    Hey,

    I should have said if you need something right now so you can work add this in your theme options > custom css box and it will make all the beaver builder pages fullwidth.

    .fl-builder #content {
        width:100%;
        padding-left:0;
        padding-right:0;
        max-width: 100%;
    }

    Hey guys, I have tried every setting I can find and searched here but can’t quite seem to get this working. I am using Beaver Builder as my page builder and installed the Ascend Theme (love it so far!). On the individual page under the “page attributes” where it shows “template” there is no option for full width, just Default, Blog, Landing, Portfolio, Staff & Testimonial. Then in the “Layout Settings” in theme options I have it “Site layout style” set to “Normal”. Below that “site layout max-width” I have set to “none”. I have tested changing that last setting to everything available but still no luck.

    All of my Beaver Builder rows are set to full width and work correctly when tested on stock themes. Am I missing something in the settings that allows this full page?

    Thank you!

    Wow Ben, this is working quite nicely! I can’t thank you enough.

    I am, however seeing problems on 2 pages; the home page and any page this is a collection of posts in a given category such as NEWS, REVIEWS, INTERVIEWS, and other such pages. If you click READ MORE to view the post itself, all is right with the world. But on these summary pages, like the Home page, my new right sidebar overlays the content of the page.

    This is probably a silly question, but any thoughts?

    Hello,

    I am using the accordian shortcode to display course information in a smaller format on pages and the client likes how it opens up, but when you open up lower ones the screen doesn’t automatically scroll back up to the information.

    Is there a way to automate this? Or is it just not possible?

    Here is what the client actually wants:
    “When you click on the other titles boxes with ‘Qualifications Section’ open, the other title openings jump to the bottom of the screen. But, this does not happen when you work your way back up. Can you have a look around and see what is happening.”

    Here’s the page I have been working on:

    many thanks
    Nic

    This sidebar is going to be for her advertisers, so we want it on every page.

    I know we can safely assume that this second sidebar would be fine appearing below the content on mobile, so no problem there. Whether is appears before or after the left hand sidebar isn’t even that crucial, though I may place it before if possible.

    Regarding not having page by page control; if that’s a restriction to keep things reasonable, then so be it.

    Do you have any examples of what I would have to change in the <?php dynamic_sidebar( ascend_sidebar_id() ); ?>section?

    What CSS would I have to include?

    Sorry about this, I know you guys are really going above the call on this one, but I truly appreciate it.

    As I understand it, she would have to update each of these posts individually using this new saved layout I’ve created which would be a substantial piece of work. Am I correct, or is there an easier way

    If you are using page builder to do it then you would have to update each one.

    Using a child theme you can manually add in another sidebar, probably the easiest would be to copy the “sidebar.php” file into your child theme and duplicate the content inside but changing the <?php dynamic_sidebar( ascend_sidebar_id() ); ?> section to load your extra sidebar ID.

    Then there would need to be some trickry with css to make this all work. That assumes you want this sidebar below your content on mobile and that you don’t need page by page control of this sidebar ID.

    So there are some scenarios where you would need to do this differently.

    If you only wanted to add this extra to single posts then you would need to add in a little if statement surrounding the extra sidebar.

    Do you mean on your homepage? You linked to a product archive page so I was confused. This css should work for the carousel on your homepage:

    .slick-slide span.price {
    min-height: 50px;
    }

    So I’m still struggling with a solution for this one. Using side header isn’t an option, my client just didn’t like the look at all.

    As I mentioned, I created a template that uses a column to simulate a right side bar, but the problem here is that my client had already migrated 11 pages worth of her blog posts into this new site before deciding she might want this twin sidebar layout. As I understand it, she would have to update each of these posts individually using this new saved layout I’ve created which would be a substantial piece of work. Am I correct, or is there an easier way?

    I’m already using a child theme on this site, so would it be possible to create a Word Press function to support 2 sidebars at once? Or is this controlled completely by the theme? I’m clutching at straws here trying to find a solution that makes my client happy but also makes sense from a workload perspective.

    Thanks yet again!

    Hi

    I have 6 images in the custom carousel on the home page of jccmw.org, with links added in the theme options/home layout menu page under Home custom carousel items. They had been working beautifully but now most of them just open a new tab of the home page.

    I’ve tried deleting a slide and creating from scratch but get the same problem.

    Any ideas?

    Hey Ellen,
    Please create your own topic when asking a question. You can do so by going to the bottom of this page for example: https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/forum/virtue-theme/

    As for your issue I would guess it’s a server one. index.php should not be in your permalink. The only way that shows is if your wordpress site isn’t configured correctly on the server. So I think the first thing to do is fix that. Your hosting provider should be able to help you.

    Hey Judy,
    I’m seeing the redirect take effect. Did you figure this out?

    Hello!

    I am using a portfolio on my website page linked below:
    https://brassanchor.com/index.php/trips/

    I am also using Jetpack.

    Any updates to plugins – doesn’t matter which one – does something to JetPack. What happens is this: after I update plugins, the above portfolio director page does not work properly. The underlying portfolio pages are not found (“Page not found” when a portfolio item is clicked on the above-linked page).

    In order to get the portfolio pages working again, I have to go into Jetpack, actually turn ON “Use Portfolio Pages” under settings, and then turn it back off.

    Am I looking at a Kadence/Virtue issue, or a Jetpack issue?

    Thanks for helping me.

    I’ve tried with safe redirect and the portfolio post /portfolio/adult-swim/ ‎
    is still not redirecting to the relevant page https://jccmw.org/health-and-fitness/aquatics-pool/adult-swim-programs/

    Hi Hannah,
    I think this is right….
    My website is freemiums.com.
    Regarding the top bar nav, can I add a logo to the top left and add menu items to the right of bar?
    Can the top bar nav and primary nav respond to one another as you scroll down a page. See this site for example
    Could you please provide me with directions on how to make the top bar nav and primary nav stick to the top of screen as you scroll down the homepage?
    Thanks.

    Hey

    It’s supposed to link to the portfolio parent page

    It’s not supposed to. I understand that you want to make it do that but the way portfolio posts work they do not link to a page. A portfolio post links to its individual portfolio post.

    If you would like to add a redirect then you must do that through a plugin. Check out this plugin for example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/

    Does that make sense?

    When you scroll to the bottom of the page I linked to what do you see? You should see a title stating: “NEED TO ASK A QUESTION?
    Create New Topic in the Ascend Theme forum” Are you not seeing that?

    I tested the link on another page and there it doesn’t work as well. So the Summer Camps page links are indeed configured correctly. The next thing that I would try is going through your active plugins one by one to see if there is a plugin conflicting with the proper functionality of the links.

    Be sure that you clear your cache after each plugin.

    I’ll take a look at the portfolio query now.

    #196229

    Have cleared my cache, optimized, cleared my browser settings.

    Yes, that’s the problem. It’s supposed to link to the portfolio parent page at https://jccmw.org/health-and-fitness/aquatics-pool/adult-swim-programs/

    #196226

    Odd, I just copied the raw html of your link to my site and the link opened in another tab. Would you be able to share a login in a private reply so that I can take a look at the content of that page to see if something is breaking it?

    I do see one html tag that could be throwing things off. There is a <br /> that seems incorrect. I’m not sure if you’re adding this or it’s coming from elsewhere.
