Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean. And I’m honestly not sure I’m following what you want… sorry.

Where exactly is “there”? If you’re using page builder by siteorigin to edit your page we do not advise switching back and forth to the visual editor as it will break your page. Instead, you can add a visual editor widget to your page builder layout.

Hi Ben,

Your suggestion of a block that queries the custom post type is great. TRhen you could display different staff-groups on different pages etc.

I’ve set up some examples to show what I mean about the shortcode not looking like the widget or the block.

On this page, we have the widget running in a page-builder block.

On this development page, we have the kadence testimonial block, followed by the shortcode.

I expected to see visual editor there. Rich text editor for article and line height tuner for line. But i see pure text html there. I think 6 months ago when i created that page there was visual editor.

I think I’m misunderstanding. Do you mean that you don’t see the visual editor widget within siteorigin’s list of widgets? Or that you’re unable to revert to the visual editor? If you’re using the siteorigin editor on a page you should not switch back to the visual editor. Can you explain in more detail what you’re wanting? Sorry for not following.

Hi Ben,
I have a similar problem as described in this post. Also, get the “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.” when I try to make changes in theme settings. Specifically I tried to change the Contact Form Email in Misc Settings. I followed up by trying to change other settings (added a space in Advanced settings just to see if I could make a change there). Also received this error.

Background: I am in the process of moving my website from one host to Google Cloud Platform using Bitnami WordPress stack. I am searching Bitnami documentation for a solution for this but can’t find it. Wondering if other customers had similar issues and if you found a way to resolving this.

Please let me know.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for this. I had originally built this in the Revolution Slider, where I could re-tool the layout for every size, desktop/tablet/mobile. But I eventually ran into the same problem: images overlapped text. So ideally the carousel resizes so the font isn’t so small at the mobile-size, but at this point I’m fine if the page doesn’t resize, and mobile users just have to zoom in. Is that okay? As far as functionality goes, what I need is five carousels that users can rotate/scroll through, each with the same layout (background image, header, sub header, body, small graphic, and CTA button). I’m just not sure how to build this if not in a slider. Would you recommend a different plugin that can do this? Sorry if that’s a basic question, but i’ve spent 10+ hours trying to get this to work and would LOVE something easy and workable!

As you can see, the header overlaps the copy, and the “Conservation Status” completely overlays the next line on mobile view. I’ve also had some trouble getting the status graphic (rainbow) to align properly on all devices.

Hi there,

Is there a way to have a menu item in the main navigation that is not clickable? For example, if I have “Products” in my main nav with the sub-menu indicator turned on, and then two or three pages in the drop-down, I would like just the drop-down items to be clickable and not the word “Products”. Mousing over “Products” would just activate the drop-down but that word would not be clickable/link to another page.

I’ve searched the forums and looked at the obvious settings and can’t figure this out.

I tried using Ascend: Call to Action, but it’s limiting.

Dear Kadence, it seems that after recent update my homepage does not load properly (www.Vij5.nl) the portfolio wrapper is not loaded in the correct configuration and the items below are not loaded at all. After a refresh it seems to work fine.

What can I do?

That’s a pity as it doesn’t look as good as either the Testimonial Carousel block promised to be, nor the existing widget within a page builder block. I think I shall have to leave it in page builder for the time being.

Are there any plans or date to get the Testimonial Carousel block working properly?
