Hey Ben and Hannah.

My website is getting a little slow, and i want to make sure, that the website is as fast as all others out there.
I´ve read the “need for speed” guide, and i have already improved my loading time from 9,50 seconds to 3 seconds. But im still not satisfied, because many other homepages are having a loadtime below 1 second, which is my goal.

I´ve tried to setup some caching by installing WP Super Cache, and i followed a youtube guide for how to set it up, but i still score low in “caching” “Leverage Browser Caching” 29/100. What do I need to do, do score better in caching, besides installing this plugin?

Then i get a score on 0/100 in “Defer parsing of JavaScript”, but i´ve dont know anything about JavaScript and the use of JavaScript on my site is very limited, so I dont really understand how my JavaScript can be that bad for my loading time?

Last, but not least, i get a score of 44/100 in “specify image dimensions”. I´ve uploaded some images with high resolution, like 7000px. But at the time i uploaded the images i didn’t knew about resizing. Now i need to scale down ALL my images on my homepage, (i guess?), because the images are way bigger than whats optimal. Is there an easier way for me to fix this problem, than by manually taking every photo out of WP library, resizing all images 1 by 1 and then upload them to wordpress again?

When i try to add a page and utilise thrive content builder, it fails. Is there anyway that i can start a new page without header and Pinnacle theme defaults (ie start with default wordpress page)?

Hi ja it seems nothing is there but it is set to revo , I’ll try another slider , need to set one up see what happens both the site dont work in the home slide position .

I did both in my front pages in fr and in en but it is still the same.
I cant translate my slids french fren to english.
what I do in english right now, no modification apparear on my website en english
but if I modify words in my “sliders revolution”, it is ok modifications are done

I have noticed that the google fonts I have used while making a slide in the revolution slider look totally different to what gets rendered on the website.

I used google fonts that are available on revolution slider itself.
For example : Limelight / Redressed

Under the main slider settings – I see dynamically registered google fonts. But, whether they are in ON or OFF mode, it doesn’t seem to be making any difference to the output.

(If I’m not mistaken, my hunch is that this is the case for all the google fonts available on revolution slider….)

Can you throw some light on this issue?

Hi Quentin,
I’m seeing your slider work fine on the second site, but on the first site it doesn’t look like anything is enabled? In Theme Options > Home Slider try selecting something other than the Revolution Slider. Does that work?

Thank you so much. I knew it has to be something simple. I’m learning and getting there. Theses websites I’m doing will hopefully help me to get a graduate web developer job. We cant all know everything. I have to admit you guys on this forum have been so helpful I cannot thank you enough.

I went and had a look at one of my other site it works mid way down the page but not in above header setting http://www.stluciasouthafrica.com mid way down thats a revo slider working , I have taken the one off the front page of this site as i cant have it not working on high rank site , but on the post above its still active but not showing in above header on home slider page ?

How Can I make the margins so they sit nice and neat without it all been up and down? I want to make it uniform so it looks nice and tidy?
