I’m using a widget in the Above Footer Widget Area and Footer Column 1, but we’d like to suppress these from appearing on any page that has Member Pages as a Parent page. Is there any way to accomplish this? HERE is an example of one the pages on which we’d like to hide these widgets. There is a sidebar menu with a list of bands. All those with an * have a page on this site and we’d like to suppress these footer widgets for all of them.
Thanks so much!

The demo is done using the Kadence Slider Pro and setting it as the home page header from Theme Options > Home Page Header. Then set the “Transparent Header on Home page?” to True.
1. It looks like all those shortcodes have been added to your Menu Item Description. If you navigate to Appearance > Menus and enable Description from the Screen Options tab you should see a description tab under the Home Page Trial menu item. You can remove them from there.
2&3. Glad to hear it!

Hey Ben,
So, I would have to disable the side bar page by page?
I am using Learndash plugin, and the course pages do not show this option to individually set them as fullwidth.
The website has an undercontruction mode enabled, so I’ll send you a loging information in private. If you could just take a look and tell me if there is a way to globaly turn the sidebars off, I would be very thankfull.
Thank you,

June 10, 2018 at 3:01 am #192656Just another thing – in Chrome, when I shrink the page to invoke the mobile menu, when I click the burger menu button, it has a blue border around it and a blue shape appears under it lined with the Home menu option. If I click anywhere on the page that shape disappears but I cannot see what is producing it.
It appears on Edge but it is an orange colour border and shape.
Any ideas at all please.
I cannot “inspect” it because as soon as you click it disappears – very annoying!
Thanks

June 9, 2018 at 10:05 pm #192651In your other pages select the fullwidth page template.
In your theme options > home layout turn on the sidebar.

In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 9, 2018 at 10:05 pm #192650Hey,
1. In regards to your templates out of date, those are edits you are making in your child theme. That is something only you control and you would need to update your child theme files:– And I’m getting warning about two outdated templates (virtue_premium_child/woocommerce/emails/customer-invoice.php and virtue_premium_child/product-searchform.php)I’m not sure what you’re changing in those files but they just need to be updated to the latest versions of woocommmerce.
2. As for categories. I couldn’t see your test page, I used the login but it doesn’t look like it’s set as an admin so I still could only see coming soon page.
3. In terms of update order, as a general rule I would suggest updating the theme before woocommerce but it doesn’t really matter in this case.

June 9, 2018 at 9:44 pm #192647Hey,
The child theme is here is empty: https://www.kadencewp.com/child-themes/It’s just a shell so you have an example for how to build a child theme but it will not have any effect on anything if you activate it.
Bold changes the style and settings in virtue. It has a base setup that is suggested if you are going to use it and it changes how virtue would output things by default.
For example look at the normal blog page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog/
And the bold blog page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-bold/our-blog/
The changes there (and with the rest of the site) are more than one settings in the theme can achieve.
I hope that helps and clarifies.

June 9, 2018 at 9:34 pm #192644Hey
With you asking so many questions in the same topic (something we kindly ask you not do) please number your responses so it’s easier to track all that you are asking.1. Homepage Header image. Whats the link to your site? Can you send a login? If you are adding a slider and you want a row separator (which is only for backgrounds) to sit on top of a slider then you would have to use custom css. So if this is the case we need a link if you want a row separator to effect a slider instead of a row background.
To be clear this page is not using a slider: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/
That image is simply the background of the first row.
TIMELY – I can’t say that I’ve ever used this plugin but this certainly doesn’t make sense to me:
It does have a shortcut, but it says to use it on external sites only. Apparently there could be issues using it on my own site?
I must not be understanding the purpose of this plugin if that is the case.
What made you pick this plugin? What have the plugin authors said in regards to what you want to do?

June 9, 2018 at 9:06 pm #192638I think perhaps you are asking for this:
.kad-header-menu-inner.container { max-width: 90%; }But what are you wanting for screens that are smaller where there isn’t extra space outside of the page content container.

June 9, 2018 at 9:02 pm #192636I’m not sure I understand. Assuming you are using portfolio posts for something else then you can create a video portfolio type and assign your video portfolios to it. Your portfolio page can show a specific type and doesn’t have to show every portfolio post you create. If you simply create a type for videos and make a page that only shows video portfolio post types it wouldn’t mix with a different portfolio type.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Video on post doesn’t show
I created a video page using “Video” widget in pagebuilder, which only gives me option to add the url link. The videos all seem to work well that way. I wonder generally which is better…to use the url link or embede code? I would like the videos once someone views them not to show some other video next unrelated to the website. Another thing is when opening up a video to full screen it doesn’t show the scroll bar. Any ideas?
Hi
I was long due on updates and finally got around to it. I made a copy of current site and run updates there.
1. first I updated all plugins except woocommerce – everything was OK
2. then I updated woocommerce (2.6.14 -> 3.4.2) – I got an issue with category pages not showing content at all. Problem was in solution from here: *Login to see link
– I commented this part out in functions.php and content is shown now, but Page title is not where it should be.
– And I’m getting warning about two outdated templates (virtue_premium_child/woocommerce/emails/customer-invoice.php and virtue_premium_child/product-searchform.php)
3. then I did update of Virtue theme (3.9.8 -> 4.6.1) – everything is OK
4. then I did update od WordPress (4.7.10 -> 4.9.6) – everything is OKSo now I’m left with this two issues, that I don’t know how to fix. Can you please help me.
Should I do updates in different order on my live site?
This is live site: *Login to see link
and this is test site: *Login to see linkThank you in advance
