Hi Ben – yes, I bought that plug in as it seemed to offer the closest thing I could find to the sample, and I was delighted when it worked. However I then discovered that it didn’t respond properly, causing the images to stretch out of shape on mobile and iPad – something I have yet to try and resolve.
I’d be delighted if you has a CSS solution I can understand! I initially thought I’d get away with adding the Virtue Gallery as it offers the pop up description, but I need custom links from the images and an initial caption as per that sample. I’d be grateful of any help as I’m only just starting to use WordPress/Themes to replace my HTML/CSS/Dreamweaver style fixed size sites and finding it a bit confusing! In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: "Menu" title missing
I have built 2 Virtue sites to try it out. The first site started from demo content, and I took unneeded stuff out set it up. The other site was built with no demo starting content and I added what I needed. The second site shows the text “Menu” in the primary menu when the browser window is narrowed (as it goes to a more mobile layout). The first site doesn’t do this, no text appears. I have been unable to find a setting for this. (Using Chrome browser on Win7)

1. On mobile phones, the background above my call to action that frames the slider has also gone besides the white space which I wanted to be removed.
4. Could you give me the css to hide it on desktops? I have a site icon in my theme settings, under site identity …. doesn’t that work too?
5. How do I do that? How do I add the link into the header through a child theme? I tried inserting it in the php files, but it causes an error. Can you also give me the css for it?

Hi Ben,
I just want to clarify.
1. My current website display on a desktop preview is okay.
2. On mobile preview here is the problems;
– The logo is not centered.
– the logo is overlapping the primary menu.I want;
– the logo to be centered and placed on between the top menu and primary menu.
– the logo to have a white background cover from left to right. If you dont mind me you can preview my website on a mobile so that you will know what i mean.
Thank you very much.

December 7, 2015 at 8:47 pm #70342Wow!!! I just solved the issue after days of research and many trials this is what I did: I created a new wordpress installation on another subdomain then I used File Manager in cPanel to move the wp-admin folder from the new install into the directory of the website I had the issue with to overwrite the wp-admin folder in that directory. Now I can finally see all the files in my media section when I go to media in the WordPress Dashboard and whenever I go to insert an image.
I guess some files were corrupted in that wp-admin folder but since I had no time to verify which one I just copied the entire folder. Thanks again for your help.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Importing an existing Woocommerce cart
Thank you, Ben. I’ve not heard of that plugin, but then again, I’ve never had the need to migrate a site.
I’m not sure I understand this: “Then make the moving hosting it’s own thing.”
If I’m understand you correct, all I need to do is install this plugin on the existing site then install it on the new site (on the new server). I’m sure I’ll need to install the plugin in order to figure out how to duplicate… move… upload…. whatever it is I need to do to get the store moved over.
Now that I’ve imported the demo site should I delete all of the pages and products that came with the demo site BEFORE I use the duplicator plugin?

December 7, 2015 at 7:37 pm #70335Hi Ben,
I am building a site with WPML in 3 languages (English, Traditional Chinese & Simplified Chinese).
The site is frequently not loading…..
Site: http://www.edinskincare.com/
The server company feedback this site is overusing all the resources (CPU, RAM etc…), maybe due to the revolutionary slider
I have a single language site with the slider & it is running fine.
I do want to keep the slider.
What can I do to ensure all 3 languages can be loaded smoothly?
Best Regards,

December 7, 2015 at 5:34 pm #70306Hey,
If you have a store already then you can just activate the virtue theme on that site no need to do any migration. Then make the moving hosting it’s own thing and you can use the duplicator plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/Ben

December 7, 2015 at 5:11 pm #70302Hey,
Just for clarity. The theme doesn’t edit or effect the wordpress restore tools in anyway. On a working site they would work just fine.Looking at the errors on your site they all seem to stem from bad settings in your minify of w3 total cache. For testing turn that off so you can see whats going on.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I’m changing web hosting companies and will be using the premium version of Virtue. At the moment, I’m attempting to import your demo, using your import plugin, but ran into a PHP timeout problem (which I’m going to contact the web host about). How do I import – or migrate – my existing Woocommerce store, which is also tied into my Quickbooks account? I would rather move my existing store over to the new site instead of rebuilding the store from the ground up.Thank you!

December 7, 2015 at 3:53 pm #70277Hey,
So you have some errors on your site: “rlArgs is not defined” – is one of the js errors.Whenever there are js errors caused by plugins or improper caching or minify it can create issues throughout the site just based on how the browser is loading the page.
Because all your js is minified and your using caching I can’t see enough in the code to tell you exactly what the issue is other then you have javascript errors.
If you can send me a login, I can learn a lot and let you know what plugin or setting is incorrect and I can do this with minimal to no impact on anyone looking at your site.
you can use the feature here on the forums to post a private reply with login details.

December 7, 2015 at 3:44 pm #70275Hey,
Are you editing theme files directly or just setting up the site through the theme options? If your only changing settings in the theme options you don’t need a child theme.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Site crashing…
So I have done all of my site setup and design on a crappy shared godaddy.com server and finally moved my site over to a fancy 3GB RAM dedicated server. Problem is the site has been consistent crashing 1-2 times daily. On the godaddy servers the site ran slow but never crashed. I have installed New Relic and had the hosting company setup advanced Apache logging, etc. but I cannot seem to source what is causing the site tocrash… has anyone experienced issues like this with WordPress and the Kadence theme?
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Page Builder Margin
Hey guys! New client site *Login to see link
I’m trying to decrease the spacing between the Page Builder rows. I’ve tried Settings > Page Builder > Layout, also the paddings in the actual Page Builder are both set to 0. I also tried chopping/editing some CSS from solutions I saw on here but no luck.
Thank you so much!

Ben, hi
I face from time to time with the same problem: when I download my site it shows the hieroglyphs. I have to reload the page 2-5 times, and only then it shows Russian. I tried that from different devices, and it happens still often. How I can fix that?
Thanks
ALexanderIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Move primary-menu cart to header widget
Hi again!
Thanks for all you´re help. Your support is fantastic.
I´ve managed to get both the cart and the search-widget to be placed as I want except for a few pixel-widhts around 1000 px. That´s when the logo shrimps, then the cart jumps up a few pixels. How do I fix that? That also happens when I view the site on my Ipad in the horizontal mode.
