I’m working on two sites (artist) that both have a similar objective; one important image on each page, very little text. The idea is to get a good sized image (but not full screen) on a white background, across a variety of devices. There is a mix of portrait and landscape format images, and in some cases there will be a click-through to a Lightbox for additional views.
I’m still finding my way around Kadence and having some success, but sizing images using advanced gallery etc is proving challenging getting them to look good on both large monitors and smaller laptops (it’s fine for tablets and phones). I don’t want the images cropped by the window.
I have to confess I hadn’t heard of Gutenberg in this context a week ago. I’m wondering if vh/vw or vmin is a good approach, and is it compatible with Gutenberg and Kadence? Perhaps there is a better way I have missed?
Thank you!
