super cache does not clear automatically. It’s annoyingly bad at this you will always have to clear the cache in the settings.

Hi Ben,
This is not a Virtue theme problem but I’m stumped and thought you may have a direction to point me in. I have a couple different wordpress sites (6) including 2 test sites and have a problem where 4 of them (as of this morning) can’t have their posts edited using one of my computers — a Windows 8.1 computer. I have another computer but since I have users who only use 8.windows , this may be a problem. I thought it was a problem with the computer only until I realized that I could edit things just fine in 2 of the sites using that 8.1 computer. Unfortunately my users are primarily on one of the sites that can’t be edited in Windows 8.1.
So, now I’m looking at “what’s different” and all sites use the same wp install but it is not a multisite install. All sites have their own plugins (do not share) and own databases (given). There’s no common overlap in terms of ssl vs no ssl and I’ve run through the plugins (one site down to nada and still aproblem) All sites can be edited using a different computer (Linux, and windows 7 in VMware, as well as on a Raspberry pi) but only two of the six can be edited using the Windows 8.1 machine.
I can create new posts on the problem sites with the 8.1 computer but once they’re saved they cannot be edited in the 8.1 machine. Also weird, all editing tools are not there or functioning when I bring up the existing post to edit and the page builder tab doesn’t show up even on new posts, on editing the tags don’t show up, can’t get the drop down menu on the post edit page to edit the time of a post.
I really appreciate your assistance if you can point me in a direction that might be a good starting place. I really don’t see the obvious link. And I really don’t know much about windows 8.1 which I suspect to be the problem. Thanks so much! for any assistance you can provide.

As you can see, its 900px wider and I have a 15px padding/spacing left and right of the content. I would like to to display the slider across the whole 900px (without affecting the padding elsewhere). Right now its confined to 870px and cannot go wider.I have several bits of CSS in place which deal with site width:

1. Did you add anything in the widget classes or css to the booking agent if so remove that.2. It looks like you might have added to a widget other then the simple text widget like a siteorgin editor widget. It also looks like your missing this part:

That shouldn’t show like that and doesn’t show for me on the demo. or for woocommerce sites in general. Can you post a link to this page?

yes that I did. Now the site works very well. I have updated the php version up to the latest one and significantly increased the memory settings. The site works very fast now. thanks for the advice.
However I applied for your help this time for another reason. The problem I face is that sometimes when I open my site it shows hieroglyphs, not Russia. And then after reloading the site 3-5 times, it finally starts to show Russian letters.
Is there any way to solve that?

You will want to install the theme correctly which will show two themes on your sites admin. once you activate the one without the extra folder then you will need to reassign menus and widgets because those are saved in wordpress based on the folder of the theme.
then you can remove the whole virtue_premium_v3_2_5 folder.
If you preview the correctly installed theme you can assign menus and widgets before activating so current people using your site will not see any issue. Or you can wait and do this at a slow time

I used updraft to clone from my test development site to permanent site home.
If I remove that folder, will it impact the rest of my site?? Kind of a wordpress noob. It’s a woocommerce site, it’s live and it is taking orders.
I was trying to install a child theme plugin and that’s when I got the error that I had posted.

Where are you seeing Please install Revolution Slider Plugin? Because that would only show if you say selected to show a rev slider on the home page. Which you control and you certainly don’t have to show a rev slider.As for the error “folder already exists” this could mean that the plugin was installed incorrectly or removed incorrectly and there is an empty folder in the plugins folder of your site. You made need to login to your cpanel and go to the web file manager to remove that empty folder.

What do you mean by convert everything over to child theme, a child theme shouldn’t only have the bare minimum of what you need to change.Your error shows the file structure is incorrect on your site.. you have this folder: “virtue_premium_v3_2_5” and that shouldn’t be there and that would cause issues with a child theme. How did you install the theme? Looks like you might have uploaded the zip through ftp or something instead of installing through wordpress.

You won’t be able to do this from the site login it will have to be through the server.

You either have an outdated version of the “akismet” plugin or it’s broken on your site. This isn’t related to the theme at all. you need to contact your hosting provider or login to your server and remove the plugin.
