Glad you got a solution. If your site is getting attacked like that I would suggest looking at the firewall option using a cloud server.

“Is there something wrong with the whole setup?” – sounds like it. Why was it ever on a different url from the one you use? I would suggest contacting your hosting service and asking them to help you set up wordpress to use the url that your site is on.

I can tell from the html markup.

On the other site was not. so if your settings are turned on then it could be a plugin conflicting or overriding. Can you send me a temp login to that site?

I have filezilla. However, UM tech person said they would do it themselves if I give them a wp admin login and ftp credentials. A possible hitch is that Go Daddy doesn’t like us going into their backend via Managed WordPress. I can’t even backup the site on my computer or use Filezilla like I can with their competitors allow me to. Have to rely on Go Daddy to do routine 12 hr backups. Calling Go Daddy on this.

Not certain this is worth it right now. UM developers are working on an invitation extension right now that involves inserting an access code. Maybe I will suggest to clients to wait and use as is for now.

I would also suggest if you plan on writing your own functions that you use an ftp program and not use the wordpress editor. Your more likely to miss a mistake and you will have no way to fix it using the wordpress editor if you bring your site down.

I use the kadence slider, put it above the logo and it works fine on my laptop. On a big scfreen thought the pictures get cut off. I tried different (px) sizes but it does not help…

Hi,

I’ve found a plugin called content blocker or something similar that seems to work pretty well. Has disabled the right arrow and I’ve tried to download it’s content with the sitesucker app and nothing was download.

Hello Ben and Hannah,

I’ve contacted my host again and it looks like the problem is solved at the moment!
All I’ve done was to change the setting in W3 Total. There was an error message when I enabled the minify, so that was disabled and the page cache setting was changed from disk: Enhanced to APC. After that, my site got super fast!

Unfortunately the problem turns up again… and again.
I changed the url to vgphotonics.eu, saved, and it worked. Next day I check the site, icons disappeared. I logged in again and somehow the url is vongegerfeltphotonics.com again. I changed it again, icons appear. Today I log in again, and the same problem occurs.
Do you have an idea why it gets reset? Is there something wrong with the whole setup?

In both sites the virtue gallery is not turned on. I’d try that but it will not work.
At the moment I turned on the virtue gallery in site two, but it will not work, strange enough.

Hi hannah i actually found some code to change the add to cart button but now the ‘view cart’ after navigating through my shop page is not the same.

I would like it to match my other buttons.

Also there is no cart page that is displays anywhere on mysite is there away to add the cart and checkout icons in my top bar on the right hand side?

Hey Ben, sorry but no still the same on my phone and google developer mobile tool (iphone6). Are you logged into any wordpress site when you test it? It seems to work when logged into wordpress. Should I make a video to send you showing what I am doing and how it responds?
