In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Page Layout and Widget Styling
December 31, 2014 at 10:10 am #26430Hey,
You can go into the theme options > advanced styling. Select transparent for the content background and the header background. Scroll down to the body background and add your image. Now that gives you the background and your content will sit on top. You can add this css to add the white around your widgets and content:
.sidebar .widget { background: #fff; padding: 1px 5px; } .main { background: #fff; padding-top: 10px; }That should get you started.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Wrong Thumbnail Displayed Alongside Excerpt
December 28, 2014 at 7:30 pm #26218Hey,
Post excerpt images are not actually thumbnails they are created when needed depending on the page settings, like if you have a sidebar or not then it uses different size images. This is all to use the best sizes for the place it’s being used. This means you can’t edit the thumbnail image for the post excert. If you have a specific part of an image you want to show I recommend you upload your image as a square. Then when it’s resized it won’t be cropped.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI just converted my personal blog from Twenty Eleven theme that had a sidebar to Virtue Premium with full width posts.
New posts adopt the “Post Options -> Display Sidebar?” option of “Default” as “Full Width” but the old posts continue to believe there’s a sidebar when none exists. I can go into the old posts and force the “Display Sidebar?” option from “Default” to “No” to fix it but this isn’t ideal.
This isn’t a huge deal for me but I was curious to know if it’s a bug or that’s just the way it is.
Thanks for the insight & Happy New Year!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Sidebar border or color options?
The “#333” is the color and you can set to anything you’d like. You can check out this site for color codes- http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm So when you know what color you want just paste in the code beside background:
This will apply to all your sidebars.Hannah

December 22, 2014 at 8:49 am #258541. Types work like categories. Values are not tags. That are optional project details.
2. Yes you can use multiple types.
3. Products are a different posts type all together. So I’m not sure I understand.
4. The project option applies to how the top of your portfolio post will look, You can choose image then add videos below. Or choose none and set up the whole page. Be aware that portfolio posts don’t have a sidebar option.
5. Yes they are searchable.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi all
When I create a page with the blog template selected, I only have the amount of blogs in one page not in total. Is there a possibility to create a page with only 6 posts.
I know I can create a standard page with this in it [blog_posts items=”6″ orderby=”date” cat=”news”], but that does not have the nice 1 row and picture on the left side layout.
It’s actually more to it. I can not restrict the categorie … If I restrict it to news I get all. If I then select news from the sidebar I get my 6 news. Could there be a mistake in the template from virtue premium? I use the version 2.7.6.Thanks Roland

In forum: Virtue ThemeBen,
Is there a way to do a child them with the sidebar page template so I can have a sidebar before the page content and the normal sidebar after the page content?
For example I am currently using the subtitle box to for some content on my page, but it does not have the wsywig editor so I want to use a sidebar with the visual editor widget. But I am using the sidebar position for another item.
Thanks
Jeremy
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: pagination in mobile no longer works after upgrade
December 17, 2014 at 11:37 am #25492Hey,
you have this css in your custom css box:#content .main { float: right; }You should remove it. It would cause issues on mobile.
If you where wanting to have a sidebar on the left of certain pages then you would need to use the css referenced here:
https://www.kadencewp.com/frequently-asked-questions/If removing your css doesn’t fix all the issues your having let me know.

December 16, 2014 at 11:02 pm #25441The widget your using creates a select box which is different then a menu item in your header. You can use a menu that is displayed in a list or look for a plugin that has a widget for what your asking. I can’t say i’ve seen any for a sidebar. Mostly I see lists.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: variable product add to cart problem
December 16, 2014 at 4:55 pm #25418hmm, wait interesting. Your using a left sidebar but not the code we recomend. That is most likey your issue. along with qtranslate..
Check this: https://www.kadencewp.com/frequently-asked-questions/The code you should use for a left sidebar is:
@media (min-width: 992px) { body .main.col-lg-9 {float:right;} }You just have a float left on main. Which is can cause clearing issues.

Thanks Ben,
We’ve tracked it down to a problem with the qtranslate plugins for Woocommerce. It only seems to affect Android devices (as far as we can) and only those pages that have a left-sidebar!
Looks like we need a different translation plugin for Woocommerce.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Menu items not all displayed
I went in menus, selected the menu and ticked the Use large menu > columns 4. You can see it in Categories at http://www.laplandinteractive.com/ BUT it works only at first level. I’d like to have only the items longer like NORWAY to be in 3 or 4 columns not the Interactive Areas, otherwise it looks ugly and confused.
Maybe, I pretend too much from wp??? But I’m sure there must be a way to show all items in smooth way without sidebars
Thanks
