Hey Kris.
The “lastest from the blog” is set in the home layout page of the theme options. You just need to add anything to the blog title box and it will replace the heading. As for removing the post data and author information. This isn’t a option yet, But it’s been requested enough that I’ll be adding an option to hide it in the next version. For now you can add this to your css.
.postauthortop {display: none;} .postdate {display:none;}Ben

October 5, 2013 at 10:45 am #767What are you trying to do with this new archive page?
If you want a page that shows posts you can use the blog template.

October 3, 2013 at 9:53 pm #752I’m talking about the post summery option on post edit page. You have options to show a landscape slider or landscape image or portrait slider or portrait image. Look through the docs and it should make some sense.
The latest post module you enabled automatically sets the post summery to portrait image.

Yes I did.
I have set the featured image for every single post on thefront page.
Now, I have been playing with the theme options and I have added another module to the frontpage. Now it shows an image for all the post on that module but not on the module below/bog page.

October 3, 2013 at 8:56 pm #743Did you set a featured image for these posts?
Looking at the code it’s showing as if there wasn’t a featured image. Let me knowBen
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi
I am having a bit of a problem trying to find a way to have my existing posts with an image + summary on the frontpage and on the blog page. At the moment only the summary shows.
I have created a separate site to test this theme before I switch off the one in place at the moment. I have imported all the content from my main site.
I have to say that on most posts I have only one image.
Am I missing any step?
My test site is @ *Login to see link
and the main site, with the theme about to be switched off as soon as I master Virtue Premiumm is @ http://www.jpires.org.This issue might have an obvious solution but I am really stuck.
Kind regards,
JoseIn forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 3, 2013 at 2:02 pm #734Dear Ben,
I’m trying to create a single page that contains all possible information about my company.
Is there any way to put the contact form, map and staff members on the same page? As a shortcode for example?
I solved provisionally copying the html of a published staff post and pasting in a contact post.
Tanks again, and sorry for the broken an english.

Ben, hopefully only just one more thing I’m stuck on: logo size, as per this post:
https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/topic/logo-image-sizing/
I need the 50%-50%, I’ve tried to find it but no success.
Can’t give you access as it’s local
Can you tell me which files and where?

October 1, 2013 at 9:16 am #703Hey James,
I’m updating the theme today with a fix. So make sure you get version 1.5.2 (should be available in 15 min from this post). The update also gives you options for a sidebar on the home page 🙂
For now to make the link work just add ” to the end of it.
So like http://www.example.com”
And the link will automatically open in a new tab.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: [gallery] shortcode: can't change options
September 24, 2013 at 11:24 am #626Ok I see, you are trying to do it on the portfolio post. It wasn’t originally set up to work with the gallery since it was designed to be an image slider. I’ll update this to work.
Thanks for posting, expect it to be fixed this week.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: [gallery] shortcode: can't change options
I’m still learning how to launch the site so I can’t give you a link yet.
I took this screenshoot https://www.dropbox.com/s/lxet8cgn2rn7swj/portfolio%20post.jpgIn the content I put this:
[gallery size="thumbnail" columns="4"] And options: proyect layout:above proyect options:video (I put video so it doesn't show anything)As you can see I only have 2 columns and the size is too big. I would like to have the thumbnails displayed in horizontal lines and smaller. Something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w4vre1aof6yg2fc/new.jpg
In forum: Virtue ThemeFor example, inside a portfolio post, I want to put a few images so you can:
-open them into a lightbox.
-go from one to another using the arrows in the lightbox. This is supposed to be done with the shortcode [gallery columns="x" size="thumbnail" etc...]
The shorcode [gallery] works but you can’t change columns or size. I get the images displayed in a single column and they are too big.
Weird thing: only when I set columns=4 I can have 2 columns instead of 1.In the twenty-thirteen theme this shortcode works. Could you fix this?(feature request hehe) Or can you suggest me another way to do this lightbox from small thumnails in a portfolio thing?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Dropdown menu
September 13, 2013 at 3:12 am #511Dropdown Menu for products. You need to set up variations for your products. You can do that by following this tutorial:
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-variations/
To add text to your slider you can add captions to your flex slider by giving each slide a title and description then enabling captions. All done on your slider settings tab of theme options.
If you want to add them to a revolution slider you will need to set that up on the revolution slider plugin page.
To add wording or image below the slider take a look at your homepage setting in the theme options there you can enable things and create cool image menus or add recent posts to your home page.

September 9, 2013 at 4:58 pm #474Hey,
You just need to upload photos while editing your post. All photos uploaded in the edit post page are “assigned” to that post. The tutorial says to upload multiple images then select one as the featured. The key is uploading. You can’t use images previously uploaded. They must be uploaded when you are creating/editing the post.Hope that helps,
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Portfolio Image Slider
I am trying to post a new portfolio item with the image slider. I followed the tutorial on how to do this and I can create a new portfolio item with no issues when there is only one image. However when I want to make a portfolio item with more than one image I can not figure out where to insert the photos in the edit page. I would like it to look like this ( *Login to see link ) but I keep getting this ( *Login to see link ).
Where do i insert the photos in the post? In the tutorial section it said to insert multiple photos in the “featured image”, however the featured image section only allows me to insert one photo.
Please help! Thank you! 🙂
