This is a very specific situation that can’t be changed and both Host and Domain registrar are no help. If you have any advice at all, I’d love to hear.

Two different sites: both hosted at Bluehost via IP/A Record only. MX records point to Google or Godaddy
3 contact forms same result: When I enter any email address for the submissions to be sent to, all is well, any email address but an email address ending in the domain of the site like: @domain.

Spam filters are off, but it is not even making it to the servers so this makes no difference.

Kadence contact: Form appears to be submitted – never makes it to email server
Ninja forms: same as above
SiteOrigin: Error mail cannot be sent at this time please try later
pomerantzlaw.org – Kadence Registered with GoDaddy – Godaddy mail servers
njoyevent.com – Pinnacle – Registered with domain.com – Google mail server.

Hi Ben,

It seems to be back up and running (yay!) here is the link http://www.aussiepm.com.au/wordpress/

My question is can I set up the pages so that the information is displayed before the widgets when it is on mobile view? My customer was unhappy that the view wont be the same as it is on a computer and didn’t like that the sidebar widgets showed before the site information.

I hope I am making sense, my apologies for being a pain 🙁

Hey,
So I would suggest putting the site into maintenance mode while you do this.

Then by removing the folder and uploading the older version you will not change anything in the database so all your orders settings etc will be there. Your just changing out the template files.

Putting into maintenance will help incase someone tries to order right in the middle of this switch.

That isn’t how the plugin is set up. I think you would have to login under that persons account.

If there is a way around this you would need to get that from their plugin support. Have you tired contacting them on their site?

If I do that will it still preserve all of the orders already under the WooCommerce tab in the dashboard? Any way to preserve the Settings I may have customized? Or is that information stored elsewhere? Sorry to be such a pain, but this is a live production site so I need to proceed carefully, especially after screwing things up with this 2.5 update!

I deleted everything and reinstalled it again. My site is working properly so far. I don’t know what caused the issue but now is working fine.

I tried their suggestion but it didn’t work. I have a “mirror” site for testing that’s running WooCommerce 2.4.12 and this still works fine. The site that I upgraded to 2.5 last night is “broken”. Is there any clean way to back level my WooCommerce installation to 2.4.12?

It’s really helpful if you can answer each question:

so in your php.ini file your memory is set to 128mb? this is much different from something in your cpanel telling you the site status. If you don’t know then you need to contact your host.

Is your host using mod-security and if so is it up to date?

When your host tells you this do they explain why they think that is the issue?

Can you send me a temp login? so I can take a look?

Hey,
1. If you would like to show your date like this: 2016-01-21 you can using the settings > general. I’m working on a way to make google look at meta instead of the visible text… really silly how google changed this every other week. They want to pull more from actual content then they make it so whats being pulled is not how people want to see dates…

2. Google started making blog posts and news articles pull the same info (at least when you run the testing tool). This is beyond stupid to me since a blog post is usually much different then a news article. I’ve read quite a bit on this and I’ve decided not to make each blog post look like a news article to google. It doesn’t make sense and this isn’t something a theme should force on a site. You can look here for information.

Google showing it as an error can be miss leading. It’s an error if you want the post to show as a news article. Google will still show the post using a rich snippet it just won’t show in the news section of a search. And by getting an error it will not effect your SEO negatively because the “error” doesn’t mean negative points or whatever you want to call it.

So to be clear Google can still see the micro data, things like your featured image but it’s not in a news format and if your wanting to support that then I suggest using a plugin that adds it as meta instead of as part of the html markup of the page since I really doubt your wanting to have the publisher, author, date modified etc all showing for each post every time you see a post. The theme controls the micro data output to an extent that it defines what is visible based on schema but past that for specifics/extras it really should be controlled by a plugin.

Hey,
Because this is not something every site would want it should be done through a plugin or child theme. It’s like most of the SEO stuff, It’s not something that a theme should control since it’s two specific and shouldn’t be set in stone but rather data that is saved as part of the site not dependent on the theme.

I would suggest looking for a plugin that does this.

Also to clarify if your considering using a child theme it would not be smart or reasonable to get a number out of the contact page content or get social links out of the virtue social link widget or get the logo out of the theme logo upload (since the size would need to be different). If anything the logo should come from your site image that you set in the customizer. But really it should just all be specific.

I have searched the forums here along with the web and can add having problems uploading the Virtue demo content via the Kadence Importer. Get the note about memory size and execution time. Just to note, working on local host with Bitnam/WAMP and have memory set to 1000M and execution to 900s. Also get the Redux note about shared icons- this does go away when theme is deactivated.

Have done the WP Reset and have only the Plugins required for Virtue theme (sliders, WOOcommerce, Site Origin…) activated and WP 4.4.1.

Just wondering if any updates or maybe there is a specific procedure to follow.

Yes. If there was a timeout trying to fetch update info that shouldn’t have caused your wordpress site to go down. Means something isn’t set up correctly because wordpress should move on if no response is received. This could have to do with a php setting like your max execution time. Do you know your php settings?

Hey,
I’m trying to read through to make sure I understand the question. You can have an mp4 self hosted video auto play but you can’t use a video from a news site and have it auto play on your site unless that news site specifically allows it.
