In forum: Virtue ThemeDear all,
Please check: *Login to see link (development address)
The sidebar works fine in full screen mode.
If I change to mobile mode (or small screen) the links became broken at the dropdown menu.
Not Found - The requested URL /DonnaBella/wp/&product_cat=sopas was not found on this server.Any clue how to fix? The address seems to be right, the same for the full screen.
I’ve tried to go Settings-> Perma Links and set everything to standard (or others) and refreshed… nope.
PS: I just updated woocommerce, wordpress, etc.

August 17, 2015 at 11:49 pm #540491. You can have your shop page only show categories but the “filter” which is your categories at the top of the page will not work if there are no products to filter. It’s not a menu. It only filters what is on the page. You set what shows on the shop page in your woocommerce settings > products > display.
2. in your theme options > misc settings. You have turned the lightbox off.. turn it back on. You need it and your issue will be fixed.
Also it’s best to add your gallery as part of the product gallery area on the right sidebar of your product page right above where you set the featured image.
3. You can add a title in the image meta and it will show when you open the lightbox.
4. Sure in your theme options > home layout. Scroll down to the icon menu area and in each “icon menu item” you can set the icon, title, description, link.

August 17, 2015 at 9:18 am #53890Hey,
so the directory plugin your using is poorly coded. It falls apart on pagebuilder due to how the author set up the shortcode. It’s a good thing you’ve alerted him. Hopefully it will be fixed for later versions. For now I set you up with a shortcode method.
Your second sidebar in the widgets page is second sidebar.

August 17, 2015 at 1:38 am #53822Hey,
1. a sidebar menu is not designed or supposed to have any hidden part. It’s supposed to show all of the menu options including submenu items. If you want a parent menu to not have the option to be clicked then you need to add a custom link with an # as a link instead of adding a page to your menu.
2. With css. What are you wanting?
3. Using the “virtue shortcodes” Button. Then click youtube.
4. If you don’t plan on editing theme templates and you have no desire to create your own custom functions then you don’t need a child theme.

August 17, 2015 at 1:17 am #53813Hey,
You wrote “All I want to do is add a second sidebar.” And I want to make it clear. That is not an option in this theme. What we are suggesting is a workaround and a good workaround but still it’s important that you understand that. You have to use pagebuilder for this “work around” to work. So here is what I can do. Please send me a temp login to your site. I’ll set up the page for you then you can see how it’s done from there. If I can’t get your directory plugin to work with pagebuilder I can give you some shortcode help.
You can use “Set as private reply”

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: submenus and youtube videos
Hi guys,
I have few questions please :
1) now this is pretty basic but for some reason I can’t create submenus..
http://www.buba-shel-concert.com
As you can see my menu is located in the sidebar on row 3 I attempted to create submenus but it shows (other then dropdown) + I don’t wish the main button to work only the subs. (same menu and same problem in the footer 2nd item from the right)
(I’d moved the pages in the appearance menu section to their correct place, didn’t work)
2) How to create hover effect in the sidebar menu widget
3) Sometimes after my upgrading or after installing the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget or TinyMCE advanced the YouTube and Vimeo bottoms that has been in the page editor disappeared.. I did manage to use different technique and embeded videos but they are not responsive. what is the correct technique?
4) Just in general, should I create a child theme? everybody seem to need it for something..Thank you so much,

Hi Ben
Here is the page, and the screen shots. I’ve had to disable pagebuilder because it seems to mess up the css and the plugin.
All I want to do is add a second sidebar.Hannah suggested I use PageBuilder. But it’s not displaying the content of the shortcode in the content area correctly.
So in a nutshell
SHORTCODE working fine in normal Virtue Premium theme.
I need to add a second right hand sidebar. I need two side widget areas.
Hannah suggested I use pagebuilder to achieve that.
I installed pagebuilder and added the editor plugin that they suggest.
I installed and activated pagebuilder, selected a text editor box.
added the short code in the text editor, not the preview as usual.
It doesn’t show the normal shortcode display.
It misses css, and leaves out the google map.I’ve never used pagebuilder before. I really jsut need to add a second right sidebar and have it be responsive.
Please advise, this should work. I tried it in CANVAS woothemes, and it works there.
And it works in Virtue, just not in pagebuilder. If you could tell me how to add a second widget sidebar on the right that would solve my problem another way.
I made screenshots, here are all the links.
This is the site as it would appear with no pagebuilder, and one sidebar.
http://findadoctor.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/VIRTUE-PREMIUM_NO_pagebuilder.pngThis is what happens when I use pagebuilder.. Map disappears, css changes, columns disappear.
http://findadoctor.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/PAGEBUILDER-PROBLEMS-VIRTUE-THEME.pngI don’t want to have to change themes. I want to use VIRTUE, but need the second sidebar.
Hopefully its a small problem.

August 16, 2015 at 12:50 am #53716Hey, Can you post a link to a page that you’ve set up with pagebuilder. Having a column for the “second sidebar” and a column for your plugin shortcode?

In forum: Virtue ThemeHI Folks
I need to add a sidebar and Hannah suggested pagebuilder.
But when I add the shortcode for my plugin [businessdirectory]
it doesn’t install it correctly.I’m using the TINYMCE plugin that pagebuilder recommends.
I just need to add a second sidebar, so I have two sidebars. Sofar not working.

Ben I did that, it helped with the sidebar.
However I am still not finding how to set the header, to match the home page.
I love the extra features, just feel overwhelmed by them 🙂

I hope to god I am not acting like this:

August 14, 2015 at 4:37 pm #53589Hey,
First in your wordpress settings > reading. Make sure you do not select a page as your “post page”Leave that on select.
Second go to your theme options > blog settings. Set the default blog post summary to text.
Third go to the page you want to be your blog page. Select the blog page template and save the page.
You will see settings to turn off the sidebar and “page header” settings where you can add an image.
