So I’ve figured it all out…and, in the process, realized I was waaayyy overthinking how to do the home page. It’s exactly how I/the client wants, so just want to thank you for all of your help and hand-holding through this!

I’m missing the arrow icon from the virtue premium previous-page button.

When I had a similar problem before, it was attributed to a caching app. But I don’t have caching app plugins currently, except maybe if Jetpack is doing anything (thought I shut those options off….) and I use CloudFlare which does some caching, but I’ve purged it.

My site is krisbunda.com.

Please advise on what you think I should do.

I have a gallery and I like the lightbox display of a large image. I’d like to add small amount of text and a link to an Etsy shop page below that. I’ve seen it done on another site (*Login to see link but I can’t figure out how to duplicate it in Ascend.

Hey,
In your page you can add a row wherever you like in elementor and then add the testimonial carousel widget. Would that work for you?

Hey,
In your theme options > shop settings you would have to enabled “Enable Product Image Aspect Ratio on Catalog pages” to allow the theme to create the flip image function.

I turned it on so you can see.

1. Very strange, since the only thing in the custom css is the logo styling you sent to me the other day. I wonder if this may be a carry over from cloning the existing site. Funny thing, it turns out in speaking with the client, he actually likes the way this displays and doesn’t want me to change it.

Hey Sara,
1. I’m seeing this in your css:

.kad-relative-vertical-content ul.sf-menu.sf-vertical {
    margin-right: -20px;
    margin-left: -20px;
}

Are you adding that? Removing would fix this.

2. You can add this to your custom css box in theme options:

.kad-relative-vertical-content .nav-main .sf-vertical ul {
    border: 0;
}

3. Which flip box do you mean? Can you link to where you’re adding it?

4. Are you using the block editor and kadence blocks? If so, you can use the kadence gallery block to create a gallery with masonry effect. Or if you want the mosaic effect you can create portfolio posts, setting your gallery images as the featured images for each post. Then you can use css to remove the link from the images on the portfolio grid page. Does that make sense?

It’s not possible to add to other pages, that would require a different system because of the way it’s called in.

There are not any variable options. But that’s a good idea. I’ll add that to my list.

Is there any way to adjust the speed of a flip-box? Client is asking if if can be slowed down.
My client loves the look of the Ascend Agency demo home page, where the images/links are a mosaic layout. My challenge is, they don’t have a gallery, they just want to have randomly mosaic-laid out images link to specific urls. Is this possible? I started out using the Module Image Menu under Theme Options > Home Page Layout, but it displays as a grid.

Have you tried activating a slider from Theme Options > Home Slider? Does the slider work on other pages besides your home page?

You are using the “Widget Visibility” plugin and you are setting the widgets to only show on pages. You’ve selected some “main pages” but posts and pages are totally different. A “Posts Page” is a page that shows posts. Not a single post. Since you are wanting this to show on single posts your settings are intentionally hiding it.

I’m not sure where you are wanting the widget to not show but you need to relook at the logic. Just remove all your visibility settings and you will see what I mean.

note: after i swapped the original widget (custom html) for the Menu widget the needed items disappeared, only on the home page the homepage.
You can see the top bar error on any other page.
