In reply to: WC Catalog Enquiry plugin and Kadance
February 25, 2019 at 12:56 pm #217740I looked it doesn’t filter on the add to cart, it hooks into the product page on a main hook. One that isn’t used in the woo templates because that would defeat the purpose since that hooks in all the parts and wouldn’t allow you to control it. You would just need to talk with WC Catalog Enquiry and ask them for a shortcode to output there form and button. Then you can add that to your woo template.

OK thanks for the clarification.
In terms of this comment:
“In terms of the styling, while in elementor, this is because of your theme Astra, it doesn’t load checkout styles in the editor, but I can try to add in a call that forces astra to cooperate. But the styles do load on the checkout page.”
So will you give me some extra code to add? Or will you will updating the plugin?

February 25, 2019 at 11:59 am #217731Hey,
This should not be assumed:
without using so many widgets that the page loading speed gets bogged down?
Mostly because it’s not true, most widgets would load very quickly and have next to no impact on speed.
Best to talk about real examples with real widgets being talked about.
How you would style a widget depends on the widget options. For example, you can’t add an image to a WordPress navigation widget. So if you want navigation with an image you can’t use that widget. You need to create a custom list either through a visual editor widget or some other widget if you want an image.
1. Yes, you can place things in your sidebars on the widgets page.
2. Yes in each page you want to show a sidebar you should select that you want to show a sidebar and choose widget sidebar you want to show.
Does that help?
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Full Width image above footer
Try just adding the shortcode without the span tag to a text or html widget, and then add this CSS to Theme Options> custom CSS:
@media (min-width: 992px) { .above_footer_outer .above-footer-widgets { width: 100vw; position: relative; left: 50%; right: 50%; margin-left: -50vw; margin-right: -50vw; padding: 0; max-width: none !important; } }Also be sure you’re not trying to load the same slider twice on one page, otherwise it wont work.

February 25, 2019 at 11:16 am #217723Hey,
I see, you are adding a template through Elementor Pro, Not through our plugin. Elementor Pro does have some of the same features (even though ours came out first) and so that is creating the confusion. Then I see that you directly tried to edit the checkout page, which won’t work because the checkout page has to have the checkout shortcode, you have to load your changes through a template.
Under products, you go to > woo templates. And there you can add templates through our plugin.
In terms of the styling, while in elementor, this is because of your theme Astra, it doesn’t load checkout styles in the editor, but I can try to add in a call that forces astra to cooperate. But the styles do load on the checkout page.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Blog Template not visible
After moving a site to a new location I have noticed that the visibility of the blog grid is somehow switched off. This affects the home page (where I have latest blog posts enabled) and also a series of index pages for different categories that employ the blog grid template.
The indexed posts are there (moving the mouse around and doing a right-click will show there are images there) but they’re completely invisible.
If I opt for a different setting, such as the standard non-grid listing, that works fine. The site just refuses to show grid listings. I’ve also ruled out plugin and theme conflicts.
Is there any file or setting that I’ve maybe not copied across which affects the blog template?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Split Content in mobile
Hello,
With the widget, I don’t believe there is any way to do this. The best option would be to build your own split content in page builder, with the row split 50/50, and add the content as necessary.
Then you can control the mobile collapse of the split content.
Does that work for you?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Sidebars
Hello,
I wonder if you could point me to some literature on how to make Sidebars useful and aesthetically pleasing, without using so many widgets that the page loading speed gets bogged down?
For my purposes, I don’t anticipate a lot of new content in the Sidebars (like blog posts). Rather, it would be a static group of images, short texts describing a tour, and links to the tour page for more information. So my purpose would be to have an extra navigational element for a user to be able to quickly click between different tours.
On this page: http://www.johngrahamtours.com/tours
I’m just getting text in tight rows. How do I modify the look and spacing of this text? Perhaps add images?
1. Appearance>Widgets appears to be the place that I add things to Sidebars, such as “Tours Sidebar”.
2. On individual pages, I need to specify the appropriate Sidebar, such as “Tours Sidebar”, correct?
Thanks for guidance, John
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Split Content in mobile
Hi,
I have split content on frontpage (text left and image right) and I would like them to stick together in the same row also in mobile view.
Now text collapses under the picture in mobile. Split content height is 150px.I would like also have smaller padding between text and image in all views.
Yours,
MillaHi, i noticed this when contents of a page where im using short codes in virtue disappeared and when we tried to log in i get this error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: [] operator not supported for strings in…
…then this line is highlighted:
#9 in /home*/**REMOVED BY ME***/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/kt-plugins-activate.php on line 32
trying to consolidate my plugins and use Kadence ones where i can.
I’m updating all the hero images using the Image Overlay block BUT keep getting this error whenever i go back to edit the page.
Got a screenshot of the conflict.
Having the ability to add screen shot here on the forums would be useful ?In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Full Width image above footer
February 25, 2019 at 12:07 am #217649Hey brad19831 can you create a new topic and post a link to your website so we can see what widget you are adding to the above the footer widget area.
Just so you know the ascend demo you linked to is only adding that on the home page and it’s added through the page content. It’s not added through the above footer area because then it would show on every page and post.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Ascend testimonial widget link to specific page
February 25, 2019 at 12:04 am #217648In ascend, every testimonial is built through the content-loop-testimonial.php template. So the widget matches that of the archives or a custom grid page. You can edit the template and change how the read more works when outputting the full content but it would affect all the places where you have a testimonial grid.
What I suggest is adding the carousel whether through widget or shortcode without showing “read more” text, then right below the carousel adding a link to your testimonial archive that says something like read more testimonials. For user experience, it creates a link that matches with expectations whereas a read more after a single testimonial post implies that you will read more of that testimonial.

February 24, 2019 at 11:23 pm #217637Hey,
So if you use Kadance Woo Templates you should simply be able to not add the add to cart widget which would remove it from your product pages. In fact, the only way the add to cart would show is if you have added that widget but if you don’t want to have any add to cart it should be best just to not add the add to cart widget.Does that make sense?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Landing Page – home page not working
Hey Sam,
You can’t use a page template on the homepage as the home page template will override it. You can use this css to remove the header and footer from the homepage:.home .headerclass, .home #containerfooter { display: none; }Just paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings. Hope it helps!
