    Hi!
    I have a problem with creating template… :

I Add single Product Template, but on the Add New Product Template page, i haven’t options of the page (see image 1)

I can’t choose type of header, size of container, if i want display title and breadcrumb, etc…

So, the page isn’t good (see image 2) : no full screen, header in absolute, title and breadcrumb visible, etc…

I use WordPress 5.2, Jupiter X v1.5.0, Elementor Pro 5.2.2 and Kadence Woocommerce Elementor Pro 1.1.2.

    Thanks a lot !

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for getting back to me. I just tried that and unfortunately it made matters worse as the child-types appeared alongside the main category type, except the main category type was the wrong size (the child types which I didn’t want were the right size). Maybe put the code in the wrong place? I tried with different page templates… (I’ve removed both variations of the code now so I’m back to square one)

Regarding the second point, no I was referring to the fact that when you are on the all-projects category grid, if you choose an option (category) you are directed to the categpry type base rather than the custom portfolio grid page I have. In other words, it directs to the first of these links, not the second:

    https://gardeningnomad.com/portfolio-type/butterflies-and-moths/

    https://gardeningnomad.com/butterflies-and-moths/

I would like users to be directed to the second of the two links, as that is the one with the filter to the subcategories (and the URL I want). So my question was, Is redirecting from the first URL to the second one the only option I have?

    Thanks again for your help.

    Andrew.

    Hey Andrew,
    Try using a shortcode like this: [portfolio_types orderby=date showexcerpt=false columns=4 items=4 height=200 childof=0 childcategories=false] Hope it helps!

In Theme Options > Portfolio Options you can set the “All Projects Default Portfolio Page”. Is that what you’re referencing?

    Hello,

My client now want to use the free Virtue theme, although I have a subscription. They want to archive the site later without having to update licence.

We are creating 3 types of posts: Blog, Events, and Trainings. I built the menu using categories, but ideally I would have a short introduction text on each page, then the posts of that category.

In the landing page I use a plug in (display post listing) to show excerpts of the latests posts.

but if I want to have links from the titles and the illustrations (not ready yet) to the category page as in the Menu, how can I link?

I am thinking maybe I should use another plug in for creating 3 different types of posts:

I’d love to have the style of the blog page for all the categories, as well. Somehow for the category of Events/Tapahtumat the style turned out to be nice like in the Blog page, but I don’t know how. I can’t see any difference to the page Trainings Both are showing categories only. I don’t dare touch the page that looks good for now. For the introduction text, maybe simply make one post a sticky?

Also, on the landing page the Blog excerpts should only be of the category “blog”.

Do you think I should try a custom post type plug in and not the category system?

I’m sorry the site in in Finnish, and may be unpleasant for you to have a look at,

    thank you,
    Ulla

Hello again. If you see at my page at computer – all is ok. But on mobile devices some blocks disappear.

    Hello there,

I have set up a Portfolio Category Grid page and it displays ALL categories, including sub-categories (child-types). I only want to display the higher level categories/ parent types on this page.

I have searched the forum archives and see that you can do this by posting the following code into a full-width default page template

    [portfolio_types columns=”4″ items=”10″]

…but it doesn’t look the same – the photos are not the same size when I try this, even in the full-width page template. I want it to look exactly like the other portfolio grids. Here’s a link, so you can see what I mean (I only have one higher level category so far):

Finally, when I click on the grid menu item on this page, I am directed to the portfolio type pages, but I want it to direct to custom portfolio grid pages (which have the filter for the subcategories/ sub types). Am I right in assuming the only/ best way to do this is by redirecting the url of the type pages?

    Thank you.

    Andrew.

    Hi there,

How can I control the number of words or the length of my blog post titles displayed on the blog sidebar and homepage layout?

Articles that have long post titles jump to the third line and it breaks the consistency of my design and creates ugly gaps. I want the length of titles to be restricted either in two lines or by a certain number of words on the blog sidebar and on the ‘recent posts’ segment on my homepage.

I also want the date of the recent posts on the blog sidebar to have a fixed position under the image thumbnails.

    Here are some screenshots
Case 1 – Homepage Recent Post Segments:
Case 2 – Recent Posts on the Blog Sidebar:

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

We don’t have one added to another demo.

The link you posted to is something a little different. Although a similar transition feel from page to page your link is using a custom fade with some animation that happens to bring down the header and slide over the social media.

There are some ways to do something similar with the plugin we have and some custom css.

    Hi Hannah,

Yes Dolan has a side bar for the vendor shop page, but this does not interfere with the product page side bar or woo commerce shop page side bar.

Setting the side bar from the virtue theme options, shop and product tabs.

    Hey,
On your archive pages it looks like your dokan plugin is outputting a sidebar. Are you wanting a second sidebar?
For your individual product pages it doesn’t look like you have a sidebar assigned. Where are you setting this?

Hi there, I have my Virtue Premium theme runnning with the product page and shop page using two different sidebars.

For some reason both side bar and their widget content are not displaying.

Could you please check whether this is a theme conflict?

Website and login to come next message.

    Thanks,

    Glenn

You have a notice at the top of your webpage that says:

    Website Feed coded manually https://sedonapies.com/feed

So are you really manually coding the rss feed? If so that is where you need to fix it, are you using a plugin for that?

    oversized if setted as fixed;

Mobile browsers interpret “fixed” as needing to cover the entire site height size not the screen height size so it’s not a good option if you have a tall page because of the way mobile browsers treat this. So this is not really a bug as much as how mobile browsers are designed to treat this. You can set a specific image for mobile and set the position to scroll.

Can you link to where you are seeing the parallax issue? Are you using the latest version of Kadence Blocks?

    #228657

You can make the row a “reusable block” then go to manage that block and export it as a json, that would let you import it to another site.

Although it’s worth noting that if you just want to copy between sites you can actually select the row and using keyboard shortcodes copy, then paste that into another site.

In terms of adding to the prebuilt, you can do that using a custom plugin that adds some javascript into the editor page and alls in the extra blocks.

I’m currently experimenting with an admin interface for managing the prebuilt content as well.

    Good Afternoon,

I’m experiencing an issue with a new website that’s under development.
When I go to create a prebuilt row layout using Kadence blocks I get an error every time and on all pages. Individual blocks seem to be ok but I haven’t tested them all.

    Can you help?

    Thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi Andrea,
We actually have a page transitions plugin. See here: https://www.kadencewp.com/product/kadence-page-transitions/
You can see a live demo here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-7/
    Is this what you’re envisioning?

    Hey Michael,
Yes, you can do this from your edit page under Page Tile and Subtitle. You’ll see an “Override and use a Shortcode Slider” tab. You can paste your slider shortcode there.
    Hope that helps!

Thank you Ben. Hey another quick question. Is it possible to export row layouts with Kadence Blocks? I’ve built some pretty cool pages and I wonder if I could export them and reuse them or even get them added to the pre-built rows you have in the row blocks settings. Thanks again!
