Hi,

I did post this on the worpdress forum but I purchased the premium version of Virtue today so thought I would make use of the support here.

My site is LILO DESIGNS and I really want my main menu to span the width of the page – i found code on here to get the sub menu to do this but after trying for the best part of the afternoon to find code or use the inspector to pick the right inspector nothing works. One thing that does work is creating negative margins which then messes up the sub menu. Or changing the container width which messes up everything else!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

Please a little help again, it might not be theme related, but I’ve tried everything found from the forums … Posts show in the first page using latest blog post as layout, but not in the Blog page. I’ve set static pages *Login to see link as posts page from Settings->Reading and Home as front page ….

Hi Ben,

Sorry for my late answer.
I tried to deactivate all plugins after that reactivated one by one.
Everything work properly before activate Yoast SEO and TinyMCE Widget.
Separately TinyMCE Widget without activated Yoast SEO work fine.
When activated both and gives an error.

Test with both plugins and Virtue 3.6.1, because version 3.5.9 working correctly

Every another page, post, single product, etc. work correctly. The problem is only in product category.

I used:
WordPress version 4.5.1
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget Version 2.2.9
Yoast SEO Version 3.2.3
Virtue – PremiumVersion: 3.6.1

Hey,
So your issue has to do with adding everything within shortcodes. Because of how wordpress looks at shortcodes the text isn’t used in the excerpt and thus no text is found.

You can either set a custom excerpt for each post. Or in your child theme you could add something like this:

add_filter( 'get_the_excerpt', 'shortcodetext_in_excerpt' );
function shortcodetext_in_excerpt( $excerpt ) {
    $more = ' <a href="'. get_permalink( get_the_ID() ) . '">more...</a>';
    $content = wp_trim_words( get_the_content(), 50, $more );
    return preg_replace( '/[[^]]+]/', '', $content );

Hey! Neither link you posted is displaying an image. The first one is giving a permissions error and the second link is displaying a broken image.

Also make sure you have not set a page to be the “posts” page in your settings > reading. As that would override the template.

After testing these plugins again, I found the issued plugin is Yuzo – Related Posts, however how can I use it without causing the wrong effect of display?
