In forum: Virtue ThemeI was trying to find out how to get the following link to open inside a page on the Viture theme website, not redirect to the link address.
Not certain that can even be done, but if anyone would know how, it would be you.
Thank you very much!

Hannah, thank you for the code.
I don’t understand the blank div that you are referring to.
Actually, I am not sure about a lot of the set up on that page. I want to delete some things that seem like they are not being used but I don’t want to mess anything up.
Could you tell me where the blank div is located?

August 17, 2018 at 1:11 pm #199173Hi Ben,
Thank you so much!! I was able to get into the wp-content/plugins folder, remove and then re-install the Site Origin Page Builder plugin as you suggested. Everything seems to be working back as it was before. I will look into our hosting service as well. It seems to be lagging quite a bit and I’ve heard from other users that there are far better hosting companies for WordPress websites.
Issue resolved!

Hey Joya,
You can make your image be contained on mobile with this css:@media (max-width: 768px) { .siteorigin-panels-stretch.kt-panel-row-stretch.panel-widget-style.panel-row-style.panel-row-style-for-74-0 { background-size: contain !important; background-repeat: no-repeat; padding-bottom: 75px !important; padding-top: 75px !important; } }It looks like you have a blank div on your page that is adding extra space. Do you see that?

Hi Ben and thanks for getting back,
So far I activated and updated amp.
I deactivated my caching plugin.I deactivated my autoptomize plugin but I did not see how to turn off unless you need me to go in and uncheck everything first then deactivate it. If so let me know and I can take care of that.
As far as custom java script i am clueless about that unless it is a shortcode for like a button link to take you to another page

In forum: Virtue ThemeGreetings! What setting should I use to make my blog page cover photo mobile friendly? I have it set to cover but I am not sure what else to do. Also there is a large white space underneath the image. Is the image supposed to be a certain size? If so, what would those dimensions be in px or in?
Thank you.
I am sending login details.

August 17, 2018 at 12:08 am #199127Hey,
Right now your three links take me to a custom 404 page. So I can’t see any of the output for the errors you mentioned. If you can enable the plugin I can look at what you are getting. I also ask that you turn off then deactivate auto optimize plugin while you are asking for troubleshooting as well as any caching plugins you might have.
I also noticed once I activated I started getting warnings from my Updraft plus backup of a large file. Would this be due that when I activated Amp that it made a new page for each of my online products? If it did can just that amp page be modified and the ordinal page be left as it is?The amp pages are not files or even added database. There is literally nothing added that would take up more space in a backup so that can’t be it. Amp pages are just rendering your content in amp code. It’s the same content and not an individual duplicate.
Are you personally adding any custom javascript anywhere on your site?

August 16, 2018 at 11:54 pm #199121Hey,
I’m not sure what you’re going for really but based on the link you posted to the “problem” page using an image like you are it seems like you would just want to set the background to “cover” in your slider settings. If you want to output this as the featured image through the “blog header” options inside the post you should turn off the height crop by turning on the setting “Turn off height crop for single post header image” in your blog options (I went ahead and did this for you so you can see the output).
Let me know if either of those helped.

August 16, 2018 at 11:48 pm #199120Hey,
So here is likely what happened. Durning an update of pagebuilder your site timed out before it could remove the entire plugin and install the latest version. This can happen because of low-end hosting, or a hiccup in the server or some permissions error on the server settings.Since part of the plugin was remove WordPress can’t read it as a plugin so it doesn’t show it as an option to remove and since the folder is there WordPress can’t place a new folder in.
You are left with needing to access the files via your host login and navigating to web files or through FTP.
You would then go to wp-content/plugins/ and remove the folder for siteorigin-panels.
Then you would be able to reinstall the plugin and get your site working.
If you don’t know how to get to those webfiles I can do it for you with a login to FTP on your server or a login to the hosting cpanel.
I hope that helps,
Ben

August 16, 2018 at 11:43 pm #199119Just to make sure it’s clear, “portfolio” can be anything as long as it’s static and not used by a page.
So you could use:
theatre/%category%Ben

August 16, 2018 at 11:41 pm #199118does a reinstallation of WP is a idea?
no, I don’t suggest you do that.
reinstalling the last premium theme
That wouldn’t have any effect. It’s not a theme issue.
I would love to have taht kind of permalink structure :
https://fr.mauriziomontobbio.com/nameofparentportfolio/portfoliopostname
That is not possible with wordpress. A custom post type (portfolio) must have a unique slug not shared by any page or other post type.
You can not add
%category%/as the portfolio slug. You could use
portfolio/%category%for example but you can’t have a slug as a variable. The custom post type structure must have a unique static slug.I updated so you can see it working.
