In reply to: My blog pages are not visible
Hi Hannah,
I am not sure what happened, but many of the links of my website are now broken with error “Not Found” “The requested URL is not on this server” Its seems my URL structure has changed. Here is an example: “https://performanceplustennis.com/contact-us” to: “https://performanceplustennis.com/?page_id=45”. What happened? How can I get my original link structure back? Thanks for your prompt assistance! In forum: Ascend ThemeI found the problem with My Portfolio Projects, I had to disable the default Settings for displaying Portfolio Projects. Now my Projects are displaying on the Portfolio Gird and loading. I’m hosting on wp.com don’t know if that caused the problem.
After that the Portfolio Options, section is displaying. I was able to hide the page title. My blog section title was displaying, I removed that by going to the dashboard, then editing that page title options.
Can’t style my Portfolio Page, to look like this: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-7/portfolio-post-style/
Can I display a Page title, with a subtitle underneath? With a title and category under the image, like the example above?
I also want to link by similar at the bottom of project like this example: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-7/portfolio/seth-young/
Thank You,

I created a subdomain on my client’s live site so I could experiment with building them a new site without disturbing their existing site or worrying about conflicts with their many plugins. I wanted a clean install. I used the Kadence Importer plugin to set up the Site Style Four demo in the subdomian, and then customized it, uploading just the bare minimum of media needed to give a sense of the look and feel. I customized pages, portfolios, galleries, sliders, post styling, etc. I didn’t build out the whole site, I just created examples of each kind of page or element, to get sign-off from the client. I made a child theme from my work and activated it in the client’s live site.
The client never took advantage of the Virtue Premium features – the site is just a flat page with a few links. They have years of blog posts (not currently showing on the site), an extensive media library, and lots of plugins.
Aside from building everything over again from scratch in the main domain, can you suggest any time-saving steps I could take to port the new pages and settings over from the subdomain to the main domain? I need to preserve all the media, and utilize the blog posts in the new style.
Thanks for any thoughts on how to approach this.
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn forum: Membership ForumsCould you give me the steps for creating a specific sidebar? I don’t seem to have any notes on when I did it that last time. Thanks.

September 7, 2019 at 1:50 pm #235399Hey,
This shows because google can’t/isn’t accessing your style sheets. You have 27 resources not loading.
This usually means your site is running slow or is too large for the google mobile tester. which if you look here that would make sense: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bestpoolfencehouston.com%2F
I suggest optimizing your site: https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/

OK, I will break it down…
For the home image menu items, navigate to Theme Options > Home Layout > Home Image Menu. Open the image menu item tabs and there you can edit/remove the image, add captions, descriptions, etc.
On sale products will pull from products that you have set to be on sale by giving them a sale price.
Featured products are the ones that you have “starred”. See here: https://kb.kadencethemes.com/knowledge-base/how-to-set-a-product-as-featured/
Then your page content, this pulls from your home edit page. Right now you are using the page builder by siteorigin editor because that is what the demo uses. If you want to use a different editor you can choose to do so from the edit page. Just know that you cant’t switch back and forth between editors. But from this page, you can add whatever content you would like. Let me know if something is still not making sense.Hannah

September 7, 2019 at 12:31 pm #235390Hey!
Let’s see if I can help. In your theme options > home layout, you have the “home layout manager”. There are two columns one column has modules that are enabled, the other modules that are disabled. You can drag these modules from column to column based on how you want the home page to be laid out.
There is a module there called “page content” and it relates to the content you add to the page you’ve assigned as the home page. When you go to pages in your admin menu, then click to edit the “home” page you can edit that content.
To make these easier I have moved all the modules except “page content” to disabled. And I have turned off your home slider. That way the only parts that will show on your home page is the content you add in your page content area.
Currently, your home page content is set up with a page builder called “Page Builder by SiteOrigin”.
But it sounds like you may want to use the block editor? It’s hard for me to know exactly what you want but it seems that way. I edited the home page and removed the content from page builder and clicked the “revert to editor” button and clicked update for the page.
That switched the interface to the block editor. There I added some content just so you would have something to see created.
Please let me know if that helps explain and if there is anything I can set up for you that would help you to get editing the way you want.

In forum: Ascend Theme1.
I can’t follow the instruction above. I don’t have the portfolio post options, listed in Step One, part a.
2.
I go thru my WP admin to create the page, I select a project type, and it doesn’t show on my portfolio page. I followed these instructions: *Login to see link
3.
How do I remove the page title from showing up on the project page?
Thank You for Your time,

Sorry Hannah, but no. It doesn’t make sense. I have been to the Home layout page many times. There is no place on that page where I can put actual content. That page simply addresses the layout. The only thing I could tweek was the headings on the Image menu and changing the picture eventually. Other than that, I can’t figure out how to edit what’s on that page.

I’m sorry for the confusion. As I said previously, your homepage is being configured from the homepage layout manager in Theme Options > Home Layout. First the image menu, then on sale products, then featured products, and lastly page content (which is where you’re seeing the page builder by siteorigin editor). Your home slider is being configured from Theme Options > Home Slider.
Does this all make sense?Hannah

September 6, 2019 at 3:44 am #235270I have just installed the Virtue theme, upgraded to Pro, but cannot find where to paste the purchased API key – depsite checking forums 😉

In forum: Membership ForumsHey, I got a pretty big problem with the post grid. It used to work but at some point stopped. I don’t know if it was after an update but there weren’t any CSS changes on the website so I am assuming it. In the backend preview its working fine, frontend not so much. Tested in Safari and Chrome. You can see it in the screenshots as well as on this page: *Login to see link
I also included the Gutenberg Code I am using right now:

Hey,
This tutorial is for Ascend, but the settings are mostly the same: https://kb.kadencethemes.com/knowledge-base/creating-a-one-page-site/
Smooth scrolling can be enabled in Virtue from Theme Options > Misc Settings.
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah
