Do I need to be using a child theme in order to utilize Adsense. I am trying to add the code to a widget in the sidebar, but it doesn’t look like the space is being converted. I tried using multiple sizes too but that doesn’t seem to help. Do I have to alter the php?

The portrait is a 3:4 ratio a 300×1000 image is a 3×10 ratio.
I suggest resizing your image to be a different ratio even if that means adding some white to the sides.

For example if you wanted to use a 3×10 ratio the visible width of your image would be 197px to fit a four column layout with a sidebar. And the height would be 657px.

Which means you image would be very very tall.

I’ve created testimonials for 3 people, and a testimonial page using the testimonial grid, and a testimonial carousel in my sidebar. My only problem is, for the life of me I can’t work out how to have the carousel show ‘read more’ and link through to the testimonial grid page. I’m using the child virtue theme. http://www.revatech.biz/real-estate-tools/.

Woocommerce automatically creates a “shop” page. You can select how many columns and if you want to use a sidebar in the theme options > shop settings.

The page is built with blog posts using the blog grid page template: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog-grid-two-column/

In the sidebar I have the virtue: recent posts widget twice and a category widget.

I’m not familiar with creating a affiliate store for amazon. But if either of the plugins you are using are adding them to your site as woocommerce products then you should be fine in regards to layout and adding a sidebar and category links.

As for the best plugin to use or best why to do it I can’t offer any advices as I’ve never done what your trying to do.

How are you harvesting from amazon? Are you adding to woocommerce and making affiliate products?

If you are using woocommerce products then it’s all built in as far as layout and adding a sidebar and menu. If you are just adding as html thats different.

Depends on where it is, it your using a page then your the sidebar page template: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#sidebarpage

You will have the options in the page meta to choose your sidebar.

Hi,

I’ve tried creating a custom sidebar in the “misc settings” of the premium theme. It works well on every page except for my “Blog” page. I’ve set the page template to blog, and set “display sidebar” to yes, and Selected my custom sidebar from the drop-down below that.

Every other page that I’ve set that sidebar to appear on works without a hitch but for some reason it refuses to appear on the blog page.

Any ideas?

I can change the color using advanced styling, but I want to give some images(texture), not just color change.

When uploading an image on body background, it shows up on both header and below the footer as well(why does footer goes up, not stick with the bottom? I haven’t added anything in the page yet. Is that why?).

What am I missing?

Hello, I’d like to move the sidebar on my home layout down several lines. I assume this needs to be done in CSS but I’m not sure of the code. Would I set top-marginp or the padding? Can anyone help?

Hi Ben,

I have an issue with my child theme. When I activate the virtu premium, the sidbar is shown. When I activate the child theme the sidebar is gone.

Any solution on this?
