    Hi,
    I’m working on a PC but my client have a Mac and says that the columns do not align properly in the bottom with Safari. This is a screenshotfrom the Mac.

    It’s the parallax with five columns on this page.

    Is there a way to adjust this?

    Hi,
    So I have a site with a transparent header and a slider behind it and I really like how it looks, except that I can’t pick a menu color so that you can see the menu in all the slides. I was wondering if you can make the header semi-transparent, like it is in the shrinking menu when you scroll down. We would place the slider behind the header but the header would have a slight color so the menus can be read.
    I hope I explained myself. I thought I could put it directly on to the images but perhaps there is a more elegant solution.

    Another question:
    I would like to place a full width image in the body of the home page or in the footer. Everything I tried seems to have some empty space on the sides. (edit) I found you can place a slider above the footer call to action and make it full width, any other options?

    Thanks.

    I think it would be better to return to the topnav background that I had before, which was not a color, but an image. This image: http://www.johngrahamtours.com/tours/

    I like how the initial homepage landing has the full image to the top of the page, and only when one begins scrolling, the topnav has a different background. Let’s keep that effect.

    I’m using Tabs within the Block editor, prototyping a WordPress based version for a site (at systalk.org/foodworx). The same material is presented two different ways – in 4 columns, and on 4 tabs. All 4 tabs are set to Wide width, Left justify. That’s how the material appears on my PC. When I look at the same page with my tablet, the first paragraph on two of the tabs (Bakery, Awake) is centered rather than left justified. The first paragraph on the other two tabs (Basic, Family) is left justified. The centering occurs on my tablet in both landscape (picture and text then show up side by side) and portrait (picture above text) orientations. The first thing on each tab is a Title. They’re set Left Justified. That’s how they show up on a PC, They ALL show up centered on my tablet.

    I haven’t gone back and re-tested, but I believe when I tried using Full width on these tabs, the text and/or picture would flow outside the boundaries of the tab. Seemed to be worse when I put a picture on the right-hand side.

    Hi:

    I need some creative help. How can I add a full-width image above the Secondary Menu (in between the Header and Secondary Menu) on the Home page?

    Thank you for any suggestions you can give me.

    A couple issues

    1. the topnav text does not shrink appropriately, and will bounce the word “Contact” onto a second line. This is exacerbated if I command-shift-plus the page so that the text gets larger. Then two or more of the topnav text items form a second line.
    2. the main image seems to be repeating itself vertically, perhaps only noticeable on large screens.

    Ben,

    Thank you for restoring the home page, what a relief. Tomorrow I will try to make it better.

    Hello,

    Try this CSS to hide the page header:

    div#kad-banner-sticky-wrapper {
        display: none;
    }

    .contentclass {
        padding-top: 0;
    }

    And for adding a border to that page builder widget, I suggest navigating to the “attributes” area in the widget styles, and adding the CSS under “CSS Styles” like this:

    border: 5px solid red;

    Feel free to adjust the CSS as needed. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Hi
    I tried this to hide the header, but it’s not working.
    .page-header {
    display: none;
    }

    I also would like the background on the site editor box (gray box) to be maybe 50% opaque. I just can never identity the box for the css.

    Can you help? Thank you.

    Hey John, So your home page was broken, it could have happened through a number of differing things. But most likely and most common is that you either un-installed page builder temporarily then accessed the home page through the editor or you click out of the page builder tab while editing the home page.

    I bring that up only so you are aware and can be sure to avoid making either of those mistakes in the further, even if that is not the cause of your current issue.

    If I remember correctly we had a similar issue here where I also had to remake a page because it was broken: https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/topic/create-page-within-page-with-new-set-of-headers/page/2/

    Ok so I’ve Updated/fixed your home page.

    What I now don’t understand is what you were wanting changed to start with. The link at the top doesn’t seem to work.

    But I took a guess and I added this css to your theme options > advanced settings:

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .home #kad-banner, .home #kad-banner-sticky-wrapper {
        background: transparent;
        width: 100%;
        z-index: 1000;
        position: absolute;
    }
    .home #kad-banner-sticky-wrapper.is-sticky #kad-banner {
        background: #227c8a;
        width: 100%;
        z-index: 1000;
    }
    }

    Hopefully, that is what you want.

    You still need to update the theme. You’re on version 4.88, current version is 4.92.

    As for the CSS, what particular piece did you add recently that you think is making things function improperly? I don’t see anything that would effect editing in page builder. If you’re concerned about it, then try removing it and seeing if it makes a difference.

    It also appears that you’re not using page builder to build the content on your home page, rather just the default editor. Was it previously configured in page builder?

    Looks like you’re actually setting that page up with the default wordpress block editor. You just need to recreate it with page builder and you should be set.

    Yes, I added the pagebuilder plug in….

    Hi Hannah,

    I just updated the plugins. I had updated the Kadence theme and all the plugins in early January, most recently.

    Could you help me fix/restore my home page? While following advice on this Support thread, I added some code that you recommended, and I fear that might be the culprit for widespread issues on the homepage. Images were stripped, the Site Origen Page Builder on the back end doesn’t have any content, and the parallax image is not scrolling, as before.

    Hello,

    When you look at your list of plugins, is page builder showing up?

    As for the page title, on the home page it it set in Theme Options> home Layout, page title module.

    Hi, I’m setting up a new website, using virtue like I always do. Also always use page builder, but it’s not “activating”.
    I also checked “hide” page title yet it’s still showing up.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

    How much text are you adding? I don’t think adding text to your category pages will make much of a difference in terms of SEO. The category page is not one that many people will find your site from.

    I suggest just adding whatever text you feel is necessary. Otherwise you can create new category pages by adding WooCommerce shortcode to the page content to pull the product category, then add text below the shortcode.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for your reply.
    I’d prefer not to add a page builder if I can help it, seems overkill to add it just for the footer image. Is there no other way to achieve this? Like forcing full width on the footer widget area?

    Many Thanks Kevin,
    Anthony

    hi! i need to write some longer text in my product categories to benefit google search rank. BUT when writing long texts the prodcut listing goes far down and its not good for people to enter a category and have to scroll to start seeing products. i was wondering if i can make this text be on the foot of the page after products instead of being at the top/ or leave a small text at the begining and write a longer one after the products. how could i do that?
