To do this you’re talking about a ton of code. You would need to create your own menu walker then call that in place of the current menu call.

I think it’s more likely there is an easier way to do this. Can you tell me more of what you’re trying to do and post a link to your site?

This could be a plugin issue or that your admin isn’t loading the site url like the front end.. maybe ssl? The urls have to match that of your site url.

Thank you for pointing out these issues.

I made some changes accordingly and decided to keep both the top bar menu and mobile navigation menu to keep things simple.

Your api just isn’t verified right? The api doesn’t have an effect on your current site. Everything in terms of functions should be working. It’s only going to be for updates.

Tell me how did you update? Do you have to have ftp credentials?

So to be clear about 1. YOu can’t have the mobile menu in the topbar unless you want to make a child theme.

2. You have tagline text? It’s white so it’s invisible on mobile. I see that you are adding css for in on desktop do you want it removed on mobile?

3. Your setting a fixed width, height and float to the header widget area… this is bad bad css for responsive site:

.kad-header-widget {
    margin-top: 10px;
    height: 50px;
    width: 220px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    float: right;
}

Please either remove that or place in a media query so you don’t break the site on mobile like it is now.

OK well, I did a lot of testing and in the end it’s something with your host. I was able to even test and use your key and email on another test site where I could activate and deactivate.

So to figure this out I need to try to recreate. can you tell me what type of hosting your using, what type of server? what version of php and what your php settings are?

Hello Ben,

What is the tool in cPanel? I dont see it, dont know it.

I got wp-optimize, but no instructions, just opcions and those -‘restore’ and ‘apply’ buttons look scary. Can you tell me what to do in that plugin? I did t fina an ‘analyze’ option.

About the link, i reported this 1 year ago: i clic the link in the email, then i have to login in kadence site to continue, i do it but im not taken to the forum post but to ‘my account’ and can never find the post, i have to go to my email agai and clic the link again, then voila! I get here and can reply.

Hey,

you should be on wordpress 4.5 There is no reason to be back to 4.3 that doesn’t really make sense? The whole point of security updates is to keep your site more secure.

needing ftp info has to do with the php users permissions and failing with any plugin to complete would totally make sense why a theme would fail, themes are larger more files to move.

I’m not really sure where to tell you to start… Really update wordpress but more then that you need to check file permissions and ownership on the server.

Hi Kevin,

It was my initial idea to make the top bar menu on the site to work for mobile. However, my top bar menu has only three menu items (Call us, Home, contact us).

I would like to have a dedicated mobile navigation menu in which i can include more items.

Any help from Ben and you would greatly be appreciated.
