    Wow, cool thanks Ben!
    I also noticed that the date archive breadcrumbs now include the all posts page!
    Happy Thanksgiving!

    I just pushed out an update nad this was part of that. along with an option to turn on parallax in the theme options for the default title area.

    In a child theme you would add:

    add_filter( 'ascend_parallax_background_page_title', 'custom_parallax_add' );
    function custom_parallax_add($class) {
    if(is_date()) {
       return 'kad-ascend-parallax';
    } else {
    return $class;
    }
    }

    In reply to: Anchor Links

    #208653

    Hey,
    Anchor links don’t scoll so anything is in the middle of the page. Browser scroll down to where the anchor is at the exact top of the screen (assuming the page is long enough to scroll that far).

    You have a sticky header so at the exact top of your screen would place the video behind your header.

    Start by going to your theme options > menu settings. Scroll down to the bottom and turn on “Enable animated scroll for menu anchor links”. This will make give animation and force an offset to account for your header. That will work for menu links.

    Where are you adding the link in your site? because if you are adding the link inside of a page content you may need to add a class so that the smooth scroll knows to look for it.

    Hi there,

    I am trying to create an anchor within a page so that I can then create an anchor link that jumps directly to a video we have put in the middle of a page.

    Here is the anchor link:

    You’ll notice, when you click the link, it jumps to a point that is halfway down the video instead of loading so that the video is squarely in the middle of the screen.

    I even created a row ABOVE the video and dropped the anchor into the text above the video, to try to avoid this, but it’s still jumping too far down the page.

    Can you offer some guidance on how to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Hi Ben,

    I can’t find woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout. We are going to need paypal check, but I can’t find the express checkout plug-in to see if I can remove it. Is it somewhere in woocomomerce settings?

    After installing Cache Enabler and Fast Velocity Minify I am getting the same score on Pingdom (average), and we went from 20 to 23 on Google PageSpeed — still in the “red/bad” zone. I can see that this is going to be more difficult than compressing our images and turning on a Cache plug-in.

    It’s worth noting that this plugin woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout is loading extras scripts on all your pages. and that if it’s what you want then you have to take that into account with what speed results you get.

    The ID is actually pulled from the widget, you don’t add it so it’s being applied to your 4th accordion widget on the page. But as I can see now that you have the js added this won’t work because your titles all have special characters.

    for example:
    ó

    And javascript can’t render that to open the tab because it’s not safe content. I’ll have to update the tabs to force that class to strip out those special characters then your link will just have to not make as much sense.

    #208531

    Hello,

    Try adding this CSS to Theme Options> Custom CSS:

    .page-template-template-staff-grid .staff-entry-content {
        display: none;
    }

    Let me know if that works for you!

    Hi guys,
    I’ve read a number of the support pages on Speed, and ran Pingdom. We get a C.

    CDN, Make Fewer HTTP requests, Use Cookie-Free Domains and Add Expires headers are F
    Reduce DNS lookups in C

    Compression and avoid URL redirects are B.

    Do you have advice for how to address this? Tips? Something to read?

    Thanks. Our site if basically function and we are starting to think about Speed, SEO and the user — which is good!

    Thanks for the great support.

    Hey,
    You shouldn’t be having conflicts with page builder by site origin and this theme. If you want to continue using siteorigin I would suggest deactivating your other plugins to test. It could be that you have a plugin that is in conflict with siteorigin.

    I’m using WordPress 4.9.8, Kadence Blocks plugin 1.1.4.
    In two Row Layout blocks, I tried changing the height of the top and bottom dividers – in the first block (top: curve invert, bottom: waves) to 15, in the second block (top & bottom: Slant Left) to 20. The heights look about right in the Gutenberg editor. In both blocks, when looking at the actual page, the bottom divider is sized properly, the top divider is way too large – probably the default 100.
    I haven’t tried other divider types.
    This is on a password-protected prototyping site, so I can’t give a working URL.

    Hello Hannah,

    I tried deactivating some plugins and seems like “Page Builder by SiteOrigin” was conflicting, i deactivated it and i can now use the classic editor.

    Thanks for the support

    1. I’m not seeing the page. Can you direct me on how to access it? I must be looking in the wrong area.

    2. Glad it works! That will have to be updated in the docs.

    3. Let me know if the problem returns. Also, you’re pretty behind on updates. That could be a part of your issue. I recommend getting all of your plugins to the latest versions.

    4. I don’t see the podcast area. I just see the main header image.

    Hi,

    CJ affiliate stipulates the following:

    * By enabling page-based impression tracking a person need to
    Copy the script generated above and place it just before the </body> tag on your pages or website template.

    I went into Theme extensions but cannot find it. Can you please guide me to where I need to place the script.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi.
    We have recently changed our homepage and builded the new one on new.domain.se where the old one was http://www.domain.se

    Now when we were finished and pointed the DNS www to the new site everything worked except all the theme icons were gone and in Chrome just som empty squares.
    I noticed in my account that the API had an actice site on new.domain.se so i deactivated the API i wordpress admin on the new site after we changed the DNS do http://www.doman.se.
    I then tried to activate the API again i WP-admin, but even thoug the adress is http://www.domain.se the activation in my account still says new.domain.se and the date and time for the new one.

    I dont know if this is even the problem but i have run out of ideas why all icons are mising (in IE) och just shows up as squares (Chrome)

    The ones we are missing is the arrow down i the menu where there is submenus and the icons for social media.

    Please can you take a look at my, site, there seems to be a problem with imagery

    It seems to get to a point the products show but then no images, it’s the same on homepage carousel also.

    #208306

    Gerard in this post: http://roadbook-video.com/ninhbinh/

    Your slider is broken on the archive page because one of the images are missing. Please edit that post and re-edit the slider images so that you can save and the missing image won’t be looked for by the slider.
