The new visual editor is so confusing. I can’t find an option to change the permalink. Most “Add block” icons are invisible. I have to hover the mouse to find it. I added “columns” block and my page looked terrible.

Now I have to install the page builder plugin or switch to code editor.

You can set the number of columns from Theme Options > Portfolio Options > Portfolio Archive Pages > “Choose how many portfolio columns to show on portfolio archive pages”. You can also override this from your portfolio edit page under Portfolio Options. You should see a Columns dropdown. Do you see that?

Ahh thank you. One other thing, is there a way to easily turn off sitewide animations? I think there is an option for that in Virtue and Pinnacle but maybe I’m just looking past it in Ascend. I don’t want to manually go into each page and delete the animations if I don’t have to

Thank you, Ben! That was very helpful and I was able to fix the problem. I have one more question that I’m certain is an easy fix but I’m struggling. On my site there is a blue box at the very top. My links to other pages used to be in that box but now they are below my logo. That’s fine for the web site, but they don’t show up on my phone anymore. How do I fix that?

Hi Hannah,
Ok – after I posted the question – I did more digging and it seems with the update some of the boxes were unchecked and that one was one that we unchecked – it is back now 🙂
So – how to change the columns on the portfolio main page – i can’t change it to more than 3 – do you know how to make it to 4 or 5?

Hey Dina,
Do you mean a featured image? You should see the Featured Image tab on the right side of your portfolio edit page. Is this not the case for you?
Where are you setting the number of columns? Can you post a link?

Hi Hannah, yep that did it, however the options are not showing whereas they are showing on the actual product page.

The plugin Im using for the extra options are WooCommerce TM Extra Product Options.

I can confirm it’s not a bug that the filter doesn’t search your page, it’s not forcing a reload like your sidebar widget it’s simply a filter designed specifically to filter the page and we try to make that clear in the theme options where you turned it on. Where you have a lot of products this filter is not intended to be used. Much better to use normal navigation which you can easily add at the top of your shop page if you wish.

I strongly encourage you not to have more than 80 products on your page. In fact, I would advise not to have more than 30.

However you certainly can do whatever you want regardless of our advice.

I am trying to add a portfolio image with the new build blocks but can’t find where – can you help?
Also after going over all of the options – how do I change that is shows four columns on the portfolio page – i have it changes to four but it will only go in columns of three – am i missing somthing??

Well, thanks for reply, may be that I’m not explained clearly, sorry.
Is enough that you say me how I can increase by CSS or other command line the limit of 80 articles. This is a theme limitation.
If I can put all my items in only one page I solved the problem. Please can you give me this information? My customer will be glad for this…and I of your professional theme.

The default woocommerce filter is not designed to search your pages. You will have to use a plugin for that functionality.

I have activated the categories filter but it works only on the items displayed on the selected page and not on all the products on the site. (attachment 2 shop page)
This is inconvenient, it seems almost a bugs because if I use the product category in the widget it works correctly (attachment 3 product select from widget).

1. Can you tell me what version of Ipad and what version of IOS?

2. In your settings > page builder settings you can define when columns collapse. by default it’s 780px. If you want something like a large Ipad pro to take on the mobile style you would need to bump that up to 1030px

What I can’t figure out, is what are the settings? I have the multiple pics in the slider images, and when I click on the post, the slider shows, but what do I have to do to get the “featured image” to show the slider options on the grid?

What is the “If Kadence or Shortcode Slider” field supposed to have? I couldn’t find a shortcode that worked. Here’s a link to the page, the first one is what I’m trying to do: *Login to see link I wish there was a page showing how that one post was configured to work as shown on the demo
