In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Page Load Issues
Hi Ben,
we have optimised the page speed and the GTMetrix is giving us 96% and 5.2 s page load speed. The problem is that the homepage loads only partially – without the products showing up. It was happening occasionally in the past, but now it’s happening all the time. I think that that’s why the bouncing rate is so high on Google Analytics as well.Could you, please, have a look at it and find the cause of this?
Thank you.

Thank You Hannah! Worked a treat!
One more question…. I just realised I have the same problem with RECENT POSTS WIDGET in the SIDEBAR.
The font size is way too big… again following the conent size of 24px.
Is there CSS to do the same for that widget?
Here is the Blog page with the sidebar:
Thanks in advance! 🙂
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Page formatting & non-breaking spaces
AnonymousOctober 24, 2018 at 5:10 pm #205252Hi everyone,
Thanks for your replies –
This has been an ongoing problem for as long as I can remember. It never bothered me that much but now I have a client who plans to be updating her pages regularly and it’s problematic for her.
Ascend theme is updated to the latest version, but again, this has been going on through many versions. Plugins as well are not the issue.
I don’t use paragraph tags <p> but rather non-breaking space code
I would happily edit only in the visual side but on that side I cannot always get the formatting the way I want it. For example, it will add space between lines that I do not want.
I’d love to try any ideas you have for a better way to manage this.
Cheers!

Hello,
Our themes include a landing page template. See here:

Thank you very much. Solved the problem!
Your theme is one of the best I’ve seen and I tried a few (paid and free). Support is really good too!
I think you could really benefit from advertising/marketing. It took me quite some time to stumble upon your page. All you usually
find ist the themeforest.net themes and I’m not very impressed by them. You beat them in every regard…In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Blocks parallax

AnonymousOctober 24, 2018 at 10:58 am #205192Hi there,
I have a client who would like to have a variety of sidebar options for different pages. Right now in the widgets editor, I see space to create two sidebar variables – but what if I need four or five variables? I don’t see a way to create new widget variables (i.e. Sidebar 2, Sidebar 3, Sidebar 4) … Is there a way to do this?
Thank you!

October 24, 2018 at 10:53 am #205188Hey,
It’s recommended as much as elementor and brizy. It comes down to what you need. The major thing with site origin and WPML is to make sure “panels_data” meta is being translated not copied.
Try editing now, i should have updated your home page to translate panels_data and not copy it.

Hum, I did turn it off for the specific pages. However, when I turned off the setting globally it corrected the issue. Lazy Load was not causing an issue until the last update… I think the update was WP Rocket.
I would like to keep using Lazy Load for other pages. Do you think there is another page the Lazy Load is being applied to? I can follow up with WP Rocket too.
Thanks!
In forum: Ascend ThemeAnonymousOctober 24, 2018 at 10:26 am #205180Hi there,
I have discovered that when I try to edit a page in the Visual composer, I often cannot get the formatting (especially paragraph breaks) to look the way I want.
Then I go over into text editor and I make the changes I want, and it works just fine. But often I have to add or other bits of “instructions” into the editor.
However, I have noticed that if I toggle between visual and text editor, or even if my client opens a page to make a few copy edits and uses the visual editor to do so, then the “instructions” for formatting I created in the text editor get stripped out, and the formatting looks all cattywompus again.
Is there a fix or workaround for this?
Thanks in advance!

October 24, 2018 at 9:10 am #205157Hey, Just for clarity Woo extras only controls the product gallery on the single product pages. Not the archive image sizes.
I turned off the setting in the theme options and changed the crop setting in your woocommerce settings (for some reason you had not changed that yet). You can see it working on your site now.

The photos are not loading correctly on the staff grid.
I use WP Rocket and turned off all features for this page. I didn’t have an issue until the last round of plugin updates. I use Elementor, but this page does not use Elementor.
Have you seen this issue before? Any ideas? Thanks!

Translation issue:
Did some digging but couldn’t find a solution. The suggested plug in didn’t work. However, I found a translation file in the Virtue_Premium theme folder. In the header of the file it says: “Language-Team: Virtue Theme german translationn” so I assume this file is part of the theme.
I looked at it and found the proper translation listed in the file. For some reason, it doesn’t get rendered on the actual webpage.
Please see picture. Any suggestions?

I found the other cache at the top of the page when you open the “caching” dropdown, and then click “cache settings.” It takes you to a section labeled “endurance cache,” which when googled, pointed to bluehost. You still will probably want to go ahead and disable this “endurance cache,” as I don’t believe it’s part of wpfastest.
The CSS Hannah is referring to was found in the page builder widget attributes section. I’ve gone ahead and removed the CSS for you. Let me know if it’s displaying correctly now.

In forum: Ascend ThemeGood Afternoon,
I’m having trouble with my Welsh language home page reverting to English after making any changes to the page and updating. I contacted WPML support and after some testing it seems to be SiteOrigins Page builder widget (Main plugin not Widgets bundle) thats causing the issue. (I deactivated all plugins except WPML and when I activated the SiteOrigin plugin the issue occurred.)
As this is a Theme recommended plugin I though I’d enquire here first. Can you help?
Thanks,
AnthonyIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Link Color, Language, Cart icon
@Kevin
1: If you use the primary color option, it also affects most woocommerce buttons as well as the shipping cart icon etc. This causes an issue especially if you use a “dark theme” (dark background etc.). It would be really useful if it was possible to change the color of links in pages, product descriptions etc, without affecting the woocomerce buttons or other links in product tiles etc.2: Thanks! I don’t know why I missed that option…
3: I thought it might be related to an issue with the theme itself because everything else in woocommerce is shown in the proper language. I’ll be trying your suggestion.
4:Worked. Thanks!
