Hey,
The filter is not a menu, can’t be used as a menu it only filters what is on the page. It doesn’t work to requery the site and pull in posts that are currently not on the page. You shouldn’t use if you have more then one page of portfolio posts for that you would need to use a menu so the query pulls in all posts of a certain type.

Hi Ben,

I hope you had a great weekend!

1. Just wondering if there is a way to add US or USD to the pricing in woocommerce?

2. I’m noticing the the shop page is not so smooth when it comes to scrolling from the top of the page it seems to lag or stutter all the time when I try to scroll down the page. I just checked it in safari and firefox and it seems okay now.

3. I added a plugin for social sharing. It is appearing when you hover of my logo and I don’t want that so the developer told me to add rel=”noshare” to the image tag. I can’t seem to find it within he wp admin area, so I looked in the wp-content for the site but did not want do something that would cause an issue. Is that where the logo image would be that I need to add the rel=”noshare” to?

4. I just noticed that between under the secondary menu and the top of the homepage slider image there is white space when you scroll down that was never there. How can I remove this and do you have any idea of what might of caused this? I don’t recall changing anything. Update, every page has this white space underneath the secondary menu. I must have done something &%$?!

Hi, I’m just starting to set up Woocommerce with my theme and have run into a few minor issues I’d appreciate your advice on:

1 – In Theme Options > Page Title, I’ve got ‘Show by Default’ switched off as I don’t use it anywhere on the site. Any normal pages I create therefore don’t show the title.

However, when I add a product to Woocommerce, if the setting in the ‘Post Title and Subtitle’ box (‘Hide Page Title’) is left at Default, a page title with the standard Pinnacle banner image of the mountains shows up. If I set it to hide it gets rid of it, but I would have thought that the default setting should make it hidden on product pages too?

This isn’t a huge deal but is there a way of ensuring product pages are created without a page title as default before I start adding a few hundred items in and have to select ‘Hide…’ from the drop down list every time?

2 – I’ve got ‘Sharing’ ticked at the bottom of the Edit Product page, but the ‘Share this’ buttons don’t appear on the published page. Is there another way to switch these on?

3 – The only way I want items to be added to the basket is when a customer clicks the big orange Add to Basket button on the product page. When you click on any image or link to the item I’d just like it to go to the product page, not add it to the basket. I’ve switched off ‘Hide Add to Cart Till Mouse Hover’ in Shop Settings which took the button off the thumbnails and seems to achieve what I’m after.

However, I noticed that with up-sell and cross-sell items if you click on them they get added right to the basket. Is there a way to disable that so that they are just links to the item instead? Or is there a different option that can be used to show links to related items on the product page?

Hi Ben,

Yes, I’m using 3.6.4 Virtue – Premium. Each site has their own topbar, icon menu, etc. Some are only using 1 or 2 items while others are using 5 or 6 each. I just did a count of all the subsites and we have a total of 30 (with more coming). The majority of the sites are using 5 or 6 items in the topbar and another 2 or 3 in the icon menus.

I would think that the max_input_vars of 5,000 would be sufficient?

Hey,
I clicked probably 20 different pages on your site and never got this error. If it happens again I would suggest deacitvating your plugins and clearing your cache. Let me know if you’re still getting this error after that.

I’m seeing a 500 internal server error on your site which could mean many things. My guess is it has to do with your php settings. I would suggest contacting your host and seeing if they have insight. Let me know if they can’t help.

It’s a full-width responsive setup with my header and menu directly underneath. I want utilize the parallax setting where the menu below “swallows” the image slider. The best example that I can provide is something like the 500px homepages: *Login to see link (not mine but an example). I’ve played around with just about every setting on the Revolution slider and cannot figure this out!

Hi Ben
Finally getting back to this situation.
I recently had the host add memory and increase the max input vars to 2000. Still having the problems with page builder. I cannot get any support from Site Origin without paying. (don’t get any ideas!)

Soooo I thought I just check back in to see if you have any advice on this problem. I love page builder but am going to stop using it because I find it’s also really slowing down the sites.

Hi, I have been getting the error below for last 10-13 days:

This site can’t be reached

The connection was reset.
Try:
Reloading the page
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

The frequency of the error is very random here is the recent one:
Number of pages: 25
Error Displayed: 7
Page # Error Showed:
1.5
2.9
3.11
4.12
5. 19
6. 22
7. 23

i have tried:

1. Diffrent browers,different computers,different networks,mobile devices and even different cities. same or similar error is shown everywhere i have also asked my clients if they were getting this error too and 95% said yes.
2. I have started ticket at my hosting and they say everything is fine at there end database,ssl and everything is working fine.
3. I tried disabling all the plugins and enabling one by one still nothing.
4. When i changed the theme and the error was gone, after reactivating the theme the error was back again, i also tried reinstalling the theme and it did not worked.

Hello Ben,

Indeed I use w3 total cache. I did what you suggested but it does not work. I even disable the plug in but no luck. I am running another site with Virtue – Premium and it works fine. The site is http://www.bailalma.com. As test I enabled “latest blog post” in the Homepage Layout Manager. I also compared the active plug ins between sites and the “issue” basically run half (and similar) of the plug of bailalma.com.

So I am really puzzle what it is blocking the content to show up on fabriziophotos.com

Hello Kevin,

When I added the shortcode it displayed the full blog post in the sidebar, minus the picture. I used the SiteOrigin editor widget.
