    I tried your code for Image menu on Home page, but it didn’t work for me. Therefor I experimented with the Kadence flip box… and with your suggestion border-radius:100% it works with background color, but the flip-box is not round as a circle and I cannot get rid of the icon…

    How do I get an image round?

    Please update the API email address on our Product API Keys page to that under our Account Details (kadence@…).

    We updated the email to kadence@ on the Account Details page but it has not flowed through to our Product API Keys page, specifically for the Kadence Member Package, and kadence@ is the email address we need to activate themes.

    Thanking you in advance

    Sorry! You just need to enable page content in the homepage layout manager. But you should be able to enable your slider from Theme Options > Home Slider.

    No, I must be doing something wrong, Hannah.

    Here is what I’ve done.

    Settings> Reading> Homepage Displays> Latest Posts

    Home Page> Default Template>

    Theme Options> Homepage Layout> Home Layout Manager> Enable is blank

    Theme Options> Homepage Layout> Home Layout Manager> Page Content Options> Latest Post Display set to post excerpt > Use Grid Format On> Post Columns set to three

    Nothing changes. <scratching head>

    #207255

    No, you can certainly have the slider enabled when your front page is the latest posts page. Is this not working for you?
    Make sure you have not set a page as your posts page from Settings > Reading. That needs to be left blank.

    Well if you’re not currently using a plugin the there actually wouldn’t be a cache to clear. I’m not sure why the updated html isn’t showing, but this is what I currently see in the widget:

    <a style="background-color:
    #EEA91F; color: #5E2916; font-size: 10px;"
    href="http://hcarcheology.org/contact-us/">Visit our contact page<br /></a>

    Assuming you add the image menu items through your homepage layout manager (theme options > home layout), this css may get you close to what you’re wanting:

    .home-message h5 {
        color: transparent;
        background-color: transparent;
        width: 100%;
        text-align: center;
    }
    .home-message:hover h5 {
        color: #fff;
    }
    .home-message h4 {
        width: 100%;
        text-align: center;
        top: 130px;
        background: transparent;
        left: 0;
        color: #fff;
    }

    You can paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings.
    Without being able to see your site it’s hard to know for sure. Let me know when you have things set up.

    Followup question…Hannah.

    So I can’t have a Slider on the frontpage with a blog Post Grid below with more than 2 columns?

    If I want more than 2 columns of posts on frontpage, I have to lose the slider and just have a traditional Blog Post Page in grid form?

    Thank you,
    Pam

    Not sure really. Probably enlarge on hover but will that affect all images that have a link to a larger image i.e. gallery or will this just be for the Portfolio main page like this one.

    I don’t see the CSS on your page. Did you clear your cache after adding it?

    That’s very odd. I don’t know what might cause you to not be able to see the page when I can. Can you send a screenshot of what you’re seeing? you can host images here:

    I’ve tried it in Safari and Chrome, and only see a white page and part of the menu in both browsers. Ive tried clearing cookies and cache too

    Hey Leif,
    The Virtue Image Menu Item widgets would get you a similar look. Then you could use css to style it more closely to what you’re wanting. You can add this through the homepage layout manager, or through any widget area.
    Hope that’s helpful!

    How can I create 3 or 4 images with text like this website (top of this home page)-

    #207216

    Dear Hannah:

    It looks like it would not. To Clarify:

    The Pinterest “Follow” button allows a site visitor to “become a follower of my Pinterest account” by clicking the button on my website.
    It is a function different from having a button that only takes you to my Pinterest page.

    Links to instructions for adding the “Follow” button to a website are below:

    https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/widgets/follow-button/
    Instead of “Anapin Skywalker” my website name “EasyEcoClean” would appear on the button

    https://developers.pinterest.com/tools/widget-builder/?type=follow

    Let me know what further questions you have.

    The page is viewable when I log into your site.
    What browser are you having this issue with?

    Thanks guys!

    Hannah, it’s a dev site that’s only accessible through a hosts file redirected domain name. Once I get to a point where it is relatively stable though I can set up a page with a link to test. Thanks!

    Kevin, OK no problem. I wasn’t sure which plugin you meant. I’ll check out Heroic. This particular site uses a very small section that I’m evaluating for possible use as a knowledgebase (rather than just making regular pages or posts) so I’m looking for a free plugin first to see if that’ll do the job. On a site where a knowledgebase is more central I’d be more inclined to go with a more extensive and expensive option though. So I’ll check Heroic out anyway for future use even if I don’t use it on this particular site.

    Thanks,
    -MikeS

    How do I underline the “Visit our contact page” in footer at the bottom. Here’s the current code for it:

    <p style=”background-color: #EEA91F;”>To contact us:<a style=”background-color:
    #EEA91F; color: #5E2916; font-size: 12px;”
    href=” our contact page<br /> Mail your inquiries to HCAA, PO Box 290393, Kerrville Texas 78029-0393</br></p>
