In forum: Pinnacle ThemeSOLVED:
1- In the individual staff post, I left the body text as above<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><br />123-456-7890 X 201plus other long text and images but added text in a custom excerpt (in the box called EXCERPT), text that I want to only show on the all staff page.
2- I was able to put limit_content=”true” in the staff shortcode, for my custom excerpt to show.
[staff_posts orderby="rand" columns="3" items="10" cat="our-consultants" ratio="portrait" masonry="false" limit_content="true" link="true"]
I knew the theme allowed for it, just a matter of knowing how!
Thanks. In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio not displaying after theme update
May 16, 2016 at 11:06 am #95170Hey,
I’m seeing an issue with this post: http://www.aarrisatepa.com/new_site/portfolio/cu_ruggles/Seems at least one image (the second) isn’t loading? can you look at that?
Ben
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeI’m using Pinnacle Premium. When I create a new blog post Pinnacle inserts the default Pinnacle page header background image on the post page and I have to scroll down every time to change the image to my desired image.
I’ve looked everywhere but can’t figure out how to change the default post header background image. It’s a bit confusing because on the post page itself the setting for the header background is called “Background Image” but if I go to Theme Options > Advanced Styling, the only option I have is “Post and Page Content area Background” which inserts a default image in the page body, not the header area.
Help please?
Thanks,
Charlie
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTo add to the above question: Whether using Staff Grid Template or Default Template with Staff shortcode, the same difficulty exist when Use Staff Excerpt or limit_content=”true” are selected: the text tags and attributes in the text body section of the indiviual staff post is not taken into account (does not consider the <a href …, the <br /… , etc).

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeExcellent. One small detail to resolve.
To make it the way I wanted, i.e. the image and under it, the name, title, clickable e-mail and telephone, all on different lines:
1- In the individual staff post, I inserted a Feature Image, typed in a title, and in the body text in text mode (not visual), no image was inserted, just typed:
<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><br />123-456-7890 X 201
(if I was not to put a feature image and insert an image in the body text instead, the image would appear below the name and title)
2- I tweak the staff shortcode a bit as follow:
[staff_posts orderby="rand" columns="3" items="10" cat="our-consultants" ratio="portrait" masonry="false" limit_content="false" link="true"]
-> masonry in order not to crop my feature image,
-> link=”true” if I want to open a page with more detail on the employee.
TO SOLVE: The only way I could make the email linkable and to accept the <br /> as per the text typed in the individual staff post, was to add: limit_content=”false”. But if I have a lot of text in that employee individual post, I do not want to show it all on the all staff page.
How can I make the email clickable (and to accept the <br />) without showing all the content on the all staff page?In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Slider revolution post-based
May 16, 2016 at 9:45 am #95145the theme has a built in slider option for this so you don’t need to create 30 rev sliders but if your wanting to use the revslider then yes you would need to create a new one for each post.

May 16, 2016 at 9:40 am #95143Hey,
You have 6 portfolio post from what I can see? Two of them don’t have a featured image set? So that’s why you can only see 4 posts. You have to set a featured image for each post. You have set the columns to 3 but you are using the “fullwidth” layout which pulls the items into a larger format on larger screens meaning on a laptop it would be three columns but on a large screen could be up to 5 columns.
So that should explain what your seeing.

May 15, 2016 at 3:52 pm #95091Hey,
Using post based it’s going to pull from all the post of that post type. It’s not something you can stick into each post and it would pull that posts image. You would have to make a specific post based for that type of slider.Ben

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeMay 15, 2016 at 3:38 pm #95085Hey,
You would have to use a normal page then add the staff with shortcodes. like this:Our consultants: [staff_posts columns="3" items="3" cat="our-consultants"] Administration: [staff_posts columns="3" items="3" cat="administration"] Marketing Team: [staff_posts columns="3" items="3" cat="marketing-team"]Ben

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Slider revolution post-based
Hi Kadence!
I don’t know if you can help me with this problem, but I try here!
I installed the plugin Slider Revolution (who comes with the premium theme) and tried to create a post-based slider.
I made one based on my portfolio categories. The source of the image is set on “featured image”.But when I install the slider in my portfolio post, all my different pages have the same image in the revolution slider!
Yet, each post has its own different featured image. I don’t understand how to modify my slider for each portfolio post.Let me know if it’s not clear!

May 15, 2016 at 2:23 pm #95055I don’t want to have to change for each product.
If you click to create a product then by default the setting is on default for each product so it would use the theme options. If you changed that away from default (which I can see that you have done this for every product) then your overriding your default settings (the options set in your theme options).
Because of this (and again want to make it clear you did this). You have to now change every product if you want them to be full with.
See this image:

My guess is you changed one then use duplicate product for all your products?
Here is how that setting should be:

May 15, 2016 at 2:11 pm #95050The image size for the widget isn’t something you can override. You would need to use a child theme to create your own widget.
One option with this would be to hide the default iamge output then just add your image into the content of the post.
