In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: About Us Page Not Displaying
Someone wrote wondering why there’s nothing on our about us page. It was news to me. It used to be there. I went into edit, and everything was there. What might be preventing it from displaying at the link above? Looking forward to any response, I’m sure I’ve done something dim-witted.
In forum: Ascend ThemeJune 26, 2019 at 12:14 pm #229251the javascript you posted would only check on initial page load, you need to have a listener that will recheck whenever the URL is changed.
for example:
window.addEventListener( 'hashchange', customFunction, false );I need a login if I’m supposed to write this javascript for you. It’s pretty far outside theme support.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Page title h1 left and right padding
In forum: Ascend ThemeHello,
please see this link (follow a private reply with login data)
i have edited the page title with this custom css to give it a background and padding:
.page_head_title.top-contain-title.entry-title {
background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.8);
padding: 10px;
}The problem is that now i have too background on left and right side, how i can have the background until the end of title only with padding left and right applied? See this screenshot for example: *Login to see link
Thanks and best regards

June 26, 2019 at 9:24 am #229216Is there a particular page I should try. I just clicked through the edit screens of a few all without issue.
While in chrome browser right click and click “inspect” then check for errors in the “console” tab. Let me know if you see anything there while trying to edit.
Also can you send me a screen shot? That may help me understand and think of other possible issues.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi
I’ve been using a workaround for over a year, and I was wondering if there was a way that I can set things up on my website http://www.hibiscusmassage.com, without having to go through this.
I was advised to update my plugins, then go to Settings > Permalinks and “Save Changes”, then purge all caches so that all the pages display properly. If I do not do this, filler pages appear in place of my actual website pages.
The plugin page has the following alerts flagged in red:
FTP credentials don’t allow to write to file /homepages/12/d250206909/htdocs/app251497432/.htaccess
W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically created to complete the installation.
Please execute commands manually
or use FTP form to allow W3 Total Cache make it automatically.The required directives for fancy permalinks could not be detected, please confirm they are available: Creating and editing
Any ideas how to fix this please?
Thanks in advance, Tanya

Hi, at present both French and English versions of the main text and all photos have disappeared on most of the pages, for example, Homepage, About / La praticienne, every type of massage, all the comments in the accordion, all the FAQs… the only pages that seem intact are Prices and Contact.
I’ll get on with re-activating the plugins I deactivated to see if that helps at all.

June 26, 2019 at 8:06 am #229199Hi, this is an advanced problem i have… . i tried a few hours to solve it without ask you but …no way…. so the situation is:
in this page *Login to see link we have the sidebar on the left and the main content all generated from a third party javescript code….
at the bottom of that page we have this buttonwhen you click on an item of the list, the third party javascript loads the item detail…. adding some anchor/data to the url
the big issue we have is that we want to hide the button div #job-button when an item of the list is loades (so the url contains a /#/d/)… we tried to add some javascript code into the footer ..like this post says *Login to see link but no way…
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function () {
if (window.location.href.indexOf("/d/") != -1) {
$("#job-button").hide();
}
}
</script>can you please give an advise about how to do it?
Thank you very much!
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
http://www.ezycaresucculents.com.au
I have set my sold out and on sale tags to protrude off the product tiles by -5 pixels. As you can see in the shop this is no problem but on the landing page they seem to be sheered off.
Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks,
Ash
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi
I’ve managed to somehow mess up my site. When I try to Visit Site, I get the message “Ce site rencontre des difficultés techniques.” I’ve never seen this before.
I always go through a convoluted process to update plugins for hibiscusmassage.com, following your advice from May last year when pages started being replaced by filler pages after updates had been completed:
the first thing that I would try is going to Settings> Permalinks, and resave them. Clear your cache after doing so and let me know if it makes a difference.
I do this workaround every time that I update plugins, so a few times a week. I did this today, having updated the Polylang and Yoast SEO plugins, and now my site will not load.
On the Settings > Permalinks page there are a number of warnings and alerts that, quite frankly, I have left there unattended as I don’t know what they refer to and I didn’t want to break anything. Perhaps my issue has something to do with this?
Please help – I’m stuck without my website! Thank you, Tanya
In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 25, 2019 at 6:25 pm #229182Hi Hannah,
Thanks for quick response.
Yeah. When I changed the format from General, the date format also changed in Kadence Block Post Grid or Carousel areas which I’m using at my Home page.
But the above screenshot areas did not get affected which are in each single blog post and their Similar Post carousel below(not custom plugin, just the one we can turn it on in Blog option of Virtue theme).Just as a reference, I will put the css of both areas below.
css of Similar Post carousel
<span class="postday published kad-hidedate">29 5月 2019</span>css of date square box at post title
<div class="postdate bg-lightgray headerfont"> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-06-19T14:24:52+09:00"> <span class="postday">29</span> 5月 2019 </div>The date format may be automatically translated when I chose my site language to Japanese.
In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 25, 2019 at 3:35 pm #229162Hey,
In your settings > reading you can not set a page as the “posts page” and also hope to add content to the top of that page. A posts page is an index and not a real page and doesn’t have output for content like a real page. That is why we have the blog template, you can create a page like the posts page but add content at the top. So simply make sure you are not setting a page as the post page in your settings reading. Just leave it on blank.The home page “latest posts” modal shows latest posts not a custom selection of posts. If you want that you can use the shortcode
[blog_posts items="4" cat="yourcategoryslug"]Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Header shortcode page refresh images showing.
Thanks Ben,
That hides the initial loading on the left-hand side.
It has made a different behaviour visible.
On each page refresh, the first image loads in the slider, then there is a pause while the remaining images load. Can this be fixed through the theme/CSS or is it a function of the plugin?Thanks,
Phil.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Recent Posts Carousel images have lazy load tag
June 25, 2019 at 3:22 pm #229158It’s from rocket, they changed the way they suggest supporting the lazy load from themes so even though the page is off it’s still on which it triggering it in the themes. I’ll get an update out this week for Virtue that fixes that.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Block Quote Styling – Desktop and Mobile
The page in question is – https://digitalflightwire.com/active-sky-official-updates/
However, the above noted CSS is in place and the issue is not visible anymore. If removed the font beside the bullet points is larger once again.
Cheers,
Mark
