In reply to: How to set up CSS code float to each row
November 30, 2016 at 10:27 am #123513You don’t need any css. Go to edit row. click on “layout” in the right sidebar and scroll down to the “collapse order”
Set it to right on top.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Fancy filter for custom post types
Hi Andreas,
There isn’t an option to use the portfolio filter for blog posts. One workaround would be to create a menu (appearance > menus) and add your categories then using the custom menu widget to add it to a sidebar on your blog page. Would that work for you?Hannah

Hey Ben,
you are a genius! Indeed I forgot to clear the query. Which also makes sense, given I was using a “special” sidebar on the website it wasn’t working on and the primary sidebar on the other one. Thanks a lot!
I’ll give the sidebar thing a go soon and if I run into problems, I would contact you again. But first I’ll do some research and have a look at your kadence_sidebar_display function and kadence_sidebar_id_function.
Thanks once again!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: widgets not editable
Hey Magda,
I’m not seeing a sidebar assigned to that page. Be sure you’re assigning one in the page edit screen for that page.
You can create new sidebars in Theme Options> Misc Settings.
Also, you can add and remove widgets to any sidebar in Appearance> widgets. Are you making changes there and not seeing them reflected on your site?-Kevin

November 28, 2016 at 5:58 pm #123247Hey,
just change the css to:@media (min-width: 992px) { aside#ktsidebar { width: 35%; } .main.col-lg-9.col-md-8 { width: 65%; } }in terms of the “latest from the blog” that is enabled in your theme options > home layout. Just move that to disabled.

November 28, 2016 at 11:38 am #123165Hey,
It’s possible the shortcode isn’t clearing the query back to the original page query and therefore when the theme searches for what sidebar to show it’s seeing the page as the custom post type query and not as the page. Hard to know without seeing some code. But if your “primary sidebar” widget area doesn’t have any widgets or if it only has widgets that show on certain pages that would make sense. If you can send me a temp login to your site I would be happy to take a look.In terms of adding a meta box for your sidebar options on a custom post type you would just register the meta boxes then add a filter on the kadence_sidebar_display function and kadence_sidebar_id function
I can help further if you need some examples.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello Jean,
You should be able to replicate or get very close using this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-products-filter/faq/The built in product filter is designed differently, and not intended to display within the sidebar like this plugin.
Be sure to read through all of the plugin documentation and let me know if this solution works for you.

Hello,
I need some help. I would like to resize my primary sidebar. How to have it much bigger than i have right now. My website:
http://www.makemoneyonlinegossips.com
Can you show me how to handel with that please.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.

Hello Kevin,
The plugin creates a custom post type and delivers a couple shortcodes to display the post type. The problem is on the [course_site] shortcode, which displays next courses (sorted by date etc.), the post thumbnail, some further information and a enrollment form (via contactform 7).
I can’t see how anything should interfere with the theme, but you probably know better. If you want further details of the code, just tell me.
And anyway this is only a temporary solution, as soon as I have some more time, I’ll write a template for the custom post type and will not be needing this shortcode anymore. By the way is there a easy way to choose sidebars for custom post type templates? (I didn’t do research on it yet, so probably I should be able to figure it out on my own if it’s more than just a quick answer).

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Sidebar dropdown menu
Hi there,
I created a Secondary Menu that contains sub menus and I am trying to place it in the sidebar to work as vertical secondary menu. I added the custom menu widget in the sidebar. It displays the secondary menu in the sidebar but it does not show hover and drop down affects that I had customised in the theme. Please advise what to do.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Sidebar doesn't show
Hello,
I’ve written a plugin including some shortcodes, which I use on two websites, both running the Virtue theme.
Interestingly if I use the shortcode on one website, it doesn’t have any effect on the sidebar, but the other site doesn’t show the sidebar if I include the shortcode. But the sidebar appears as soon as I remove the shortcode.
Here’s the website with no problems:

Website 2Any ideas?
thank you

I would like to change the color of the title of the articles (ventes véhicules d’occasion et actualités) only in the footer (because the same 2 widgets are present in the sidebar and in the foot of the page).
I tried this but it does not work:
.footer-widget>#kadence_recent_posts-5>.widget-inner>.postclass a{
color: white;
}Thank you for your help !

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How to add scroll bar about the price range
Your screenshot isn’t properly hosted online so I can’t see it. You may want to use a service such as this so we can see the image:
postimg.orgWooCommerce does have it’s own price filter option though. You can add that to a sidebar via Appearance> Widgets. Simply assign the WooCommerce Price Filter area to the area that you’d like it to appear.
Does this help?
