I have been talking with my host and the issue is becoming quite baffling. A server issue has been ruled out seeing as I can still access most of the rest of the website and there are no error logs on the server. I looked at the error logs for my website but I really have no idea what to look for. I had installed a caching plugin which was thought to be the problem but that has long since been removed and the issue of loading still persists. I am not trying to point the finger or anything but there has been the discovery of the loading issue being isolated to only pages or posts where I have placed the above shortcode or where the effected posts show up. I remove the shortcode and the page suddenly works again. By bringing it up here I only hope to rule out this possibility – however it seems clear. It also seems kind of crazy that an innocent little code that works along with an already perfectly working theme could be conflicting somehow.

It won’t load but there might be some way to look into the page?

Thank you for your answer ! Indeed, my max upload size is smaller then 5mb (actually it’s 3mb). I changed the
1 – post_max_size
2 – upload_max_filesize
3 – memory_limit

And it works ! Thanks a lot ! 🙂

In your edit post page you should see a Discussions tab with an Allow Comments check box. If you don’t see this you may need to select it from the Screen Options tab on the top right of the page.

Thanks for clearing that up – it seems that what I wanted is way easier than I thought it would be. I managed to see the icons for a few minutes before something else went wrong with my site – the blog grid that they are being pulled from no longer shows all the posts that are categorized under it and a smaller link to the same page shows up where it really shouldn’t.

The grey icon isn’t even a post and seems to be preventing the rest of the posts from showing up:

Hi Kadence themes,

I’m having a really hard time getting the comment box off my post pages.

I’ve turned off all discussion settings related to comments.
I also don’t have an option under “post options” for editing whether the comment box appears or not.

Also- I cannot remove the Blog title on the Homepage set in “Home Layout” under the Theme Options.

I am not sure if this is related, or should be a separate support post but I am getting this error message : “Your theme (Virtue – Premium) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.” I am using Virtue – Premium Version: 3.4.5

I don’t understand how this shortcode is supposed to work. It shows up blank when I add it do my post and it does not seem to bring in any specific category. I also want to be able to change the image border and background colors.

I was hoping my next post to you would be the last, but Houston we have a problem.

I removed the woo commerce folder, found the woocommerce-customizer met my needs. All I had to do was convert the External Affiliate products to Simple. Everything was going great and I was about half way through the changes to products when I decided to call it a night. I noticed there was an update to Virtue Premium, so I went and updated it. Poof, the theme vanished. It appears the Virtue Premium is no longer available on my themes screen. The Virtue Child is still there. At the bottom I see:

Broken Themes

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

Name Description
virtue_premium Stylesheet is missing. Delete

This seems like a repeat of the problem I had a couple of days ago, I did a manual update of Virtue_Premium and was good to go. Should I repeat this?
