In reply to: Elementor Slider doesn’t work properly
Hi, Kevin.
I don’t use classic editor at all, only Elementor for all my page.
The problem is since the last update of Elementor and Pinnacle Theme (I updated both at the same time). I have this page:
https://upndown.es/actividades/barranquismo/barranco-arbillas/
But when I edit with Elementor Visual Editor (or Live Editor, I don’t know how to call it), slider don’t appear like before, just a grey rectangle:
Also, I’m experiencing another problem. I can do changes on my page and it seems to work at the preview, but when I save the changes not all of them works. For example, margins doesn’t works anymore (I can set a 500px margin to a section and it won’t change at all). I can edit a text, and it works. I cannot put or edit a slider.
To complicate things more, not all the pages responds in the same way. I’m trying with antoher page, and it has a different result. At the Elementor Live Editor, I have the same problem with the slider (only appear a grey rectangle), and I put a pink divider, but it doesn’t appear. Finally, I set a margin, that it shows:
At preview page, all works:
But when I save changes, margins and the divider disappear:
Any help?

Hey,
Those are called breadcrumbs. They can be enabled from Theme Options > Breadcrumbs. It looks like the css you are currently using to hide your header would also hide your breadcrumbs. Instead of using this:.page-header { display: none; }Try this:
h1.page-title { display: none; }Hope that helps!

In forum: Membership ForumsHI,
this website (and many others I have seen) use some tool to ask visitors for content about ads, tracking etc…
With GDPR you are not really allowed to let google show ads based on user behaviour (websites visited etc)- so getting consent for this would be greatany idea how they do this?
And would such a tool from kadence be a good idea – even more GDPR prone than this one above ? NO data is transferred to 3rd party until visitor clicks on consent (as most if not all will do, who has time to read all the smallprint on all the pages)?
Thx
Dan

1. You have a blank slider being added to your home page content. Try going into your home page edit screen and deleting the slider that’s in the content.
2. Are you adding the video by pasting the entire URL to the slider? Take a look at this guide to adding a video and make sure it’s correct on your site:
http://docs.kadencethemes.com/kadence-slider/kadence-slider-tutorial/adding-slides/#video3. You should be able to set the slider width and height when you first create it. See here:

1. That page is your portfolio page. The settings for your portfolio page are found in Theme Options> Portfolio Options. This allows you to set the way the content will display on your portfolio. Whichever page you’re setting as “All Projects Default Portfolio Page” will take on these settings.
To create and edit portfolio posts, go to your admin, and in the sidebar, you should see the “portfolio” section that contains your posts.
2. For your menus, I suggest creating a new one in Appearance> Menus. This is the demo site’s menu and is not intended to be used on actual sites. Here’s a guide on how menus work in the theme/wordpress:
https://www.kadencewp.com/building-displaying-menus/It should tell you how to add your own pages to a new menu, allowing you full control over the menu content and locations. I would just create a new one from scratch with only the pages you want to use.
3. Sorry for your frustration. I understand that starting with a new theme is a big learning project, but once you figure it out it should make sense. I suggest taking some time to read through the documentation here:
http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/Using this site, as well as the tutorials I linked to above should provide a lot of the required information. We do our best to provide top notch support through the forum, but it’s just not feasible for us to have phone or video conversations. Hopefully you can understand.
4. You can customize your footer content in Appearance> Widgets. Theme Options> Footer controls the layout.
Hopefully this helps clear things up a bit.

January 31, 2019 at 2:41 pm #215214Staff = information about a companies staff. Not related to a user in WordPress in any way. You, in theory, could create staff posts for all your users if you preferred to show them in the output that staff posts offer but that is simply up to you and what you want.
Users = actual users with accounts on the site. For people who create actual content on your site. An authors bio page is an archive of the posts they have created on your site. Important to note that is Posts, not pages.
Since WordPress was designed first as a blog format most of the author and user relationships have to do with the archives of posts.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Button size and centering
I think a good option would be to create the layout you want in page builder, and then add the buttons to their own separate columns.
So it would be 3 page builder rows that are 2 columns each, with one button in each column. Then you can adjust the spacing of them based on the page builder settings.
Let me know if that works for you!

January 31, 2019 at 2:14 pm #215204Hey,
It’s odd because what you are saying shouldn’t actually be possible so I’m not sure. The home page is the front-page.php template it doesn’t matter what template you set in the static page it will always use the front-page.php file.
So if you were developing on a “non” front page that would work where you could use the blog grid template but once you assigned the page as the front page then it would stop because the font-page.php template would take over.
So I’m not sure how you had what you did, but no worries we have a great way to accomplish what you want. We created a Block in Kadence Blocks Pro that allows you to add posts in the format you want and you can set how many you want, even have pagination.
Install Kadence Blocks Pro (part of your theme purchase you can find it in your appearance > getting started > bundled plugins.
Then search for the “post grid/carousel” in your home page content and add that to your page.
Let me know if that helps.
Ben
