Hello Ben and Hannah. I posted in this thread because I had somewhat of a similar request. I would like to know if there is any way to overlap pagebuilder rows or to overlap a slider to create an effect like the one seen here http://digitalreachopm.com or here http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/46632.html
I know there might be a workaround for having maybe a row just below a slider but maybe making the padding negative to bring it up onto the slider halfway or something like that. Let me know.

Hi Sharon,
From your testimonial post edit page you can insert a read more tag where you want the summary to end from the visual editor toggle.

On the Recent Posts section at the bottom the excerpts are showing two read more links at the end. Any ideas how to correct that?

hum…seems to somehow be JS related, the Kadence Theme Options interface also isn’t working on the sites that the posts can’t be edited. 🙁

Hi,

I’ve changed from the virtue premium theme to the pinnacle premium theme, because i’ve wanted a transparent header over a fullscreen slider.

Now i have the following problem.
The aspect ratio of the thumbnails of the image gallery in my video-portfolio-post changed from 16:9 to 1:1.
I couldn’t find out a way to change the aspect ratio of the pictures.
Only solution is to change back the theme…

Gallery is created via “add media” –> “create gallery” –> insert gallery.

Hope that someone can help me.

Hi Ben,

This is not a Virtue theme problem but I’m stumped and thought you may have a direction to point me in. I have a couple different wordpress sites (6) including 2 test sites and have a problem where 4 of them (as of this morning) can’t have their posts edited using one of my computers — a Windows 8.1 computer. I have another computer but since I have users who only use 8.windows , this may be a problem. I thought it was a problem with the computer only until I realized that I could edit things just fine in 2 of the sites using that 8.1 computer. Unfortunately my users are primarily on one of the sites that can’t be edited in Windows 8.1.

So, now I’m looking at “what’s different” and all sites use the same wp install but it is not a multisite install. All sites have their own plugins (do not share) and own databases (given). There’s no common overlap in terms of ssl vs no ssl and I’ve run through the plugins (one site down to nada and still aproblem) All sites can be edited using a different computer (Linux, and windows 7 in VMware, as well as on a Raspberry pi) but only two of the six can be edited using the Windows 8.1 machine.

I can create new posts on the problem sites with the 8.1 computer but once they’re saved they cannot be edited in the 8.1 machine. Also weird, all editing tools are not there or functioning when I bring up the existing post to edit and the page builder tab doesn’t show up even on new posts, on editing the tags don’t show up, can’t get the drop down menu on the post edit page to edit the time of a post.

I really appreciate your assistance if you can point me in a direction that might be a good starting place. I really don’t see the obvious link. And I really don’t know much about windows 8.1 which I suspect to be the problem. Thanks so much! for any assistance you can provide.

That shouldn’t show like that and doesn’t show for me on the demo. or for woocommerce sites in general. Can you post a link to this page?

Hey,
When a topic is marked as resolved you should start a new one posting in one that we see is marked resolved often means we don’t open it and it’s overlooked.

Did you contact your host as I suggested above?

The issue is all your host. You are on an old version of php, your max memory setting is really low in your php and the servers response time is awful.

I really suggest contacting them to fix or moving hosts.

Thanks for the reply.

I used updraft to clone from my test development site to permanent site home.

If I remove that folder, will it impact the rest of my site?? Kind of a wordpress noob. It’s a woocommerce site, it’s live and it is taking orders.

I was trying to install a child theme plugin and that’s when I got the error that I had posted.

Hey,
You would need to set the pages to use the blog grid template. On your home page you need to set that in the theme options > home layout.. All the way at the bottom. set the grid to two columns.

It’s not possible to make those images not square when they are posted in the summary like that.

1. “the shop page doesn’t work properly, i can’t add products to the cart” – Can you post a link? I would be happy to take a look. You can see in the demo of the premium theme that this isn’t an issue so my guess would be there is a setting or plugin causing your problem.

2. “The accounts page doesn’t show an option to register a new customer” – that is actually a setting within woocommerce, not the theme. You just need to look at your account settings in woocommerce and make sure registration is turned on for the my-account page.
