In reply to: Sidebar on top in mobile.
May 22, 2016 at 4:45 pm #96042A sidebar is not intended to ever show above content on mobile. That would be making your sidebar more important then your content.
You would have to make a child theme to do something like this. (You can’t use css). Or you would need to make your page in page builder and add in your “sidebar” in a column of pagebuilder.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Main background transparency
May 21, 2016 at 12:37 pm #95952Hello I seem to be having cross browser issues.
In advanced styling I have the main content area set as transparent but I am using css to change a bit of the main content area (not sidebar) with coloured background. It works fine on firefox but chrome and IE not.
I’m using css to force style items on top of the main and the main itself. For example:
.main{height:100% !important;border-radius:25px !important;border:1px solid #9bbb58;background:#e6efe4 !important;}
.widget-inner {background:#cfd7cd !important;border-radius:5px;}
The problem is that when viewed in IE or chrome everything in the main content area is transparent. I hope that makes sense?
Any ideas on how I can get this to work please?
Thanks

Lately i install the child right after the main theme, so it’s there from the beginning.
I manage with all the others things, can you guide me on:
3. single product page – replace product photo with a slider (because i want to kill the thumbs)
5. single product page – move product tabs below ADD TO CART button (that would be really awesome looking)
…7. what is the propper way to add a filter on the shop page, i would filter for ex. by color attribute
– ideally on the same row as the sorting – sidebar is not an option on this pageThank you kindly,

May 19, 2016 at 11:15 am #95698It’s possible to control the position of Sidebar? No the sidebar is a sidebar it’so only one settings. You would need to use pagebuilder to do anything more custom where you would have items in different style columns throughout.
Ben
Hi,
1. I recently change the layout of my product pages to default, meaning no sidebar and full width. I see now that the text under the product title on each product page seems to go to far to the right and looks weird. I would like the text to not go past on where the color and size radio buttons are if that makes sense. How can I do that?
2. I’m really not a fan of how the product thumbnails appear, on some product there are 5 or more on one line and then 1 alone below, some have 9 all in one line, its all over the place. Is there anyway to clean this up so let’s say that we limit to 5 in a row and the others underneath. I really prefer to only how a few like 3 and have arrow on the left and right of them. Is there anyway to clean this up with css instead of a plugin. I have so many plugins I don’t want to add anymore.
3. I noticed that in the custom tabs section (thank you again for helping me with that, not sure why I could not wrap my head around setting it up properly:), my terms of sale does not appear with a title when you click on it, all other tabs do have titles when you click on them. How can I add a terms of sale title?
4. Can you please tell me how I can align the McAfee Secure log in the 3rd footer widget? I have tried different size etc., with no luck.
I still have not figured out the about page visual editor but will try again before I ask you for more help with that. I should be able to figure it out I have used several similar tools for others sites without issues.
I was searching for answers to some of my questions in the forum and noticed one of my posts that had my url etc. I am very weary of this being posted along with my username and passwords. Is there any way for you to add the private option when one is posting initially? It would make sense, like right now I can’t choose that and then I have to post and then reply in private?
Thanks

Yes, i understand now. It’s working.
Just one detail: it’s possible to have the Sidebar below posts?
I have a BlogPhotoGrid template, with Fullwidth – Span Screen Size activated.
If i show the Sidebar in the side, i will not have that configuration (make sense…).It’s possible to control the position of Sidebar?
One possibility is to use widgets Footer Colunm 1, 2 and 3, but i’m using that for Footer.
Home Widget Area works only in HomePage.Thank you,

May 18, 2016 at 5:46 pm #95596The blog page template has options. once you save the page you can set a sidebar. Just look through your page options below the content area.

If i don’t select any page a post page, when I choose any kind of blog page template, the Blog page is completely unformatted: without sidebar, giant Featured images, a lot’s of space between sections (Title, image, etc).
(But the header is good..)I remembered that probably I need to use more configurations in shortcode
[blog_posts orderby=date items=4 type=”normal” cat=photos]
I tried but not solved the issue. In forum: Virtue ThemeMay 18, 2016 at 2:17 pm #95575Hello,
MOBILE FORMATTING
1. How do I move my mobile menu to the top of the page (as opposed to under my logo)?
2. Is it possible to create a different sidebar for mobile?POST PREVIEWS (Desktop and Digital)
1. Is there anyway to preserve the paragraph/formatting in the previews? Everything runs together and is difficult to read
2. How do I change the formatting JUST for the Similar Post suggestions that appear at the end of blog posts (I want to keep the preview formatting the same everywhere else). Specifically, I would like to remove the datesThank you for your help.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Sidebar custom menu
Hey,
You can use the accordion shortcode. See here- http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/
So you would just use the visual editor widget in your sidebar then in the virtue shortcodes tab select accordion.
Hope that helps!Hannah

May 16, 2016 at 5:31 am #95127Hi Ben,
The problem was coming from 1 product (out of 8) where I added a cyclone slider. Apparently there was a problem with the slider. I removed it, and the products showed in the category “Spices”.
I am still struggling with “Categories” showing on a sidebar. Do yo have any video on this? I can’t figure out how to do this on my site: atouchofprovence.com.
I want to show all my categories or a drop down of categories. I can’t.
Jean-LouisIn forum: Virtue ThemeThank you, Ben! It works.
One more question – am I using the latest version of premium theme?
In my admin-panel there is no information about new updates of this theme.
My current version is 3.3.5
Does exist any custom css to have a sidebar on the left side without updating the theme and without breaking my site on mobile? In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Make Product Page Full Width Like Demo
May 15, 2016 at 3:14 pm #95079by default all new products have a sidebar setting of “defualt”. You would have to manually change that on each product to get something different.
While editing a product please scroll down till you see the “product sidebar options”. If you don’t see that make sure they are checked in you “screen options” on the top of the page.
You need to manually make all of your products either default on no to know change becuase you manually have made them all have a sidebar.

I don’t deny I have done what I have done…but I never knowingly created duplicate products, I just would add a new product each time.
I know I have seen Product Sidebar Options but I can’t find them right now?
Is there anyway that you can direct me to change the settings so all the products can look the way I want them to without changing them individually right now?
if not how do I make the changes to each product? Then how can I reset the settings so all new products I create will automatically be the way I need them to be?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: css for different sidebar in category
May 15, 2016 at 2:36 pm #95061You can use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-visibility/
Then you can show and hide widgets in the sidebar based on the page they are on.
