    For the post that you linked to, I would suggest adding your gallery via the “Add Media” option, then you can place it wherever you want via shortcode in your portfolio post’s text editor.

    how did you go about adding the gallery for that page?

    What kind of styling are you going for? From the individual post edit pages you should see Post Options that allow for some individual styling. Are you wanting more? If so, please explain.

    Hi Hannah,

    I though the video post would should an image automatically (i.e. no featured post). It did this before, like here for You tube example on the Virtue Theme (at bottom): http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-4/. Is there a setting to show the images I need to set.

    As I noted, the site is not live yet, still on local PC for development.

    Hi John,
    Yes, I would suggest manually updating. See here- https://www.kadencewp.com/manually-updating-a-theme/
    As for speed and performance, see this post- https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/
    If you’re using the latest version of the theme and woocoommerce you shouldn’t be seeing that notice in your admin.
    A child theme is only necessary if you plan to edit the theme files. If you’re just adding basic css you can do this straight from your custom css box in Theme Options and it will all be saved upon updating.

    Hello, I know portfolio is not designed to have a sidebar menu, but I needed one.

    I used code posted by Ben in the past which works well except I need to modify it a little.

    1/ I need to decrease the sidebar menu font size of portfolio articles, smaller than portfolio type menu font size.
    2/ I need to not show the sidebar menu on the home page.

    Hi Ben,

    I can’t find any section within Virtue Premium where I can style each single post individually.

    Can you please let me know if there are any options available in Virtue Premium?

    If not, are you aware of any good plugin? I looked at some plugins but they are not good enough.

    I guess I could add my own css code for each post to custom css section under advanced settings but I would need some help from you what selectors to use for each post.

    Hello Ben,
    I’ve corresponded with you recently under another string about updating my VIRTUE CHILD theme (Version 1) , and you replied as follows:

    “John and Diego,
    Please do not post in a resolved topic.
    Version 3.5.1 is available in your site admin as an update. It will be in your account page later today.
    Ben”

    The 3.5.1 did not surface in my site theme admin page, but when I did try to activate VIRTUE PREMIUM (non child) my screen went blank. To get through that, I contacted my host GoDaddy to check permissions and file ownership. All checked out okay. The only way for me to gain access once again to my site theme admin was for GoDaddy at their end activate another random theme 2015.

    That’s where things stand. I can now get into the themes admin page, and 2015 is active. I now ask you once again how to update my theme. Should I take the manual approach that you outline in the link that appears in this forum… Redownloading the theme from your support site and re-activating?

    The bigger picture is I’m trying to improve performance, my theme is so blasted slow right now, and I know that some Woocommerce templates are not intact as I saw this message on my dashboard when my Virtue Child was active:

    “Your theme (Virtue – Premium Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.”

    One final question that may make things easier for me…not using the Child theme, but going back to the NON Child theme. This may make it easier for me to update as well as making some minor changes here and there to my CSS. I can save this question for another thread if you like but it does pertain to this inquiry.

    Did an update to latest Virtue theme and broke my site (did not upload correctly). Now I have spent the day regenerating my site. Had a backup, so most of the data was recovered.

    But, now on the home page (static), the video posts do not have an image. They link to the post page and video is there. So what should I check for? Note this is on development site currently.

    In the portfolio post settings. You should see a “project layout” options. There just change to “three rows”

    Hey Guys,

    I recently bought WMPL. I set it up so that I can have separate pages for each translation of the content I need.

    I then looked into Loco translate and have installed this on my website – which to be honest I can’t see what this does. Is this plugin supposed to be able to translate the entire content on your website or just parts of the theme and plugin? How do you link the loco translation to the wmpl – is there a guide on this because I couldn’t get the two plugins to talk to each other?

    After they are linked and I still required to manually translate all the content on pages, posts and media in wmpl? or can loco translation do this as well?

    “I am assuming that it updates with the next full Virtue theme update?” – Correct, That comes out monday.

    You can ask support questions here. I would be happy to take a look, I’m not seeing any hover issues with the current (although there are many settings) can you post a link with what your working with?
