Well, I needed to create custom fields, so I used the plugin to add them to portfolio post type. Export was needed for real estate feed that only accepts correct xml file.

Hi Hannah,

Thanks for your message. Yes they all have a featured image and all the settings are also the same as far as i know. The link is http://www.a3architecten.com/nieuws/ (may take a few secs before its fully loaded). For example, the first post on the left doesn’t contain an image when i want to share it on LinkedIn, but the second post next to it does contain a image.

Hi There,

When i want to share a blog/news post from my website on my LinkedIn page by copying the URL link, i sometimes get a picture (which is included in the blog post) plus the titel of the post, which is what i want. But sometimes i also get a post without a picture and i don’t know why. All of the settings of the blog posts on the website are the same, and still sometimes when i want to share it on LinkedIn i get a picture with it and sometimes not. Does somebody maybe know why this is?

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your response. I have looked at 2 youtube videos. Please take a look at Youtube Duplicator WordPress Plugin Tutorial – Jan 2014 update, beginning at 13:30. I ask you to look at that because that is what I’ve used as the in structural basis for using Duplicator Pro. My point is that the information at that point is erroneous and perhaps it would help future users (Mac Users) to know that what is demonstrated there is not the case.

At the moment, I think Robert Riley from Snap Creek is in the process of deleting all the files on the test site up to the installer.php and the Zip file. I’ve just tried to test the file and I don’t get any response from the site. Perhaps I will send him an email and tell him about your email.

I will take you up on your offer to assign the menu — but we have to wait until I find out what in what part of the process Robert is. Now that everything is per support center posts, it isn’t to effectively communicate. But I guess it is more productive to do it this way.

In regards to the password login, I am assuming that the password from the local site is the password that the login is asking for?

2. Yes this is normal. I’ve done tons to sites with duplicator. You have to sign in to save permalinks.

If you know the password all you have to do is go to settings > permalinks. And save your permalinks.

3. I am only talking about your site that has the error. Once you create the duplicator there is no further connected. You have a whole new site not on the server.

If you would like I would be happy to login and assign the menu to the menu location for you. Just post the login using Set as private reply.

I don’t understand how you can’t login. You don’t need to save permalinks to login the wordpress admin is not something that permalinks effects. You should just login and save.

4. I bet I have moved over 100 sites with duplicator all sites using virtue or pinnacle. I’m still confused based on all your say as to where the issue is? wp-login.php is a file where you login your permalinks shouldn’t affect it.

You’re not using caching locally are you?

1. I don’t you can ask the plugin author if there is a way you can wrap that preorder text in a div or span tag so you can absolute position it.

2. This you would actually also need the plugin author for. The plugin doesn’t add a class to the posts classes that shows it’s an item on pre-order. so there is no way to target that button with css differently then the others.

You can’t using the testimonial grid page.

but you can add the testimonial shortcodes to a page with a sidebar or for example the sidebar template.
