No doesn’t matter if you have content or not.

I tested with exactly what I posted here and it works..

Let me clarify because in your subject you wrote permalinks for posts… But did you actually mean pages? Because thats totally different and you would set a fixed item by giving a page a parent page not by using the permalink settings.

Portfolio is a good way to show projects or items in your portfolio. Say you are a graphic designer and you want to show your work (portfolio). Then you can use the portfolio posts as a way to do that.

Perhaps the best question would be what are you wanting to show on your site?

Hey,
If you only want products to show in the search then you would have to use the woocommerce search widget. Which would use your shop settings for how to display. I can help you show the short description in the shop display if you post a link.

I understand galleries, posts and excerpts, but when do you use a portfolio instead of a plain old gallery.

Hi Ben and Hannah, how do I remove the (blog?) block text and side bar on the ‘Search Results’ page? I read a few other posts in the forum pertaining, but it didn’t help me. I tried the product ‘search’ only and it took it out of the catalog. Am I in the wrong place.

Would like for the results to reflect just the product and description.

Where do I find these settings?

I appreciate your expertise.

Hey Erol,
Can you post a link so I can see where the padding is coming from?
Try using this to remove the title instead of Ben’s css:

.tax-product_cat h1.page-title {
    display: none;
}

There isn’t a built in option to add an image. I think the Kadence Slider is your best bet.

I don’t think so. The only things that are active in Jetpack is protect, site stats, sharing, publicize, and enhanced distribution. I assume the comments link on left independent of jetpack and under staff link came with your theme. Another mystery to solve….

Choosing a parent page only has to do with navigation not what is shown on the grid page.

Can you post a link to the page where you are using the portfolio grid page template?

I do have in settings for anyone to register and allow for posting and comments with moderator option. However, when they register, they do so via WP and get a [email protected] please confirm email. When they log in to website via WP log in, they are sent to their dashboard where they see profile link, site activity, wordpress news, etc.

I think the clients would prefer to have their own register/log in page something like what Kadence has in one of your virtue premium examples. And hopefully after registration, they will be listed either under users as subscribers or some other database my account/subscriber list. They will also hopefully be sent to their account page to complete their profile, save, and sent to website homepage to start comments/postings.

Any ideas on what I need to do with existing options or another plug in? Or have I missed something again here?

PS FYI. My clients don’t want to have membership levels or ecommerce right now.

To be clear, it is only on the blog main page that the pencil image (where a feature image would go) that we can’t get rid of. It is the page I set up that you land on when you go to the blog main page. Once you are on the actual blog post, there is no feature image which is as we want it.

Yeah a login with password. You can make one that you then can delete later.

Based on what your saying it’s like you are not clearing your caching? your using s3 total cache are you clearing it after every change?

I just checked and I don’t get this happening looked on two devices If there is an issue with the css it would be that it’s not loading. What version of windows are you using?

You can add css in your theme options > advanced settings.
