    Hi there,

    When I create an image gallery on a page or post, then go back and edit the gallery and add an image caption, the caption I added shows below the thumbnail on the page but when the image is clicked the caption shown below the image in lightbox display of the image is the filename only.

    Can I have the caption I added when I edited the gallery persist as the caption shown when the image is clicked on and displayed in lightbox?

    Better yet, when I go in the media library there is the option to edit the image with Caption, Alternative Text, Description. I would rather add the info there and be able to call that in the lightbox or wherever I use the image.

    I tried some code options from these like caption=true but still only filename.

    Can you edit the lightbox behavior or do I need to try another lightbox plugin? Is the lightbox plugin part of WordPress or part of your theme? Sorry for all the questions but I am transitioning from having done many sites in DotNetNuke to working with WP.

    thanks again for a great theme,

    Will, Planet Maine

    Thank you, Ben! That would be amazing! We’re using the theme for departmental sites (on a multisite install) and needed a few different CSS options so using the style.css in the child theme didn’t work for us. We did also put the CSS in the Theme Options but some of the department admins would delete it, thinking it was for them to play with so that didn’t work either.

    I really appreciate it! Any ETA on 3.5.5?

    PS. How do I leave feedback or a rating for Virtue and Pinnacle? Thanks!

    Hey Ben.
    So, to your points:

    1)I agree, 6 will be enough for me. Thanks

    2) By Icons I mean the picture of the product.

    3) Yes, thanks. That I missed out)

    I have some more questions:
    1) I am trying to choose better option for my Menu. The matter is that soon I will have more product categories, but the space of the main menu bar is not enough. So I was thinking on 2 approaches. First is to have something like here: citilink.ru They have overall menu like: Home, About us, Contacts and etc on the right top of the page. But as they have many product categories, they have put them onto left side menu. Is it possible to make similar left side menu? If yes how?

    The second option, which I consider is to have additional menu for my product categories just under the main menu. I found how to make that. I tried Left and Right additional menu, both make my product categories be left oriented. Is it possible to place them into the center?

    For both options I have 1 common question for menu of mobile version. Now for the mobile menu I see I can choose only 1 type of menu. E.g. if I choose “Main Menu”, then I do not see the categories. Is there a way to have somehow possibility to have both main and additional menus in the mobile version?

    2) Currently in the mobile version the gallery of featured products does not have arrows and “bullets” under the picture of the first product. So for the shopper it may be not clear that there are some more goods, and she/he needs to list to the right or left to see them. Is it possible to add that? That’s needed only for the mobile version, because on the full site version I will have all the products visible at the same time.

    Thanks
    Alexander

    Hi

    I’ve wanted to edit one of my revolution slider. I can change the slider settings, but if i click on the button “slide editor” the only thing that shows up is “Thank you for creating with WordPress” and the rest of the page is empty.

    I’ve tried it on different computers with different browsers and also deactivated all my other plugins.
    I can create a new slider, but I’m also not able to use the “slide editor”

    I have the newest version of wordpress, pinnacle theme and the revolution slider.

    Couldn’t find a solution in the revolution slider support forum.

    Hope that you can help me.

    Regards,
    Corinne

    The CSS and the navigation don’t work on my blog. The page currently looks like this:

    TravelWorldOnline Traveller

    There was no update, and the site worked perfectly until I checked it just now.

    Can you help?

    #86610

    1. In each pagebuilder row are you setting the bottom margin to 0.

    2. Having the item float into multiple backgrounds and still be mobile friendly will require css, it’s tricky code. I can help though.

    3. If you prefer to use a background image (understand that it’s not going to be the same responsively for mobile) then you can add the background only to the home page by using this css:

    .home .contentclass {
        background: transparent url(http://www.infinitefloor.dorisbarber.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/hopeful-1.png) repeat-x;
    }

    Then you can set the contact background for the rest of your site to white.

    I have lost ‘Portfolio’ pages menu item and function in the WordPress dashboard so I am unable to create any portfolio pages.

    I’ve turned off all the plugins, logged out, logged in, no change. I’ve changed the theme from my child them to the Virtue theme and back, no change. I’ve checked my other sites that run Virtue and they are fine – but they use some non-updated versions of some plugins – unlike the site with the problem. Still, turning off all plugins, logging out, and back on again – there is no change.

    this is the site with the portfolio problem

    You can use pagebuilder to set different backgrounds: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/

    You would have to use a decent amount of css to make on slider overflow into two other rows but if you set up the rows and post a link to your site I may be able to help with that.

    1. Your image shows that spaces are still there?

    2. You have added this js into the footer?

    jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {
    $('#portfoliowrapper-home').isotopeb({ filter: '.fun-foods-2' });
    $('#options .option-set').find('.selected').removeClass('selected');
    $('#options .option-set').find('a[rel=.fun-foods-2]').addClass('selected');
    });

    What is that for?

    Your site requires authentication? I can’t get to the login page without that user and password.

    Hey,
    They could have deactivated any plugin that used a decent amount of memory and the site would have worked. The issue still remains that you need to increase the memory limits.

    Did they tell you want they set the limits too?

    You can try and do this manually editing your wp-config.php file. Just add this:

    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘196M’);

    now that does assume the server will allow that. some low end servers don’t. make sure to add right after “/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */”

    I upgraded to the PREMIUM version and I’m trying to follow the website tutorial.
    When I click on SETTINGS, then on READING SETTINGS I don’t see the option to turn off the Latest Posts (as shown in the tutorial).
    Has this feature been moved?

    Something within the Virtue Theme is causing the Plugin Activation and Plugin Updates boxes for Revolution Slider to not be displayed on the site below. If i change theme then these options come back. They have worked previously. I have disabled a fair few plugins but nothing has worked yet

    Good day,
    I have asked my clients to test my site on Opera Browser platform and they are letting me know that most pictures works but the video media cannot be displayed. Is there something that I can add to make all browsers work?

    – Chrome and IE works fine

    #86535

    Hi, just upgraded to premium, woohoo.

    My site is

    On the primary sidebar, the first item is an ad for “Team Wood”, would like it to align with the top of the image for the home page blog posts. The thing is, when I’m actually in the post, it lines up perfectly. If I need a different sidebar for the home page that’s fine… but I’d like to know if I can get things to align better.

    Thanks, Glenn

    Hey Bob,
    Sorry for your frustrations! To set up the site style two you can enable only Portfolio Full in the homepage layout manager in Theme Options > Home Layout then scroll down to Home Portfolio Full Settings and choose your settings.
    You can find theme documentation here- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/
    Tutorials here- https://www.kadencewp.com/tutorials/
    And blog posts here- https://www.kadencewp.com/blog
    Hope that’s helpful! Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Hi:

    First of all, we are really enjoying and appreciating all the functionality and features you have built into the Virtue Premium theme!

    We would like to use the ‘arrow’ option for dropdown menus, however, the arrow is really tight to the last character in the menu item. Is there a way of adding a little space between the menu item text and the arrow?

    Thanks for your consideration . . . Doug

    How do I do it? there is no video tutorial to help. I’ve tried creating portfolio’s but they don’t seem to save. I must admit, I’m quite new to WordPress, but have been building with Dreamweaver/HTML and CSS for years, and have so far failed to see the benefits of switching over to WordPress.

    I spent hours now trying to use the Virtue premium theme and I can’t create anything that remotely looks like what it advertises. Really frustrating. Is there a way of simply selecting the Site styles and Portfolios, without dozens of menus and sub menus?

    Thanks

    Hi Ben,

    I am having problems with backing up my site. I am getting an error message. I did some research and it looks like I need to increase my PHP memory. I saw that you referred one of the forum members to :

    I could not find the php.ini file and called my hosting company and after about an hour back and forth they created a php.ini in my home directory. However, this blocked me from accessing my site a few minutes later.

    I had to log into my CPanel and remove that php.ini file.

    I know this is not related to Virtue Theme but could you please let me know where to look for the php.ini file. If I could find its location, I could make the modification myself.

    Thanks for the help,
    Jay
