    Greetings

I found the child theme for Virtual here:

I also found one called Virtual BOLD here:

What are the differences between the two? Is there a page that compares the two for easy comparing?

    Hi,
I have a portfolio grid where the portfolio title and portfolio type is shown in the featured image.
Is it possible to also show the portfolio tags in this featured image and on the portfolio pages?

    Thanks in advance!

Here’s a link to two pictures. One is an example of the row separator using a Home Page Header. The other is an example without a header, but using the Page Builder row with a picture widget.

    https://postimg.cc/gallery/2fmvl4p16/

And here is a link to Timely’s Calendar widget for WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/

It does have a shortcut, but it says to use it on external sites only. Apparently there could be issues using it on my own site???? Here’s the message it provides:

    “Attention!

These widgets are designed to be embedded in external sites only and may cause conflicts if used within the same WordPress site.
Use Appearance > Widgets to add event widgets to your WordPress site as you would any other widget, or use shortcodes to embed the full calendar.”

When I follow these directions and add the widget to a Page Builder row, it doesn’t show up.

I know Timely is not part of Ascend, or Kadence related, so I greatly appreciate any suggestions you have.

I want all videos on their own page. When I use the portfolio route, the video ends up on the portfolio page with images that are there, not on the Video page. Need the videos to be on their own page separate from portfolio page, in a post style layout. And haven’t ever used a Lightbox. Sorry for my confusion on this.

When I looked at different demo content I liked the Video Portfolio demo content and how it gave layout options for videos. The Mountains are Calling one has a similar Portfolio post style layout option. However, I don’t see a video template option for the Mountains are Calling demo content. I guess I could simply create a Video page and use Pagebuilder for the video image and link. But would like the post style like it is on the other demo content, http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-5/video-post-style/.

Since I didn’t use the post style for the portfolio page, could I simply change the page title and use that one? Probably not. Any easy way to do this?

What do you recommend I do to embed Youtube videos on a Video Page/Post Style for Ascend?I used Mountains are Calling Demo content.

    Hey,
I looking at the code in this plugin and it seems that the added tr is intentional, certainly, the only way to remove it from the plugin is through the plugins files. Nothing in the theme or our plugins are adding it.

Also if you simply temporarily select woocommerce default in our woo builder plugin or deactivate the plugin and look at a product page on your stage site the same layout still occurs. (making me wonder why you ever assumed it was our template plugin to being with).

Finally, on your non-stage site, you are not using the latest version of the swatches plugin. So it seems you updated that swatches plugin on your stage site and it broke the layout you wanted.

So I don’t know if you have gone to the plugin developer or not but it’s something that they should help you with since they added the extra rows.

hmm, it’s not being removed just moved lower on the page. the field is below your body background. FYI this only happens if both woocommerce and portfolio are turned off.

with so many fields being removed the order is just getting effected a little with this item, I’ll see about adding a little order fix.

Yes, I’ll probably use portfolio. In the other site (I send you links) I use “Benefits” directory for information not very important, that’s why I’d like to have the same possibilities in Virtue, but i’ll try with portfolio.

Here benefits with the title “ACTUALITAT, BREUS”:

Here the main page of benefits:

    Hello,

There was a problem with the thin vertical lines between the items of primary menu in Hebrew pages, here:

You helped me with a CSS code,

After adding the code, now the previous problem appeared for the pages in Romanian (left-to-right), see here:

    Thank you,

    Nicolae

    Hey,

I’m hoping you can throw together for me a little snippet for the CSS box section.

Basically, I have a call to action that has a linked telephone number – (inspecting the page highlights the section as – ‘h2.kt-call-to-action-title’)

My problem is – when hunting for bugs on a friends iPhone, I found the linked part of the CTA (the telephone number) is appearing as invisible (but still clickable) AND/OR blue (the same colour as the background, so it ‘appears’ invisible).

I’d like to add a little CSS that will force the link to always be white – maybe using ‘!important’ ?

Hopefully, that all makes sense – I’m hopeless at throwing snippets together so I thought I’d better ask for some advice before I go breaking things! 😛

As always, many thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Chris

    Hi Steph,
You can enable a portfolio grid and posts grid on your homepage from Theme Options > Home Layout by enabling “Portfolio Full” and “Latest Posts”.
Or you can add a shortcode into a text widget within the home widget area. You can see all shortcodes here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/
    Hope that’s helpful!

Thank you, Hannah. That CSS code worked perfectly. I ended up setting the transparency to .9, so it’s subtle but I like it.

So far I have been able to get the Image Menu items to work the way I want to. I ended up going with bottom alignment on the labels anyway, lol. Unfortunately, I am still having trouble getting my header image to look like yours on this page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/. When I follow your directions I get the row separator, but it’s offset below my header picture with a gap that shows the white background color I selected. I tried placing the Ascend: Image widget into the top row and set it to Cover, but it does not look at all like the Home Page Header I get through Theme Options. Plus, it sits below the Logo bar, so the transparency effect is lost. The Logo bar and its transparency are still working, it’s just above the picture instead of layered on top of it. I have a picture. How can I send it to you?

I can create the row separators in the body of the page, but I’m having trouble getting my Timely calendar widget to show up in the Page Builder row I created for it. The Timely calendar simply lets you select which page you’d like the calendar to show up on, so then I have no control over that element without knowing code. Anyway, I’ll check out the calendar you recommended and see if I can get that one to work.

Recent Posts and Call to Action are still on the list, too. LOL. I’ll take some time to look through the info links you sent. Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Hannah

It’s the home page…where the main image changes appearance. Depending on what device is used to veiw it, the same image appears to fit perfectly in the screen. I know I’ve seen it before on this site, but my search terms isn’t finding it.

Hi, I am wondering what I can do to get the foot to be the full width of the page with maybe 25px padding on the left and right side.

    The site is http://www.wcblawfirm.com.

    Thank you!

    Hey Ben,

I think I found a small bug in the pinnacle theme.

If you turn off the Portfolio theme extension and then go to the Advanced Theme Styling. The setting options under “Post and Page Content area Background” are no longer visible.

Evening, I know for a fact this will be a simple fix as I know there is a button to press… I just can’t locate the damn thing.

In the Product Carousel on the home page if you hover on a product it slides to the second image in that products image gallery. How do you turn that off?

    Thanks!

    #192458

    1. Yes, the transparency is .7. You can read more about rgba here: https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/func_rgba.asp

    2. It was done using page builder. Create a row at the top of your page, set the row layout to fullwidth stretched and give it a background color. Then you can set the row separator. Next, you can add a visual editor widget to give it text.

    3. When your videos are ready you can simply select your slider from Theme Options > Home Page Header.

    4. For Wanderlust the homepage is set to a static page (settings > reading). Then you can go into your homepage and create a row in page builder with 3 columns and add an ascend image menu item widget to each column. Then you can create a new row and add a split content widget. This calendar plugin seems to work well: https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-organiser/
The recent posts are added to a three column row, each column with a kadence recent post widget and a specific category selected.
Then the call to action is done by creating a row in page builder and setting the row layout to full width stretched. Add a background image and set the row separator. Then you can add a call to action widget into the row.

    5. There is definitely a learning curve with all of this. But you’ll get there! And we are happy to help along the way. Your theme options control the overall look of your site, and page builder is used to edit individual pages and posts.
You can find theme documentation here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/

Thanks for the quick reply, Hannah!

“rgba(255,255,255,.7)” : Am I correct in assuming that this is the rgba code for white with a .7 transparency?

Sorry for the confusion about which builder I am using. I am using Page Builder. I can’t afford to lose the data I have on the site now, so I’ll have to build from here in Page Builder.

How did you guys create this header with the double center triangle row separator: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/? Can you walk me through accomplishing that?

Eventually, I will want to replace my header image with a series of videos, like in your Video Portfolio template: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-5/. Yes, I have Kadence Slider Pro installed. Does this change how we build the header for a static image now? Or is this simply an overhaul project for later when I have the videos ready?

Below my image header with row separator, I’d like to build out the Wanderlust page like your template. I’d like to have the three Image Menu items with centered text followed by my calendar of events where your split column, wanderlust definition is. (If you guys have a recommendation for a quality, free calendar, I’d be open to suggestions.) I really like the way you have blog posts set up with a feature article and recent posts smaller. Can you help me recreate that, too? And then the call to action with row separator pointing to the footer.

I would appreciate any help you can give for setting this up. I understand that the versatility and power comes from using widgets and Page Builder, but it sure would be nice to be able to fully recreate the templates directly from Theme Options. I just don’t know enough about web development to know when you are using a Theme Options element, Page Builder (and shutting off Theme Options), CSS code, or some other plugin. It’s kinda like buying a Lego set only to discover that there are no step-by-step directions and some of the pieces used for the picture on the box are from a different set! LOL!

    Thanks again for your help.
