Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me.

I want to widen the content of my website without setting it to full width.
I have tried this in the custom.css:
    #content{
    width:80%;
    }

and this does seem have widened the content but is there a better way to set the width for everything?

Also on a couple of rows in the page builder I have three columns – this seems to make the row appear wider when you view the page vs the other rows?
Any idea what I need to do to fix this to get it aligned? I assume it is to do with margins and padding when you have extra columns?

Unfortunately it is locally hosted at the moment so I cant share a link, but I could forward a screenshot if it helps.

    Thanks in advance, Kathryn

    Hi Peralta,
I’m seeing a 406 error in your site which is typically an issue with your server settings. Have you tried contacting your host?

    Hi,

It can be loaded after some time. I think it is an on-and-off problem.

When the problem occurs, I noticed the loading stop halfway & unable to complete, and only the revolutionary slider, site title and footers are loaded.

Is there a way to find out the root cause?

    Hey everyone,

Sorry if this question has an obvious answer that I’m missing but I’ve looked around and can’t find one.

I’m running the Virtue premium theme with WooCommerce, I’ve made most of the site now, products are added, finally got the Slider Revolution working etc BUT I can’t work out how to create the cart pages (basket, checkout and a terms & conditions page). Do I have to create these myself, I thought they were set up as part of WooCommerce or Virtue theme and all I’d have to do is edit them, but that doesn’t seem to be the case? In the top right hand corner it says Your Cart and then a price of whatever products I’ve added, but if I click on it it just reloads the current page I’m on.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help

Hi. I typically get email notified that there is a new theme version of Virtue available and then I update from the theme menu admin. I started a new site to test and uploaded an older version of Virtue Premium. I’ve had this new site for well over a week and never got the email to update, so I decided to manually update. I activated another theme and then deleted the old Virtue theme from within the WordPress backend (did not uninstall anything). I then uploaded the latest version 3.5.4 from your website from “My Account”. While the website front end appears unbroken, the “Theme Options” backend menu does not work and has a red banner at the top that reads “FORCED DEV MODE OFF ENABLED”. I’ve never updated a theme this way and suppose I messed it up the way did it. Is there a way to rescue this and the settings I had? Thanks very much!

Hi – I have some blog grid style pages which are set to only show posts from a certain category. On certain posts I want to add a widget to show a grid of icons from one of these categories using the same styling as the blog grid post images. Using selectors I was able to match the grid images perfectly to my site and I would like a specific category icon grid in widget form that can also be customized with other selectors in exactly the same style. It seems like the solution might be to use the Virtue: Post Grid widget but so far this does not do what I want. Even while using a full width row in pagebuilder it makes the icons in the Post Grid show up really tiny, blurry and cropped horizontally. I want larger icons maybe two to four across preferably just as they appear on the blog grid. Is there any way to target how these show up through custom css?

This is an example of the styling and post grid style I want to match for the widget:

And this is the page with the Virtue: Post Grid widget that I want to style differently:

Where it says ‘More accessories’ I want the title centered and showing icons just like the blog page grid.

    Hi Ben

In my opinion, I have completed all the settings according to your instructions, but the shop page does not look well. I see no sidbar and the rest of the page looks like a mess. What am I doing wrong ?
Can you help me to get the job done? Thank you !

I am a little Confused about the answers f.i. with using question marks . My English is not sufficient to understand whether it is a question or not.
Due to my poor english I would greatly benefit with additional information a sort of background information.
Can I find a step by step approach on your site?
    Thank you,
    Jos

    Hey,
We use yaost. I have it on many sites with this theme.

I think it would be good to check your error logs. To me it sounds like you’re hitting the max memory limit in your php setting. Can you contact your host and have them check that?

    Hi,guys

    I need your advice.
this is my site: okgadget.ru . Currently I use Featured Products gallery to display my goods on the home page. It is ok now, as I have only 4 types of products. Soon I will have more (more than 10) and I want them to be displayed all together on the home page. I can not use the Gallery for that because it allows me to have max 6 items displayed at the same time, and then the shopper needs to scroll the gallery to the right or left to see other products.
Please advice me how can I place a grid with my products of amount of let’s say 12 or 15. Favorably to have 6 columns.

At the same time I would like to have the same nice orange action call “Add to my cart” for the every product i have in the grid.

And one more question, guys. This is what I found in the forum:
I like that there is a kind of menu, and depending on what you need you can press the needed bar and it will come to the front, while the rest are go to the back.
Is there a way to do similar thing?

    THanks
    Bye

Good question on the external link. None for any. I set this website up a couple of years ago and don’t recall nor see in my notes why I used the External/Affiliate product status. The reason may well resurface now that I’m working on this again.

I like the idea of the woocommerce-catalog-mode plugin. At first review it looks like it may have what I need to keep the website features consistent/similar with what they are now and if so, I can dump the child version. Too many puzzles to work out with the child and as you have likely worked out, I am not a programmer and rarely if ever attempt to write code.

To test this plug in I have one final question before digging in. Should I disable the child theme when testing the features of the catalog mode plugin? If so, please tell me the best way to disable.

Or should I leave it all as is and the whatever settings I use in the catalog-mode plugin will take precedent over the customization coding in the child?

    Thanks.

Hello! How do I change the font color for my blog post dates? I’d like the font color to be white. My site is http://www.sbcreativecontent.com

    Thanks,

ok, well that explains a lot. You must be looking at .org and we have been looking at .com

You should only be using one url. There shouldn’t be two that you can go to that show the same site. So you need to contact your host. Have them add a redirect from the .org to the .com
so that if someone were to type .org they would be redirected.

    Hi

    Thanks Ben and Kevin,

It is still driving me mad. Both SEO by Yoast and Jetpack don’t seem to get on with that theme. I have 3 sites using it, they all have the same issue and the only way I managed to make it go away is by deactivating either or both of the plugins (One only have Yoast, one only have Jetpack, one has both)

You can check on my website, the sub menu is very crowded when appears.
    can you give some suggestion?
    Thanks.

    Hi Ben,

the procedure as described by you in the prior reply is done much earlier by me . That’s not the problem. If you look on the website page http://www.josbogers.nl/_hennywp/winkel , you see all the categories mixed together horizentally. I give you the line that specifies the category (see the url I gave you prior. ) < Alle, 3D applicaties, Acryl verf producten, Handmate , Hobby artikelen, VERF, kinderservies , poppen en trollen > Between < , > you see the current categories. all mixed up. Because <Handmate> is a main category/titel where various categories of a lower level should be knotted ,such as < 3D Applicaties, kinderservies, poppen en trollen>and I have for testing purpose, linked some products .
Hobby artikelen is on the same level as Handmate . A direct category is , for instance, VERF and on a lower level connect to VERF is the category Acryl verf producten.
Due to a lot of dutch words it’s , of course, not easy for you to read those items, But perhaps you would be able to understand what my problem is and what the wish is.
    1) In general I want the categories as mentioned above vertical in a sidebar (prefer left side) 2)The category should have a good structure (what I like to show below) so one can see which products belong to which sub-category and which sub category to which maincategory ,according to the following schedule.

    1.
Handmate (has no products , just 5 categories and 15 products)
    – category 1 – add 3 products
    – category 2 – add 3 products
    – category 3 and so on upto category 5 also include 3 products

    2.
Hobby artikelen (has no products , just 12 categories of each 8 products)
    – VERF (=in english PAINT — this category is divided into brushes, paints like acrylic, watercolor paint)
    – and so on

I hope the structure is clear to you? How can I solve this ? So recapitulating.: Vertical categories in various levels . And if possible on the SHOP page (in dutch -winkel-) and the home page.
    Thank you ,
    Jos
