In reply to: Creating the Blog Demo
Thank you for the response Hannah. It is indeed helpful. I’ve created an Archive page and now I want to know if I can customize the page to have the text center aligned (monthly archives, categories, recent posts) in addition to clearing any formatting so the bullets are removed?
Could you also tell me how I can change the actual font of the site header? Is that possible without creating a child theme? I suppose this is related but I’ve noticed that with the exception of the ‘home’ page, every other page has the picturesque mountain as a background and I’d like to disable this across the board. Thank you again Hannah.

Thanks Ben,
I am actually working for my father’s business and he does not want any website changes (other than corrections) while we are taking many large orders using the website, so I will decline to switch to the Premium theme for now. Thanks for providing a link to the wordpress-seo plugin. Are you sure that free theme version 2.6.0 will fix this duplicate website title issue? If so then I would rather just upgrade to that version when it becomes available and then later after our big sales period is over I can migrate to the premium theme.
Thanks for your help.

Hey Jason,
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the theme!
The slider gallery can be set from Theme Options > Home Slider. Select Post Carousel as the latest posts slider style.
Can you be more specific about the archive page? Where are you getting stuck?
There actually isn’t a site-wide tagline option. You can set a tagline for each page, but not for the whole site unless you added it into a child theme.
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeThanks.. My website is motifhut.com
Another thing.. I always see the following messages..
Your theme (Virtue – Premium) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme. Please advise which page need to be removed.. Thanks

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Website Title Duplicated on Browser Tab
Hello Hannah,
I tried viewing my website on Google Chrome Version 46.0.2490.80 m and Firefox 42.0.
I was using the free theme and only I ordered the Premium version because I needed to get support for this issue. I am reluctant to upgrade my website to the Premium theme because I have already created a lot of custom CSS and I am afraid that there could be some compatibility issues going from the free to the premium version. We are taking orders for our product currently so we can’t afford any down time. How can I send you a screenshot? I have a jpg file but not sure how to include it on this forum.
Thanks for your advice.

Thanks for responding to the following below. You said I need to reset the theme to get to the style I need. How do I do the restart?

November 10, 2015 at 1:34 pm #66391If you can post a link to your site where you are working I may be able to help with that.
Ben
In forum: Virtue Theme1. Yes, that has to do with caching. Are you using a caching plugin? Some plugins (like WP Super Cache) require clearing your cache after every change is made. We recommend W3 Total Cache or WP Rocket.
2. If your site is under construction users shouldn’t be able to add anything to their cart. What construction plugin are you using? Can you post a link to your site?
3. The shortcode you’re seeing is the icon shortcode. You can add from the Virtue Shortcodes tab of the visual editor.
This explains the contact page- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#contactpageHope that helps!
HannahIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello Kadence, tremendous fan of your products.

On the home page, I’m trying to center my image gallery. Centering works fine with the “Thumbnail Grid” but when I switch to circle it’s shifting the alignment to the left. I attempted wrapping it in a div, that’s not changing it (only if it’s Thumbnail Grid).
I made sure to do three items, since I saw another post suggesting putting less than might cause shifting since originally I was testing with two items. All this did was squish things to still be left aligned.
I saw a few changes that involved editing css and see everyone suggesting using a child theme. I’m open to making a child theme, is that as simple as connecting FTP and duplicating my current theme’s folder with the -child as instructed by WordPress Codex? I’ve been editing the original from download, risky I know. I’d like to get my Virtue Premium as the default from download and be working on my child theme.

November 10, 2015 at 12:50 pm #66376Hey,
For something more specific or extra fields I recommend using a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
With that you can send attachments to yourself through the forum so you can collect all the data.Because you are creating a custom post with the testimonial forum there is security risks for a site if you allow an image upload since the image would be stored on your server.
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey,
You can absolutely switch. You’re paying for the theme, not the layout. Are you using the kadence importer? If so, I would recommend doing a fresh restart on your site. You can use a plugin like this- https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/
Just keep in mind all your current content will be deleted.Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeThanks Hannah.. Few more question..
1. Everytime I change something in the website, I need to log out and log in back to see the
changes. Is it caching issue? How Can I resolve?

etc. Is there anyway to protect it until I finally release site
3. Any tutorial for creating an About Us or Contact Us page. From where this icon is coming etc. Need more details. Please provide me tutorial of crating contact us or About us page if any..

In forum: Virtue ThemeNovember 10, 2015 at 10:16 am #66358Hi
I purchased the Virtue Premium Style 1 four days ago, I just found out that Style 3 is better for my website. Do I need to purchase style 3 or could I get a credit to switch to Style 3?In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Creating the Blog Demo
First of all I wanted to express my gratitude for this awesome theme and your tutorials. I’m still having a bit of difficulty replicating the structure and layout of the Pinnacle Blog Style site. The blog I am referencing can be found here. A few things that stand out to me is I’m missing the lovely slide gallery that has large images of your blog posts scrolling from right to left. I’m also not sure how to create the archive page like you’ve done. Last but not least, I am certain that I have set a site tagline however it is not displaying properly. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
In forum: Virtue ThemeI just installed the Premium version of Virtue Theme. Everything was working just fine. I had some pages up allready. Then I decided to install the 5 Kadence recommended plugins. Installing was fine… but after activating them I got the following message on every single page:
Fatal error: Class ‘ZipArchive’ not found in /home/medialij/public_html/test/wp-content/plugins/cyclone-slider-pro/cyclone-slider.php on line 401
I can’t work on the website at this point. Login is impossible. What to do?

In forum: Virtue ThemeOn the home page of my site (wp.expo venice.it) I am using the widget virtue recent posts. I wish I could put a thumbnail bigger than standart (80×50), possibly size 150x100px. I have included the CSS
.kadence_recent_posts img
{width: 150px;
height: 100px;
}
and the image is larger, but grainy.
I would also like to add the article abstract. What code should I enter?
Thanks for your help!In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Adding a gradient behind a two-column layout
Hi Ben,
Thanks for the quick reply. I’m using Beaver because I tried both it and pagebuilder when I had just the free version of your theme, and Beaver seemed to work better. Now I have 18 pages built with it, and I’d basically be re-starting my entire website to make the switch. It actually works great with Virtue, except when I’ve added my own code in order to create two columns with the gradient behind them.
Here’s the same link link. It’s about 3/4ths of the way down the page. It’s to my company’s existing site, not the one I’m creating in WordPress, so it’s just an example of what I’m trying to recreate. Not sure the link is really helpful anyway.
On mobile, I’m wanting two-drop down columns. That’s where the problem is. On mobile, the columns now appear side-by-side, but too scrunched together to be pleasantly readable.
