not the subheading “shipping”, that can stay bold)
