Hi there

I was editing my site and all of a sudden my shortcodes dropdown stopped working.
It no longer drops down so I can make a selection and I have no idea why.

It can’t be anything that I did because i was simply typing in text on a page.
I’ve tried deactivating a number of plugins to see if they are interfering and that doesn’t seem to help.
I’ve updated all my plugins and the theme and that has not helped.
I’ve also logged in and logged out a number of times and that too has not helped.

I’ve tried to use Site origin visual editor and virtues visual editor, both for their shortcodes drop down and neither work.

Please help, I’d really really appreciate it.

Hi Hannah,

I wasn’t aware that it was displaying. Clearing my cache seemed to do the trick although I am now seeing that widget appear throughout the entire website. I’ve double checked that the widget dock options are set to Show only on: ‘Pages‘ and the ‘Home‘ page for Everyone. I’ve refreshed my browser cache again to see if that had anything to do with it and I’m still seeing the widget dock throughout the entire website. What am I missing?

I’m guessing that what I’m seeing is very similar to something I observed with the Ascend Gallery and Ben explained whereby the gallery is sized for a width of 1140 pixels and a 5th column will be added even though I specify 4 when I move to a display that can accommodate the 1440 pixel width that I’ve specified. This time it’s with the blog posts shortcode.

I’m using this code snippet: [blog_posts type="grid" items="2" columns="2" cat="business"] in a row element that spans 66% of the row. I have a graphic in the element that spans the other 34%. It looks perfect on my laptop, but when I plug into my dock station and my 23″ monitor takes advantage of the 1440px max I’ve specified, the column with the 2 blog posts non longer spans the entire width of the cell. Any way to get it to do this?

The only change in my functions.php file is replacing the global sidebar on single testimonial posts according to this post. So that shouldn’t be the cause. Could it be in my CSS? Perhaps I am forcing it to display?

Hello,

For the testimonials page, make sure that the “Add link to single post” box isn’t ticked.

In the testimonial widget, make sure that “Conditional read more link if more content:” is set to false.

Hello John,

You can remove the header from just your home page by adding this CSS to Theme Options> Advanced Settings:

.home header#kad-banner {
    display: none;
}

If that doesn’t work, please post a link and so I can see your current header configuration.

i forced the mobile menu to always appears but when i scroll down the page *Login to see link the mobile icons color change to dark one and the menu bar fill in white… how can i have the icon in white and the menu bar transparent?

So you’re just wanting the titles and prices on your woocommerce archive pages? Can you post a link?

So there actually isn’t a function to make this flow as you’re wanting. When using the tilt, the background color will pull from the “Next Row Background Color” set in the page builder row styles settings. Unfortunately, you can’t pull the image from the next row up to fill this space. It is more so designed to work when using the background color, rather than image.

I need to remove the product images from a woocommerce product archive page as they are all very similar.

I tried adding
remove_action( ‘woocommerce_shop_loop_item_title’, ‘woocommerce_template_loop_product_title’, 10 );
and
remove_action( ‘woocommerce_shop_loop_item_title’, ‘kt_woocommerce_template_loop_product_title’, 10 );

to the functions.php file but it did not do anything. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Try removing “position: static !important;” from the CSS below. I believe this is causing your issue.

.page-id-56 #portfolio_template_wrapper .p_item {
