Hi Kadence Team,
if i use the gallery post option and insert a gallery under Post Head Content, this won’t show in the translation of the page. The option in WPML to copy media and post image to the translation are checked but only post image makes it over. Tried also the WPML editor, but WPML doesn’t “see” the Gallery at all.
Do i need to check some extra settings for this?
Thank you

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Ascend ThemeMay 10, 2019 at 12:46 am #225275Thanks Hannah,
but I’m afraid this is not what I’m looking for. For several reasons.
Most important: it still doesn’t give me the kind slider I was asking for.
The Ascend:Galery widget allows you to select slider and to define a height and widht, but it crops the images. This is not the same as the “Image Slider (Different Image Ratio)”, which scales the image to fit completely into the slider. The same is true for both Elementor and Site Origin PageBuilder.
So allow me to ask again: Is there a way to add thumbnails to the “Image Slider (Different Image Ratio)” portfolio type?
I’m find with modifying the theme source code if you think that’s possible. I just need you to point me in the right direction (which are the relevant files / portions of code).
Hi,
if you have multiple payment and shipping methods than these are rendered as
li > input | label
markup.Looks ok for the payment methods, but for the shipping methods the input and its label do not have space between them. There seems to be some “wrong” text-indent: -17px and missing display: block on the shipping’s input/label CSS.
I know how I could fix this myself by overwriting the CSS in our child theme, but I think it is a visual “bug” that might be better fixed at the root, that is in the Virtue Premium plugin itself.

In forum: Virtue ThemeMay 9, 2019 at 5:39 pm #225259ok, in your settings > page builder go to the layout tab and tell me what you see under “Use Legacy Layout Engine”
If that is set to never change it to detect or always.
If it’s set to detect try setting to always.
If that doens’t work use the virtue: image widget instead of the siteorigin image widget and then test.

In forum: Ascend ThemeSo I deleted the WP Inventory plugin and deleted the 2 pages I had created to embed the shortcode (inventory and inventory2). When I try to view inventory2 now I get the “Page not found” error message I’d expect to receive. But when I try to view inventory it now takes me to my home page instead of my blog page! I wondered if perhaps there was something proprietary about using the name “inventory” as a page name, but the plugin is gone now so I can’t blame that. Does it sound like perhaps something got corrupted?

May 9, 2019 at 3:24 pm #225247Hey,
So I can explain, It’s not a bug although I don’t like how WordPress designed this. The “default” page template is not a specific template. There is logic that runs to determine which template to use. Most of the time the template is page.php but if the title of the page matches the title of a template then that template is used instead. This means that the contact template is used instead of page when your title is contact. This confuses the logic for a sidebar and it’s falling back because it’s not set as a page template but it’s not pulling the same meta that is used in the default page settings.
The correct solution is to assign a template.

I went ahead and tried setting the Page attributes/template to “full width” and it solved the problem. The thing I’m worried about is why all the other identical pages work (with the default page settings) and not this one, and also like I mentioned, if I rename my problem page to something else, it’s fine. I’m paranoid now that leaving it unsolved will come back and bite me in the a$$! 😉

Currently all the pages are set to Page attributes/ Default template and in the Page options at the bottom, display sidebar is off, and page content is set to default. All the pages are working like this apart from my problem one.
So do you mean the “Page attributes/template should be set to “Full width”?

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I made a new page on my site named “xxx” with the plan to replace an existing page which was called “about”. I then deleted the original “about page” and renamed my temporary “xxx” page to “about”. (I suspect this is very bad practice?!)
Anyways, everything worked as hoped, but now I have my product category filter, recently viewed products, and search bar appearing on the bottom of this new page when they shouldn’t be anywhere on this page. These widgets are used in my shop/products area but they don’t show up on any of my other non shop related pages (as expected). By default, I’ve left off the options to hide these widgets off my other pages as I never had a problem with them appearing so this is confusing. Also, I’m confused as to why these widgets are appearing at the bottom of the page when they are all set to sidebar placement.
If I rename my new page to something other than “about”, the problem goes away. So it seems there is a conflict and I’ve managed to break something. I could just rename the “about” page but I’d like to know if there is a possible answer to my baffoonery?
Apologies in advance for this as I can almost guarantee it’s completely my fault..!
In forum: Ascend ThemeHello,
In Settings> Reading, is that page set as your posts page? If so, leave that selection blank and let me know if it makes a difference.
Another thing is to be sure that you’re not assigning it the blog template:

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Secondary menu full width
May 9, 2019 at 11:01 am #225193Me again, sorry :s
Is it possible to increase the secondary menu width so it expands wider on the page? Not quite full width but enough so more items can be added to menu on a single line.Thank you
In forum: Ascend ThemeI have to think I’ve done something wrong, but I’ll be darned if I can figure out what. I created a page called Inventory, generated a Visual Editor widget, and in it placed the [wpinventory] shortcode for that plugin. When I try to display that page, however, it displays my BLOG page. I’ve tried this from multiple browsers and even flushed the cache on them. The troublesome page is HERE. Any thoughts?
Just discovered that if I copy or rename this page to something else (inventory2 for example) it displays fine. That page is HERE. ???
