In reply to: splash screen
Hi Ben,
Site in question is http://www.simonedawood.com
Following on from above, I would like to create a “fake” splash page on my homepage but that’s led to a secondary question.
On the site homepage you can see I have a header image. I can only work out how to make this appear on the home page, and not on the other pages. If you click on any of the menu items, you’ll see what I mean.
Could you advise how I’d place the header image currently on the home page on all of the other pages?
I will then follow the steps above to create a lookalike splash page in place of the current home page, and move the existing home page content to another page such as simonedawood.com/home
Cheers!
EdIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: How to put tiny logo?
January 28, 2016 at 10:09 am #78220Hi Ben,
Before I ask a next question I wish to let you know that your customer service is great! You answered all questions I had before.
I have to use banners on site, so I came to a situation when logo compete with banner.
Please help me to put logo (small one!) just next to the phone number or to the name of the company.
Thank you!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Header – Show opening hours between logo and menus
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello all,
I am relatively new to wordpress. However, I have spent a significant amount of time formatting my ecommerce site with reasonable success. Recently, I have been attempting to include a product category sidebar menu that can be accessed while viewing products. For example, I don’t want my shoppers to have to hit the “shop” page icon again to return to the categories selection. At this point, I have included the sidebar menu that I have set to include “categories”. However, these are simply my different pages on my website. I’m sure there is a simple fix to this. However, I haven’t been able to find it. Additionally, visual appeal and relevance to the overall theme is of the utmost importance. I look forward to the replies. Thanks!Franky Davis

Hi,
I am using pinnacle premium with woocommerce to build our website.
All of the background images are full width, except for the shop main page.
I do not know code or css etc, but the settings I can see and change on the theme and wordpress options look identical to all the other pages so I am at a loss how this one page is different.
The same image is used on a few other pages so it is not the image.
Can anyone help please? It is not a published site so I can’t send you a link.

January 28, 2016 at 3:35 am #78163Hi Hannah,
I deactivated some of my plugins and they’re still showing the same, I am using the following plugins for this specific website:
-Askismet
-Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
-Contact Form 7
-Page Builder by SiteOrigin
-Slider Revolution
-WP Super CacheI’m still having problems with the “feature d projects” area being squished on the main page (please refer to screenshot: http://snag.gy/3MXZq.jpg). Notice that the featured projects section is squished so I’m not sure how to fix that.
Please advise.
Thanks,

In forum: Virtue ThemeHowdy,
Please look at *Login to see link
I’ve been asked to provide credit for photos used on our website. I can do it 2 ways:
(1) annotate the photo itself (time-consuming), or
(2) add a line of text under the photo.
This page shows both.In case 2, it would be aesthetically preferable if the right-hand side of the text “Photo by Brian Rope” could be aligned with the right-hand side of the photo to which it refers. This happens automatically when the window width is <= the photo width, but on wide screens with wide browser windows the text moves far to the right of the photo’s RHS. Sure, simple left alignment works but it looks ugly on some pages.
Is this possible with some custom CSS?
Thanks
WalterIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I’v two websites where I used the Virtue Theme (version 3.4.5)
For my blog I used the WordPress gallery and in both of the website I used the same gallerysettings. But the problem is that both sites have an different way to publish the gallery. On the site: Ruud Engels the thumbs are smaller, but most important, when I open an image I can scroll with the cursor to an other picture.
On the site: Stichting de Uitwijk the thumbs have a square format, but I can’t scroll to an other image. I’v first close one image before I can open an other image.
Is there anyone who can explane how I can fix it, that site two also works on the same way as the first site, so I can scroll between the images.
With kind regards.
RuudIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi Kadence,
I am working on one blog but would like to have something sort of like sidebars in a magazine, where I add smaller posts that are connected to the main post, but are also sort of their own entity that people could look up separately if they wanted to.
To be more clear, my blog is about wine and wine travels but if I find some excellent food/restaurants or something interesting to see or do in the wine region, I’d like to write about it in a type of off-shoot blog. People would be able to see these other “mini” articles if they clicked on the main post or they could look them up under their own umbrella (“food” and “other things to see & do”, for example). But then these mini articles could also guide the reader back to the main post if there was interest since they would be connected (perhaps under the same theme/categories).
Is this possible? If so, any suggestions on how to make this happen?
Thanks so much.

I can say this subject is resolved.
I couldn’t take it any longer, so what I did was exported the settings the virtue theme and imported it .. and it worked …
http://petlvr.com/pics/woocommerce-dog-category-fixed-now.PNG here is a working image, as it should be! Woohoo. Now – I refresh and look after saving any new changes – takes longer but don’t want to screw up.
RE: // my other thread (item-site) .. if you can still help and want access – email me [email protected] and I will set you up
Meanwhile, I will mark this resolved.
Thanks // sorry for troubles.
HARTIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Drop down navigation
Hi,
I’m trying to build a drop down navigation as in *Login to see link
But on this page, I have to add row and add a drop down menu, it is very inefficient to do it this way.
Since we are a information site I try to manage pages more classified, is it possible that I could add a navigation drop down menu like this for each page?Thank you very much,

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Breadcrumb not in line
Hey guys,
I have one page where the breadcrumbs are not working properly — where there is a page break in the breadcrumb which also makes the image taller. But the other pages are right, and I can’t figure it out.
This page is wrong:
If I rename the page FAQ1 (or anything else), the layout is right. The rest of the pages are right.
The site has a login

a1234aIn forum: Virtue ThemeNot too familiar on how the whole child theme thing works i tried out the code below which worked to bring in the Revolution Authorise options so I thought I could just paste that code into Virtue – Premium: functions.php. I was wrong. Pasted it into the bottom of the page and now my site doesnt work.
function kt_rev_slider_init() {
remove_action( ‘init’, ‘kt_rev_slider_as_theme’);
}
add_action( ‘init’, ‘kt_rev_slider_init’, 1);I went into FTP disabled the plugins and attempted to see if i could remove the above code from the functions.php but couldnt find that code or any code in there that looks like what was in the function.php file that i originally pasted into (i have a screenshot)
Tried uploading an older function.php file but that didnt work.
Is there a way out of this? Or what is the least painful fall back?
The now nonworking URL is http://www.rupertvamp.co.uk

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Header – Show opening hours between logo and menus
You should be able to accomplish this by going into Theme Options> Main Settings> Logo Options and select the widget enabled header. Then go into Appearance> Widgets> and assign a Text Widget to that area, and you’ll be able to put the store hours within that. I’ve been running into issues getting this to work on my test site, but this technically should work. If it doesn’t, let me know.
