Topic: Text css
Hi there,
I have some custom fields on my woocommerce product pages and they are not displaying on a single line using the Virtue premium theme.
If you see this link:
Custom fields:
Location
: Pukeatua, 3880
Fundraising Percentage
: 25Should display:
Location: Pukeatua, 3880
Fundraising Percentage: 25I am sure if there is a conflict or the css just needs updating but if you could offer any advice that would be great.
Thank you,
Glenn

First off, you had set a page as your posts page from Settings > Reading. That overrides the blog template. It needs to be left blank.
As for your Visit page, rather than adding your posts as a link in the visual editor widget, I would suggest creating categories for your specific posts, then adding your posts via shortcode like this:[blog_posts type="normal" items="1" cat="photos"]
Would that work for you?Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeDo you have a link to help us easily modify the WP Privacy Policy draft when we click “Create privacy policy” page related to GDPR process? I looked at your link (*Login to see link and thought you did a good job. Here is what I initially created with automatic wording included to start with. It is really wordy and would like it simpler. I realize the wording all depends on the site’s functions. But any input welcomed before I start this with all my sites. Thanks much.

http://celebratingyourjourney.com/test/ (Since every page on this site uses Site Origin already prior to problem, I created a new page to test to convert to Page Builder. And the same problem Page Builder not working and reverting back to Visual Editor happened. And Kadence Themes Virtue Shortcode-Table isn’t functioning right also after Site Origin and Kadence Theme updates. Just guessing there may be connection between the two since the problems happened at the same time after updates; but not certain.)I am about to start on a new site using Ascend Premium but have not activated Site Origin-Page Builder yet. Waiting to solve problem with all other sites. Your help much appreciated.
PS. I did deactivate Jetpack on mychoiceconnection.com but Page Builder still didn’t work; nor did Virtue Shortcode-Tables. Other shortcodes worked.
With the latest Site Origin update, can’t convert a page to Page Builder. Also the Virtue Shortcode for that page isn’t working properly since Page Builder update. I can’t get into the table fields or rows to paste content. But column shortcode works as a work around for now. Some forum say it may be a Jetpack/Site Origin problem. Everything has worked well for the past many years until today. Sent same message to Site Origin forum. Need your help ASAP. Thanks much.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Footer Menu Sub Items
Hello all,
I have checked to have the primary menu show on the footer as a footer menu and I notice that the sub-menu items are as drop down in the primary menu, but in the footer menu they are opened and spread out.Is there something I can do to make them look like regular sub-menu items – hidden until clicked on drop down arrow?

In forum: Membership ForumsDidn’t know if their updates would have any affect on your themes I use. Just wanted you to know as an FYI. Here’s their message:

Hello,Please read this email carefully as it contains actions items that need immediate attention from you.
As we continue to increase the security of our network, it has become necessary for us to force the upgrades of many scripts. Many of these outdated scripts create vulnerabilities that can be avoided.
Beginning on May 30, 2018, we will begin the process of updating all scripts on our shared server environment. Any scripts that were installed using Softaculous will naturally be updated. Any scripts that were installed manually will be imported into Softaculous and managed through that interface.
What does this mean for you? You will want to make sure you have backups of your site’s files, content and database. These backups should be downloaded and stored locally on your machine. Please do not store them on the server. Once your server is ready for updates, you will receive another email letting you know. We do not have a specific timeline for when your account will be updated.
Due to the nature of the updates that are needed, there will be no extensions granted. If you are unable to, or forget to create your own backups, our system does keep backups for 3-5 calendar days. Please understand that we will not restore your account to any date prior to the updates made. Any accessible backups will be zipped up and made available to you to download locally. We will not allow any rollbacks or restores to previous versions of the scripts you are using. These backups can be accessed through our Managed Shared Hosting program if you need them.
Should you need assistance in creating backups of your account, please email us at [email protected] with the subject: Need Assistance Creating Backups of My Account, or call us Mon-Fri 7:00am to 5:00pm Pacific time. We will be happy to help.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Full Width Home Page Widget
Hi there
I want to display the vimeo video at the top of the page and I understood the best way to do this was to use the home page widget area. However, I would like to display full-width on the page and remove the white padding between the top of the video and the navigation bar. Can you please advise what I need to do?
Thanks
Ali
In forum: Virtue ThemeOver the years I have used One-Click Child Theme plugin (*Login to see link with VPremium as parent theme.
This plugin is no longer maintained with newer WP versions. So, I won’t be using it any longer. I assume I will need to deactivate plugin and child-theme I created with it. Don’t know what steps will be needed for disconnecting from that plugin and child theme I created without losing anything. Not certain what I am dealing with on this. This is a new learning curve for me.
Do you see any problems surfacing staying with it? Lately I have been getting server recognition error message within admin when opening a page or post. I close it and it then works ok until the next time I am in the admin site. This is the site http://www.celebratingyourjourney.com.
With another site, http://www.mychoiceconnection.com, I routinely get a message “too many log in tries, locked for 24 hours” for users. The site used to have a subscriber log in feature but was deleted quite awhile ago. Don’t know why I am getting that error.
Anything to do with using that plugin??? Thanks for any help you can provide.
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Different blog entry formats
Hey,
Are you using a plugin to add the posts to the page? It doesn’t appear that those posts are being output by the theme and instead are being put there by an embedded content plugin. If adding with a plugin, perhaps the post summary is set in the plugin settings?
If it’s being controlled by the theme, you should be able to control the default blog summary in Theme Options> Blog Settings, under “Blog Post Defaults Standard.” Set “Standard Blog Post Summary Default” to Portrait Image. This can also be set in the individual post settings.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Different blog entry formats
I’m rather confused by something I’m seeing and (unfortunately) my client isn’t liking. I embed 2 different blog posts on THIS PAGE to create a preview using some of the post text and the featured image. The images are relatively close in size, the blog settings are the same, but one summary displays the post title followed by a thumbnail and some text. The second entry leads with a much larger image, then the post title followed by some of the text. If there’s something about the posts themselves that’s causing these different displays, I can’t figure it out.
I’d like to get everything displaying the same and, preferably, like the first instance above where the title appears before the image. I don’t even care if the image is larger instead of a thumbnail, I actually like the larger image, but my client likes having the post title appear first.
As always, any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated. I’ve always used your themes for pages and have only recently delved into posts, so I have much to learn!
In forum: Virtue ThemeMay 25, 2018 at 12:29 pm #191224Hi
Since the latest Windows Update, the page builder my home page shows off in MS Edge on desktop when in max size browser window. Half of it is missing and my optin form (Convertkit) is not showing. When reducing to mobile version, the pagebuilder looks ok again for a bit and the optin form shows, until reducing more and more (don’t know how to assess the size for you) then the page builder is still ok but then the logo image in the site logo top left shows missing.
The pagebuilder issue doens’t happen in Chrome and Firefox but the site logo image going missing too when reducing to a certain size of mobile.
Hope this is clear. Do you have any ideas..? Can you reproduce the issue on your end?
Thanks!

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Google Gsuite Metatag
Hello, I am configuring Gsuite email, and they asked to paste a metatag on the <head> and <body> sections of the initial page. You used to have box for that somewhere in theme options, but apparently it’s not there. Do you know where I can paste this metatag?
Thank you,

May 25, 2018 at 9:10 am #191197Hi,
When you look at the menu with “Home” in it on the homepage, it is half blue color and half white (can I add screenprint?). So the menu text is not readable.
I will try disabling the plugins and this is in my CSS:
/*hoogte iconbox*/
.kad-icon-box {
min-height: 200px;
}/*kleur hyperlinks*/
a {color:#ff3300;}/*lettergrootte tekst variatie product*/
.single_variation {
font-size: 16px;
}/*breedte menutekst in footer*/
#containerfooter .menu li a {
max-width: 180px;
}/*uitlijning menu footer */
#containerfooter .menu {
margin: 0 0 0 0px;

*Login to see linkHi,
On my Home Page just above the Footer is the Carousel showing ‘Recent Blog Posts’ and I believe when a New Post is added to the Blog it replaces one in the Carousel because it is in Date Order?
There are two Posts in particular that I would like not to be replaced as I want these two particular posts to always show, is this possible?
Please advise, thank you.In forum: Virtue ThemeMay 25, 2018 at 5:47 am #191185All,
I just updated the Virtue theme to the latest version. Now the menu bar on the homepage is not correct. The menu is half blue and half white color, but it should be all blue. Can anybody help repairing this? See flyingdutchpets.com, homepage.Thanks.
